OH boy I came home after a long day of coding and there are battle challengers!

I see we got some new challengers today :D how exciting but im sure I wint be able to fight some they look strong lol

Welp I can do the first two but the third looks well outta my payrange!

Rah said on the news post the challengers will be around until the boss is gone. Which makes it sounds like they will only be around for the weekend at most.

Anyone else with multiple battle pets less than thrilled to hear this? They put a cap on that made it so if you wanted to keep battling regularly, you would like make multiple battle pets. And this is the second event (Tempest was first) where they don't seem to be giving enough time to battle the challengers :(

got up to 3 wins on tashiin for anzo. i feel like if i actually cobble together a proper set for him, i'll get up to five. but for the meantime, i went through and got loot from the medium/hard challengers on like 8 of my pets. i sooo wish they'd have actually coded us multiple defaults like they promised they were going to :(

What's up with Tashiin boosting our pet's strength and defense?

His Spirit Spear boosts your pet's strength by 125, while Up in Smoke boosts Def by 75. Rather...odd. Usually the opponent's boosting his own stats to be trollin'. xD

oh gawd, my kingdom for multiple default sets. I've been fighting everything with a t7 set so I don't have to keep switching weapons between pets. :')

I haven't battled him yet -- still doing the fishies w/my littles… but could it be a typo, or are your pets stats getting upped for sure?

I was using a T5 set, but finally finished w/the smallest so I added RIWoD for the next 4 -- all T6. lol

I cant beat Tashiin! Gave it a good go and maybe if I could just chain freeze him 4-5 times in a row I might be able to get one kill but not the 5 for the items. Oh well. At least the book was a drop from the not super tough challenger~

Seriously multiple default sets would be great considering having to set up a tier 3 set for Allo constantly is driving me crazy and he's only been able to battle for like 2 days now.

While I am super happy that there is a battling part of this plot, it does annoy me that it's been so slow moving the rest of the time and then BAM! we get a day or two to battle all of these opponents. (Except Goo Hund...) Couldn't they have spaced it out? An opponent per step perhaps? Goo Hund was a good start, they should have done escalating opponents that coincided with the steps, and then released the boss with the "just kidding, appeasing the spirits didn't work" update.

I just don't understand the thought process.

Yeah I'm not super keen on the long drawn out days of waiting and then suddenly ALL THE CHALLENGERS butonlyforlikeoneday.

I don't think it's a typo. And the stat boosts are actually making it easier for El to do some serious damage in only a few turns. I didn't steal any of his weapons (haven't tried that yet) can't steal Tashiin's weapons; he's using his own and it's boosting Elfric for some reason.

And he has at least two of each.

like i get what they were going for story-wise, but subeta seems to have a problem of worrying too much about adhering to lore and less about... practicality...

i can only hope they keep around the battle challengers for a little while, because it'd totally suck for anyone who decided not to log in this friday otherwise...

LOL!!!! I can hardly wait to battle him! Maybe one of my T7s can take him if he boosts like that! :)
