Hot Topic used to be really fun but now I'm too old for everything. LOL!!

- NObody gets too old for Hot Topic. Last time I went they had Nightmare Before Christmas and Dr. Who stuff. One never outgrows that. :D

Jacob Fatu - he's a WWE wrestler. For Liz's birthday she wanted a tee and if you bought 2 the 2nd one was half price so I was able to justify it.🤣

- Liz likes WWE? I haven't watched that since I was 12 and realized it was all fake. Taalk about heartnbreak. 😂

No she hates WWE! I'm the goof that likes it. Lol Two years ago I stupidly thought I would force myself to watch it for a minute and I accidently got sucked in. I know it's all kayfabe aka fake. We watched it as kids with our dad so maybe that's part of it and I'm still shocked I like it. Is your son cooking up Thanksgiving food for everyone? I'm just cooking the basics for us.

hope you're not looking forward to wrecking multiple cars lol - and happy Thanksgiving. I'm getting close to the end of Alien Clay. Still really enjoying it. I think possibly I will at least somewhat like nearly everything by the author, and he's very prolific.

I'm just making the basics for Thanksgiving too, chicken and mashed potatoes and biscuits and pie and veggies of some kind, it's pretty basic anyway. More fancy than a usual dinner that I just do one or two things for, but not really any extra-ness. and yes the Taco Tavern Double was fantastic, especially it went well with being wrapped in lettuce so I could properly enjoy a burger despite not being able to eat bread, I still miss it

- Well, we all have our guilty pleasures. ;) Yes, he is except this year we are having ham instead of turkey. Hubby found what was left of a honey made ham in the freezer so we've decided to eat that instead. We're still having all the fixings such as stuffing (I must have stuffing), green bean casserole, and candied yams. Then we're having pumpkin pie with whipped cream for dessert. It'll be lovely. :D

- I figure it'll be a regular smash-em up derby. 😆 I'm glad you're making progress with it. I'm slowly going through ""IT." It's making me think about when I read it the first time and if I had actually understood all the connotations it contains. I suspect I didn't because I was very, very sheltered growing up. If my adoptive mother knew what I was reading I probably would have been banned from all books (except school books) forever. o.O

Liz was happy and even liked the turkey. I almost bought a chicken too but I was at Trader Joe's and an employee told me about the half of a turkey. It's still a lot for 3 people but at least it's yummy. And I was shocked that Liz also liked my from scratch cranberry sauce. I put stevia, canned crushed pineapple and some ginger in it. It's rough not being able to eat bread! I think I told you that sourdough doesn't bother me too much but still I'm careful about eating it.

Ham is good too! And stuffing (I call it stuffing too even though it wasn't in a turkey) is Liz's absolute favorite too! I made a huge batch so she'll be eating it for a few days. I stayed on my normal diet but on Saturday I'll be indulging in everything. I did take a tiny bite of everything though. LOL!

- Oh, I wouldn't let that happen. I would have rebelled a lot sooner then I did because books were my escape and you don't take away an abused child's escape without expecting some kind of backlash. ;)

- I hear you about remaining on your diet whiule everyone else is chowing down. I tried tostay on mine but still ended up in a food coma at the end of it all. My son knows how big my portions should be of certain foods and I think he went a little overboard with them yesterday. It didn't hurt anything, my a1c won't go up because of it, so I had a little fun. Now, I'mj looking forward to Christmas. >:) I'm happy that Liz enjoyedd the feast. Perhaps she's branching out now? My son decided to branch out only agfter a serious conversation about why we're having ham instead of turkey this year. I swear, it took me 2 hours to get him onboard with the ham. XD

(sorry, mjy keyboard is messed up. Hubby has tried to fix it to no avail. XD ) You're very welcome. I'm glad you had a good one. Mine was very peaceful and quiet. It was just mje, hubby, and our youngest son. I did get totalk to all the other kids, too, which was nice. Would have been better to see themj but I understand they have other plans. :D

I'm so full! I just made up for my abstinence on t-day! lol The stuffing aka dressing was so good! I made it from a mix and only added browned onions and celery and then baked it. And the turkey half was pre-brined and seasoned and from Trader Joe's and was really yummy too. (Not sure if they have Trader Joe's where you're at as they're California based.) Liz does really good these days but I still can't get her to try avocado but that's ok as then there's more for me. 🤣 And I'm glad your a1c was ok after your feast!

So I did a thing with the cranberry sauce today and used the leftovers for fruit leather. There was about a cup and a half left and I put it in the blender with a single serving size container of apple sauce and then dehydrated it in my dehydrator. It only took about 3.5 hours and came out really tasty! :-) It was even Liz approved! lol

As cranberry sauce it had a little bit too much ginger but as fruit leather it's perfect! I love your HA! Very uplifting!

- I couldn't get mjy son to try avocadoes for the longest time. When he finally gave in and tried a little it turned out that he loves it. He loves it deep fried. So much for the halthiness of it. 😂 MJaybe one day Liz will suprise you and start eating avocado? :D

- It is mjaking typing difficult as it's spread to other keys. Like my z key is always stuck now. I'm going to get a new keyboard soon, I hope. :D

I'm sort of cool with her not wanting to eat them as it's more for me! LOL!

- in that case, I'll keep my fingers crossed that she doesn't suddenly start liking them. ;) 😂
