He's kind of a hippie who kinda took a fancy to my MC. He could convince her to have the courage to get some non-evasive answers from the supporting MCs... Ooo or he could totally get her high! I'm beginning to wonder what I've gotten myself into, starting so late in November... I've gotten about 508 words so far today but my anxiety is building as the final days approach. On a more positive note, I figured two more titles but had no such luck with my character names... I'm gonna keep trudging away on the detail work until I don't feel like it any more but, honestly, I'm not expecting much progress.

[edit] Decided to type up some random bits of inspiration and moved further along than I expected. I am still hoping to get some serious work done on my projects but I may just have to let my mind roam.

My inner editor has to have one of two things: the correct word or the closest comparison in parenthesis... Normally I'd go back and change it as soon as I got the chance but I've been trying not to do that as I scramble towards the 50,000 word count... At this point, I am pretty sure 30k of it will be mostly or completely useless, but hopefully I'll get the 50% off Scrivener discount and 20k of information that I can put towards my writing for the rest of the year. -nods-

For someone who wasn't going for the 50k to start out, you're doing incredibly well. Today's par is 35k - that's only ~13k above where you are, and you started... when? Working on concept work instead of chapters? You, my friend, are a powerhouse :)

- Yeah, it's a looming lurking wall... and ORAS comes out today. Urg! Not good for productivity! My scenes keep end up being too long... it's great for Nano, but it's gonna suck when it comes to scripting it for comic pages!

Yeah, as soon as the new WoW xpac dropped mid-month it's been an awful struggle to not play as soon as I get home in the evening. It's been an amazing xpac o Still waiting on the updated blood elf character models (because every other race has been updated to Pretty Mode, but for some reason they're holding out on the blood elves and I stg it's just to make us shallow people angry) but the gameplay and new plot has been great.

Oh nooo.... that reminds me that Persona Q comes out on Tuesday. I'm going to die T_T

They feel threatened by our determination to write 50k words in a month so they throw everything at us that they can as possible distractions.

Thank you so much for your support! It means a lot and it had helped me to keep going. If I was to end this month with even 10k of useful info (it is more like 20k already) then I would feel like a winner. -nods- Speaking of winning, today I threw another 10k of random stuff at it -if there is anything useful in there I'd be very much surprised- like I was doing last night. I am a lot closer to where I need to be to finish on time and that helps my stress level a lot. I was starting to get pretty anxious. I haven't decided what I am going to do to work on my word count tomorrow but I think I'll be more productive about it than I have been these past few days, watching the time tick away.

I was poking around at my story while at work today, just kinda trying to look ahead to where I'll be going with it soon, but my mind decided it would be "helpful" instead - by giving me ideas for modern/real world AU fanfiction of my own work -_-;; Really, brain?? REALLY? It's going to be hard enough writing tonight since I feel like I've been run through a wood chipper :(

Brains are fickle things... They'll play nice for a while but eventually they just go "Nope. Not interested. How about doing this instead?"... And you can't hardly force them back into focus. They just give you the cold shoulder completely then.

I've had some kind of stomach bug for the past two weeks. (Fortunately it wasn't too bad and I only really had symptoms soon after I woke up and did okay for the rest of the day.) Pretty sure you couldn't have caught it from me but it may be making its rounds all over the country.
