Oh wow. Yeah tons of people get hurt here from fireworks. It's even a common trope on our medical TV shows (fiction ones) because it's such a given on the holidays. So glad you're going to have a nationwide ban, that sounds fantastic!

I got back from mom's a few hours ago. I decided not to go to the party so was able to leave earlyish today.

Before I had even eaten breakfast three different people had mentioned to me the...yeah...that happened in Venezuela. So that was an interesting way to start my day xD

well the ban in my city did not work as loads of fireworks went off. So lets see what the nation wide ban does this year.

We have snow! And lots of it, been years we had so much snow. Train, plane and busses are not going and they are telling us only go out when you need to. I don't as i am 2 days off. I however did do a nice walk in the park here so pretty with all the snow

SO...... How was everyone's Christmas and New Years?? My entire house apart from my hubby were sick from a few days before Christmas til now...... Some of us (ME) are still trying to get over everything that we got. I feel like I got a little of everything from everyone who lives here. Brad was diagnosed with the Flu. Katie and Kimmie had sore throats and regular chest cold type things with aches along. ME I had everything..... Sinus infect, chest cold, flu symptoms, U name it I had it.... and now I had to go back to the Dr's and they needed to give me meds to treat the things that the other meds cause issues as a side effect from. If that makes sense. Anyways..... the only good thing id I havent really been able to smoke cause of my chest cold, so im hoping that will get me to just stop completely. Since I have been trying to for a long time and I really dont have much interest in it anymore. Its more a hobby or habit that I go outside to have a smoke. Its a change of scenery when im crocheting or watching tv or chores etc.... Its my "break time" and I dunno how to give myself a different break time that doesnt involve smoking. I also snoke in my car while driving and that is the hardest for me to break...... So if anyone has any tips/tricks please let me know... Im all ears. Cause chewing gum, candies, or anything like that doesnt work. Hubby has his own dirty ideas but thy dont work or he isnt here enough lmao. He is listening to me read what im typing and telling me bad things as his tips and tricks lol.... Anyways.....I thought about those things I see people promote on tiktok. Its a rubber thing that has a stick of flavor in it that u replace but its just like a natural flavor thing. Its supposed to help with the hand to mouth similair to smoking. But I dunno what id be inhaling. I kow Cigs r bad but It kills over a long time. These vaps kill a lot faster then everyone thought so they r out. So I worry about these new things cause we dont know til we start hearing the bad from them..... Ugh... Anyways... If any of u have any thoughts lemme know :-)

I'm glad the holidays are over. For New Year's I was at my moms and we're old so not much. We watched the final two episodes of Stranger Things. At midnight Brian and I just said we loved each other. I had to wake him up at midnight as he had fallen asleep xD

Christmas day was nice but I kept having mental breakdowns.

I have a random question... What do you do with the various stat boosters you get around the site (things like the Shinwa items, the tomes, and the eggs?) Do you save them or use them right away? I havwe a lot of them cluttering up my vault and was wondering what everyone else did with them. :D

- I quit cold turkey 16 years ago. I put down the pack and walked away. Now, I used to keep pretzel sticks around for the kids to snack on and found myself using those to break the hand/mouth issue. They worked very well and I only gained about 5lbs from it. I counted that as a win. :) Good luck! :D - Sometimes I feel basd about charging so much but people still buy them. Even after I tell them to hit me up next month for a buddy gold. They forget about the buddy gold and continue to buy the medals. XD

- I can understand why your vet doesn't want to drug him but sometimes it's necessary. Likwe in extreme instances of fireworks going off. If they're illegal in your city, where are the people getting them? XD

- Glad you made it through the holidays in one piece. The place wouldn't be the same without you. :) I'm off to read! :D

Subetalodge is extremely useful.

Pictures would be useful for things that didn't make it into the final draft but I still want to show off. Such as Jash laying on the couch in the summer in Alex's apartment. That scene will never make it into the trilogy.

The boosters do all different things, but they all affect the stats I think. I just use them on my battle pet and it says what they affected and how much. They are small changes, but they do add up. I tend to use them when I get a bunch of them, like for Lumi. :)

I am so sorry all of you were (are) sick at all, but esp over Christmas. That is just awful. Another friend and her family just kept passing all variants around and around. They would get over it in stages and then have a relapse from the next pass. Sounds like you and your family did the same.

The pretzel stick idea is a good one from Duckie. Other friends tried suckers, even sugar free, but gained weight. They were eating a lot more, with the hand to mouth thing. I quit after 33 years of smoking by having kidney failure. I was so sick before that I didn't smoke, then by the time I got out of the hospital I didn't want to. I didn't even notice the nicotine withdrawal just added to the sick. I don't recommend this procedure, however. The cons are far worse than the pros... lol Every blue moon I would get stressed and ask Rox for a puff, and it really cured me from wanting any more for months. I would cough and hack and quickly hand it back. I really don't want any and I didn't even right after I quit. Sometimes seeing someone else smoke, like on TV or whatever, will sometimes give me a twinge, but that's it. It's been nearly nine years and I just think its nasty, as well as a complete waste of money. I won't let Rox smoke in my car or my house at all. She goes outside. She can smoke in hers of course, but she's considerate and doesn't around me or my son if we happen to be there.

I'm sorry you have panic attacks. They are never fun! I used to have them at Christmas because we would have so many relatives every year that it was seriously crowded in our house. But as my family has dwindled down in number over time, and esp the last couple of years, it doesn't manifest any more. I really wish the reason behind the panic was still present, but oh well. As someone wise once said, 'if wishes were fishes, we'd all cast nets...' (Oh, just looked it up. It's an old adage, but Frank Herbert gets the credit for it. He said it in Dune. Cool.)

And how do they get fireworks even if it;s illigal to set them off... well buy them in cities who don't have a ban and other ways i don't know off. My vet just did not want to give anything... and i can't call another vet as they will say contact your own.

Well we have snow! We haven't had snow in years and we have lots of snow. And the whole public transport is on the fritz, no busses, trains and airplanes. I had a nice winter walk in nature yesterday, got home safe and last weekend from work as snow was falling then. But i slipped and fell yesterday in the shop, twisted big time my ancle and well my foot is twice it size. Called work staying home and told them i can do some computer work, updating files, etc. Once i get approved for that i can start doing stuff as now i can't get into the files.

To add the list of wardrobe items, its on 'Edit Profile' on the dropdown under the Personal tab on your homepage. At least on Legacy. Not sure on Kumos. There is a little pencil top left where your HA is that means edit. Click that and I think there are options that include adding the list. I LOVE having the list. It tells you what they are wearing. Sometimes you really have to do detective work to figure out which item it is you're interested in, but at least you have a list to start with. lol Esp on HA's like mine where there are many items.

Well the whole coutry has been shut down due the snow. No train, plane or busses and the news is saying stay home. But the snow is very pretty. My ankle is still sore and still bigger then my other foot. I can walk a bit more on it

When it snows like that here, it is pretty much the same. But often we have ice first, so that's underneath the snow. We aren't used to weather like that either and the whole metroplex shuts down. There are still some people out there that are idiots and race around on purpose and slide causing crashes. I saw a couple of people one year get out in the intersection and took turns doing donuts. It was ridiculous. I try to stay home unless I just have to get out, but I think it's so pretty too and I love it. <3

it's 4 posts above this one. My poor ankle, all last weekend i am carefull with the snow and ice and then on my day off i tumble.

We haven't had snow in 8 years and it fell big time, everything was out of order by the snow. But it's so pretty in nature and when nothing is there but snow. But dangerous when get trough. We are getting rain tomorrow so bye bye snow and the weekend will be very old and then more rain. So the snow is over for now.

And those idiots we have here to, some people....

- Well, we got some of your rain here today. Everything's been damp and it makes everything ache. But, it's still in the 50f during the day and drops to about 35f at night so no snow or ice. Just cold rain. :/
