Just to chime in with the opinion of another user-- I like that weapons don&;t have to be released par say? Like the only one that comes back every year is the MW and a set number of Cores/ME, and those two are vastly cheaper than the rest for that reason-- two years ago the MW was selling for 350m and it&;s a freakin&; tier 12 godly xD (ie: re-releasage isn&;t that wonderful).

Anyways, I like that with weapons the item itself doesn&;t matter as much as what it does. So instead of re-releasing a thing someone had no chance of getting originally, and giving everyone and their mother a copy of (see: large gutting knife, that I couldn&;t even win originally, this last time I got 3 or 4 copies), a new one that serves that needed purpose can be created instead. Like instead of slaughtering the price of Blackmoons Staff, the Cronus Blade was born? I like that about weapons, and (god/demi-god)scrolls even x:

That is so well said.... I totally agree.

I really like that reasoning :). But I wonder why then, do plushies/beanbags/books all seem to not have that same policy. I think it could be argued that the top book/plushie/beanbag collectors also want their collections to hold value, even if they can't be liquidated. I think most people would be rather upset if they spent 300m on a plushie that then had 50 more copies released and plummeted to 25m, which does happen. But even more likely is that no one is willing to pay what the actual value of the item would be, if there wasn't a fear of re-release. Too many people have the mentality "Oh I won't pay 150m for that because I KNOW it's going to plummet eventually even though there's only 1 available outside of collections on the entire site right now," and it's because it almost always happens.

back on topic:

My desire to test out the twisted keeper focus as a useful wep to a tier 9 is slowly draining my bank account :( I have big plans for this weapon :D

Hmm, my defense is above my strength but I still don't know how I feel about this weapon. Just going to sell it I think.

That being said, the Focus is BADASS YO and I am excited for some of my T7s to reach T9 and be able to use it because it looks so cool.

It makes sense to replace one godly with ultimately a new one (Cronus Blade > BM Staff). It doesn't end up tarnishing the oldest, experienced battlers' hardwork through re-releasing the weapon, and newbies don't have to worry about getting the old godlies, instead they can focus on working towards the newer ones.

And in regards to how weapons will be changing format (again) over time...I like the idea. I've got 4 other pets slowly in the works to join Elfric on the battlefield, and being able to customize their builds w/o hindrance from weapons would be really nice.

However, I still think it's important for newbies to train evenly, until reaching a designated tier (like t5 or t6), where they can then decide whichever build they'd like to specialize in + a list of weapons that would satisfy those builds.

Does this mean current weapons are bound to be re-statted or slightly altered in the future to reflect this eventual change?

I don't foresee a restatting or custom coding being given to older weapons. It'll only happen to new weapons as we release them.

I'm glad that old weapons won't be messed with for now. Though if that did ever happen I'd really like to see EVERYTHING get nerfed down somewhat. Weapons are a bit OP and because of that opponents are OP which is fairly balanced right now, but if there was ever 2P pvp added we would most certainly have to come up with our own rules (most likely including having to use like T3-4 weps >.<) to make sure the fights didn't end up in ties everytime because both players 2-3 hit each other. Basically I really want pvp and I'd love if it was able to be fairly competitive one way or another, but if it was competitive using high tier weapons, that'd be most fun, IMO.
