and you know, i have to say. now that i can beat every BQ opponent without too much of a struggle, i think i can finally pinpoint my least favorite opponent without any bias weighing me down.

it's wyrmgear. that multi-use full blocker is just such bullshit. my battles with wyrmgear always go way longer than they ought to because of that friggin sonicboom.

I like Wyrmgear though. :(

Personally, my least favorite 750+ EXP BQ opponent (other than either Careaper variant) is Gate Keeper. He usually goes smoothly, but he does get really frustrating when he uses that PoBow every last turn. Too much luck involved and he doesn't have quite the fun factor that Hustler has.

i'd like wyrmgear a lot more if that sonicboom went bye bye

gate keeper is annoying too, especially with how often i get frozen by him. he looooves freezing on the first turn with me.

It's kinda hilarious that with all that PoBow use the Gatekeeper never seems to get the curse to activate. Least I've never seen it happen. I did find it funny when I use PoBow against him I get the curse to activate for me against him.

Kinda like how you battle GE and his Psycho Smasher doesn't freeze and yours does.

Opponents can't use custom code and the freeze+curse on PoBow is a rare attack type of thing. It is like how if your opponent were to steal maniacal essence, they can't use the rare attack (which changes the icon types used and blocks 100 light alongside the usual dark block and curses).

Thought of by staff long ago. Like back in the Aaron days long ago. The idea was combining it with runing. Basically, you could only put one super awesome crystal on if you have X number of Tear or Baguette crystals. That would keep you from putting four super awesome crystals on gods or one super awesome crystal on a crappy one mod slot weapon making better than something much more expensive. Now, they could just match it to tiers instead. Only tier 8 and above weapons can have a super awesome crystal. Only tier 6 and above weapons can have a good shit crystal. Etc.

- I'm with you on Wyrmgear. The other day I got a crit on turn one, left him with about 20 HP, the he Sonic boom +repair bot, then proceeded to use sonic boom every single turn after that until he eventually killed himself from negative heal damage, it was the worst! What should have been a two turn battle turned into 12.

Ugh, lost 50ksP on Quentin and he wasn't even nice enough to give me an amulet for my troubles, 12k EXP, no stats from jobs, and what a sad sad day it is when the best thing going for it is a Level Potion from Sea Cow.

Hmm another thought has crossed my mind about our battle challengers for this year. I keep thinking about what the Mage had said when Slaglord was released. More Elemental challengers will be on their way. So that got me thinking... When we had the research notes and if you unlocked everyone you got Mad Scientist (and then Mutant Scientist) or you bought the cabinet from the CS.

What if they do that for this year? You buy all the elemental challengers and later on have a chance to unlock.............. The Mage. Ha-ha that would be kinda cool and would totally make sense right?

I've contemplated FA -- how much use do you get out of it? Just the blue ball?

- Yeah, we already tossed that idea around, of unlocking the Mage as a challenger. I'd be pretty happy to toss him around for a bit :P

- GL beating Prodigy with Domon! I dunno why, but I just thought that the frostbite amulet blocked ice.

I have one and I use it against Sandragon with my second pet since he cannot use M-Weapon. I love the chance to chain freeze with it. It's good for pets who need a good water blocker who are of lower tier (but at least tier 8)

It may not seem like much but this was his first official BQ day and I think he did pretty well. He can take on everyone up to the Hustler. (That guy is so annoying takes too long to try and get a win. So I let my 3rd battler take him on and Wyrmgear. The rest under those guys pet 4 gets.

Familiar showed up once and so did Prodigy. Everyone got to battle today!

I've been using the Pirate Cutlass at half the price, but it doesn't freeze or do quite as much damage. Does FA take the freezer slot? (I'm too lazy to look it up -- sorry.)

Nope it doesn't take the freezer slot. Which is awesome so you can use your Helm to get your own anti-freeze blessing up and stop freeze happy brats. If you're lucky lol.

One last stupid question -- in your opinion, do you think I should get it and push back the amount I'm saving for a Pbow? I don't have the funds yet, and this would set me back a month (assuming I keep my GA and keep training) so… I'm on the fence.
