We're not there yet. Everything is still green and still hardly any rain. There's so many fires around here we're all hoping for rain soon. Not in any danger where I'm at but the smoke is pretty bad.

- I've loved Robert Jordan since the beginning of time. I fell in love with Sanderson after reading his ending to the Wheel of Time Series. Now, I have had some contenders as I've read my way through the fantasy genre but none have ever come close to Robert Jordan. ❤

- That's it, we have to move! Where do you want to live? Minnesota is about half way for each of us. 😂 😆

well I had two in my armory and one in a pet treasure chest so I had enough extras to put one in my wardrobe and sent you one too :D

if favorite means since younger years and still loved, I think my favorite fantasy authors are Diana Wynne Jones and Patricia McKillip, as those are the two I loved as a child & still love today. Maybe I found Jones at age 10 or 11, and McKillip a couple of years later.

Also the only one I would categorize as "since the beginning of time" is L Frank Baum (Wizard of Oz series) because I read those very young, it was probably the very first fantasy series I read in my life, in .. second grade I think? I was seven :D

- I don't think I've read any of those. I found books in y late teens and started with Stephen King and Anne McCaffrey. :D

ah yes those two. I started with McCaffrey a bit younger maybe 12 or 13 with the Menolly fire lizard books and by the end of my undergraduate years read everything she had written by that time (mostly didn't read what she wrote later for whatever reason). As for King, I didn't read his books because horror wasn't my thing but eventually I did and liked his style, and have been intermittently checking out his work ever since (so I read a lot of it in the mid 1990s and then a lot of what he'd written since then about 20 years later in 2013-2016 and then maybe a book here and there since then).

- my first was the Dragon Riders of Pern series. I didn't realize that she had older stuff out. I'll have to look into thst. I religiously read every King book thatI could find until the mid 90s because that's when he started writing Duty books. I didn't get back into him until last year when you recommended a book to me. It, and it's successors were great. :D

! - How about New Orleans? No snow and great food! Plus, the art scene is wonderful. :D
