We got magma for the coldest month of the year, seems like fire would be fitting for another winter month. Or they could play to the Groundhog Day theme and go with light or dark as a reference to shadows. Maybe a prelude to the Pandemic with death? Is there even going to be a Pandemic this year?

There hasn't been a real Pandemic since I joined, but maybe our next challenger could play into that somehow? If not, just give what he wants, he's a nice guy. I don't really care what the challenger is -- only that there IS another one coming. (And we know that there is, so I'm good.)

Hopefully by the time we get the ice guy, we get a new ice blocker. We seem to be REALLY lacking in that department compared to other icon types.

Statistics. I SO had you pegged for geek. I haven't figured the odds yet, but I'm guessing you're now a long shot -- maybe even 40:1. The silver lining is that my chances for geek of the year are looking better.

I honestly thought we had a good ice blocker.... but looking around seems no. We got the Magma Godly... maybe these new challengers could offer an Ice Godly or even a Demi-Godly weapon.

Personally I'm amazed they didn't have the /Ice King/ drop such a weapon.

Ice King does drop Ice King gloves, but those only have a 1/3 chance of blocking 75 ice and they don't have quite the best heal, despite taking up the healer slot. They also only have two mod slots. Strangely enough, every weapon with a consistent ice block of 75 or more is tier 11. The defense revamp really made Ice King a lot harder.

Yes you're so right. Well here's hoping with these monthly challengers the BAs have changed that. Only thing I can see being a bit of an annoyance is the Ice challenger being freeze happy... but then again it's to be expected.

Lmao, we shall see. I'm in part II of my Psych Research and Design class, so does the grade I earn at the end of the semester count for anything in the 'geek of the year'? :P

Not only freeze happy, but also have a blessing that is guaranteed to activate so that you can't freeze them (at least it's true for Ice King and Unstable Snow Fairy).

And several other challengers (but those tend to not have ice as their main or even part of their icon sets) Well it's nice to think about at least, gives us all time to plan and prepare. Who knows we may not even get ice at all. (it could be like Meatslab in the end a 3 tiered challenger) Waiting is hard.

As for competition, your old, now defunct, thread had some other possible contenders. We'll have to wait and see if any of them toss their hat into the ring. (And if they do, did they calculate the trajectory beforehand? That would certainly be an edge!)
