Wow. That was going really well - I got her down to 1k health - then she spammed her skin regenerations for the next few turns - she managed to climb back up to 11k. And then my parched drops, she managed to land 2 freezes and takes me down to 2k, when I unfreeze. Use my pquill and parched sets up - though she freezes again and takes me to 4k - before I get a couple of hits in and manage to take her out. Moral here is... always try and blast a skin regeneration, or it'll (almost) screw you over in the end. :P

GUYS. I've got an idea to solve our godlies problem.

Remember those awesome mod crystals that were never released? WHAT IF...they could block 15-20 icons of an element, like Ice. And the crystal could cost like, 20 Impossible tokens.

So if you have a RoE, which has the chance to block 60 ice icons and 3 mod slots, you could mod it to block 30 ice icons, so then there's that chance it could block 90 ice icons.

We wouldn't need to worry about godlies, new and old. Still requires players to work towards something.

The only downside is obviously regarding weapon lending/borrowing, since mod crystals get removed when you take a weapon out of the armory. Compensation to replace crystals would be...interesting. But eh.

That's an interesting concept. I like that idea. Or it can make your godlies extra powerful. Maybe.

I like the idea but I'm not sure it will fly. It would easily turn weapons like tempestuous bladed gauntlet and tainted keeper skull staff into super OP weps for defensive based pets (which is sorta what staff wants but it might be overkill). If I modded my skelly staff with 2 each of those crystals with 2 different defense types other than earth and dark, I now have a weapon that blocks 130-140 total of 4 icon types and for a defensive based pet, those blocks will scale well with a high BPI (is that what was decided on for "defense" per icon lol). It would basically make a skelly staff far superior to most godlies :/ (though I would love to use that weapon modded as such XD). Of course that would mean dropping parched but, I find that one weapon with 4 parched mods is usually enough to keep the freezes at bay unless you just get a particular bit of bad luck. overall it averages out pretty well. It's an interesting idea to tweak around though :D I think it could work with different numbers or some other kind of limitations.

Yeah...figuring out the denominations is obviously a WIP. The current elemental baguettes block what, 3 icons? Maybe the top crystal could block 10 icons, so if you mod a weapon with 3-4 slots, you could easily have 30-40 extra icons.

If we're not gonna get godlies, might as well make your own. It adds onto the whole "strategy" idea the site's always going for. Besides, I love those crystals Jill had drawn up. It's a shame they're still not being put to good use.

I do really like the idea, and it would certainly instantly bring some more use to defense. And it would bring more strategy, for sure.

All these ideas floating around lately makes me curious what exactly our "big things" for battlers are going to be (SOONâ„¢). I really do expect it will partly be a stat cap increase but I also assume there will be some more and hope there will be much more to it than that.

Same, same...maybe we'll get to punch some baddies this Survival?

From the hints being strewn about from staff there will definitely be "something" going on for survival, and as a daily lurker and sometimes poster here in the BCC, I hope there's some opponents too, but good or bad doesn't matter so much XD. Un-undeath to Skitters!!!!

- Oh man, I'd love to take one of those crystals and stick it on y P-Staff to make it a legit fire blocker. And survival plot baddies? Yes Please :D
