I was spending a fortune on mage amulets, but the past month or so it's been even worse than the seemingly already diminished odds with getting tomes. Even buying amulets at 250k doesn't seem worth it at this point. Anyone heard anything or experiencing similar?

I've gone a week without getting tomes, the Mage just likes being a jerk. The past 3 days though I got a tome a day from small turn ins of amulets... granted my own luck is all over the place with him. A few days ago I turned in 12 amulets and got all shards so... it just seems some days he favors people... other days, nope. Best wishes!

Is it worth it to buy the Fringe magazine for 250csc to read to a pet? idk if I'm there yet really with reading to Pacifist, I still have a ton of cheaper (restockable) books I could read her ...

If you can wait until there is the Black Friday sale and are half price to read to your pets, that might be a better solution.

Just did it. 2000 (or 1999 lol) amulets, 340 tomes. Average rate of 5.88 amulets per tome.

I'm in your boat, I've turned in so many amulets and gotten nothing but shards for a really long time. Didn't do Quentin yet today so we'll see what happens.
