hmm I wasn't going to post since I know this feature is a WIP and I'm ok with cheaper stuff but today's items were strange... 8/23 items were flowers with 6 being dupes of each other, the other items look pretty organic, so I guess Melody added the flowers?

3 people participated including me. I don't have any flowers on my WL so it's kinda weird there were 3x of some of them. Even if both of the other users had all those flowers on their WLs... someone would be missing out because I was given 2 of the same one haha

Yesterday I received all wishlist items, but it was 3 of one item and 2 of the other two items. Today I got 3 of two of the items and 1 of the other. They were all wishlist items, but were a lot of duplicates. Yesterday in the Other Pool Items only one of the items I got showed there while today none of the items I received showed in that area. I'm assuming that the items shown in that area are items the others contributed while items I received must have been from Melody since they weren't there.

I did see a lot of duplicates in the pool today, but I didn't get any duplicates myself. And yesterday's duplicates were things that I needed two of anyway so that wasn't necessarily a bad thing just this once for me.

I am enjoying watching MM evolve as the month goes on and I'm excited to see more of the bugs get ironed out because the ideas that are being adjusted into it are better and better, even if Melody is still figuring things out.

Personally, I have had good experiences thus far since these changes.

I do think the WL peek should maybe me modified more, where the price range might go from even 150k to 2mil or something like that (for those who want to use it) so there is more viewable items rotating. I also think the items should rotate way more frequently. This would likely eliminate most all user duplicates.

I do think melody is causing many of the duplicates herself. If it's easier, maybe Melody could be pulled from the WL to prevent duplicates since the peek is already available to users to gift WL items.

I would really like if the messages could be more personal though, per my previous comment, and I think most people would likely agree with having more personal chat options and ways to communicate. I also like the idea someone posted about saying I like books, etc.

I also want to commend Keith for putting in so much continued work toward this project to try to make it enjoyable for everyone. What I have learned is that this project old or new is just not going to please everyone, regardless.

I hope we can all be grateful for whatever we receive and understand that there is a real person behind many of those gifts in the pool.

I also disagree with the private WL complaints, unless it's primarily due to receiving multiple items. It's not that serious. I have more than one private WL and I'm not going to complain if I receive an item or two off them. Even if I don't particularly want the item, it's not much different from receiving a random item I wouldn't use. It's trivial to me.

I also think seeing the pool it either needs to rotate more quickyl or give more options. I saw like 4 copys of a holiday item in the pool (I did not get one)

or (that's what I will probably do tomorrow) wait until at least one roation is though. Today I and two others (and Melody) already donated and it's still the forst set of things So I'd wager a guess there will again be multipkes of things in there.

It's fine for me as I said yesterday I buy an item for each other and then throw in two items that I think people can use (CSC, CW, Morty card, sub invites, Token) something along that way that I wold always be happy to get

for me it seems the fairest to get a WL item each and then add something useful to the pool. (for either selling or using)

It's weird I haven't gotten a single wl item since this thing started the wishlist thing and I'd imagine that's what people would buy others since I've been just solely doing that 😂 not that it matters I don't really care I just find it slightly odd why that's not most people's go to 😂 like no one else in the group is buying that but someone buys like 5 items and it's the same item five times and that's happened at least a handful off times. Last time around there was two different items that both were there 4/5 times, just a single item. Now unless it's the same person I'm getting grouped up with I'm curious why people are doing that.

Despite getting multiple WL items through Melody, I've been able to gift these through the search feature for WLs. 'Tis the season for giving :)

so i figure that Subeautique Invitations are going to be a pretty common item put into the exchange but i thought the script was able to tell what you put in so as to not give your items back to you, however I received two invites for the One I put in. NBD but when I received back a WL item that I purchased for someone else back also Im puzzled.

either way this has been a mostly successful endeavour and much thanks and kudos to those working on the system.

Got 5 items. 1 WL book from another user, 2 other users' WL Plushies as shown in WL peek, which Melody must have thrown in, because she had only added plushies and stickers (berfore anybody else had thrown anything in), plus 2 cheap holiday shop items.

Others got 3 times the same Plushie And 5 times the same sticker, in 2 different colours, though.

And for the 4th time event "You've just unlocked four new reactions, check them out here." (which I had previously deleted both on Subeta and Kumos.

Checked MM received this morning (post reset) and I see that I got a returned 'item' and that none of the 7 items that I supposedly got in return were in my inventory UNTIL I reupped for MM again. Was definitely able to re-up for a new group for today.

A second thing

Interesting outcome this time. I got a spread similar to pre-WL peek (seven items, ranging in price from Very Cheap to Very Very Expensive) with one WL item (an 'Expensive' minion).

Then I check the pool. I see a Ragdoll (x3 of the same), Book A (x2 copies) and Book B (x3 copies) and all three of these are on my wishlist. I got none of these. Is there a chance of an overlap for these? Of course. But for the algorithm to instead then push all of the dupes (assumedly, based on the past couple days) on to one person when there are then at least two people with these wishlisted? Doesn't feel like it's working as intended.

Just thought I’d post a bit about my experience thus far since the wishlist peek was rolled out. I’ll be honest, I was initially worried about the possibility of a lot of the same items or items that are on wishlists that are more lists of things to be aware of (and therefore hidden). Also thought the items I was going to give would’ve been just as welcomed or more. Still, fun to try new things and no matter the price point I think anyone enjoys getting an item checked off their wishlist.

December 20 group was great! I got wishlist items but it seems three items had duplicates for those gifts the other MMs and one triplet of a holiday dress. December 21 group I received one wishlist item and for some reason the pool was filled with flowers and wizard tokens. Besides the items I received and gave all other items were duplicated. There were four of one flower which is even more shocking since one person in the group did not contribute. December 22 group I received duplicates of two items but they were both wearable and edible so that worked out. It seems three other items also had duplicates. I can’t even believe it’s the 23rd already. It seems getting one item for each off their peek and then adding in other items I planned to give anyway is a good system to go by.

Since the wishlist peek, the item pools for me have been cheaper with loads of dupes of holiday items. Dunno, but I preferred the variety pre-wishlist peek. I like the messages, but I agree with others that they're not really personal. I get wanting to stay anon though so it must be hard to strike a balance with message options.

haha, i got only vesnali flowers today. all my 7 items out of 8 added XD i guess its fair because they ARE on my wishlist... been enjoying this so far but heres what ive noticed with the wishlist change melody recently seems to be immediately buying her 8 items at the start, could be connected to the flower spam? though today i thiiiink she bought some wearables for my group, so ill try to spot if anything changed when this one ends saw three items on my wishlist (excluding that 8th flower) in other pool items, which could be due to overlapping wishlists but im noting it anyways. and two of the items i bought were also bought by other people, so im probably going to go back to buying random stuff or at least waiting for it to refresh a couple times.

Zero WL items in the pool today for me Got 2 items back that were not duplicated in the pool.

And got all 3 of one item in the pool

Strange day

all the items i got were on my wl... but i had 3x dupe and 2x dupe haha, so 4 in actuality.

ive definitely noticed the decrease in price range, though. ive been buying things around the 200-500k range still, just like i was before, because everyone else was doing that too. but since the wl peek was added, way more things in the pool are less than 100k now, with multiples of things that are less than 10k! nothing in the pool today matched how much i spent, which is so weird when people consistently spent that much previously??

i do hope it's not too hard to iron out the wrinkles for this!! thanks for all your hard work keith 💙

That is exactly how I do it as well. If all 3 others are active, I buy them 1 wishlisted item each, and 2 extra useful items. If I see by the end of the day that only 2 people contributed, I only buy them 1 wishlist item each, and add 3 useful items.

5 WL items, 1 repeat item (unfortunately this time around it was only a food item so no double dipping on it like last time being an edible minion) and the 'extra' item was an incredibly expensive random shirt that i didn't own. So all around not terrible.

I have a hidden section in my wishlist for things that I am personally working towards so people don't gift me those things by accident. Last night I received an item that was in the hidden wishlist. Now I don't know if maybe it was just random chance, or maybe someone else in the MM group just happened to have that item in their wishlist too, but it's made me wary about joining MM for now. Not sure if this could be looked into but I just want to be sure that hidden wishlists stay hidden, even for MM
