For those that don't wander into the subeta discord, there is a problem with the coding. Something that didn't change when other changes were made, so Keith needs to fix.

Even if you chose a new strain, it was giving out older ones. It seems like he reset our avatars (I don't see last years virus on my HA anymore) but he still has to fix it so we can actually get the new ones. There was no eta. Keith said soon. lol whatever that means. I'll miss it, I gotta get to work.

Edit: And 10 minutes after I post, it's up and working fingers crossed

I completely relate. I am on vacation, which is lovely but is also going past at an unbelievable clip, and I was so busy leading up to this trip that I have work I need to take care of that has been stressing me out the whole time we've been here. It's SO hard to get balance with my job, because scheduling and timing can vary so much from one month to the next. I think when I log off Subeta I'll make myself buckle down and get the emails sent. That way I won't stress about them tomorrow. Gosh, I need a full second week here just to remember how to actually take a vacation. It's been so quick and while it's been lovely I'm far from ready to go home.

Lots of talk about cold temps for many / all of us! Thanks to this trip, I've finally seen real snow for the first time in my life! It wasn't much, but it was enough to count and was lovely to see.

Looks like lots of folks popping back in after taking long and short breaks from the site, or just quiet seasons of life. It seems like Dec - Feb was a taxing time for many of us. It can be an overwhelming season on all fronts, plus ongoing political unrest in many places around the globe and other factors - I know I've been in a pretty overwhelmed / apathetic depressive state for a while now. Finally starting to feel like a person again, though I'm still struggling. But I feel like I'm at least "awake" again, which is a step.

I hope everyone is feeling better from the various ailments and general challenges going on internally and externally!

I think there are ways to block certain images - so for those who don't care for the zombies that may be a solution.

I've been poking in and out, but have felt too ... much, to chat. Hope to feel better soon and keep up with everyone.

I'm so sorry I left you out. :( Glad you got your vacation, but too bad you can't stay longer and really enjoy it. It seemed with most of mine through the years that they flashed by and because of other things I needed to do (like you said) I was either too busy or stressed so I didn't get to enjoy the first week at all. When I took two weeks together it was a lot better, but I really never had enough money (does anyone?) to do things I wanted. :)

For some reason I didn't think you had a job. I thought you were retired or disabled in some way. If you don't mind, what kind of job do you have?

Wait, I don't know what you left me out from lol. But it's okay whatever it was! Thank you. I sucked it up and got my more pressing work emails / invoices done today so my mind will be free of them tomorrow! It's been a nice time for sure, and much needed. But you hit the nail on the head, needed to book two weeks to get the same oomph we got from a one week back in the day! Maybe next time :)

Definitely got mom’s cold. Coughing and likely fever but I never know because my temp doesn’t go above 99 no matter how sick I get even with confirmed viruses. Genetics weird trait.

So I have two viruses going mwahaha Just did the random new virus and got the cave thing.

nowadays work and rl is busy and more and more stuff comes to us. Work wants us todo more in the time you are there and even when you are off they find you. I find it hard when i am off when work calls/texts me.

The darn flu that is going around is no fun.

But i am getting bored so that is a good sign i am feeling better.

I forgot how fun survival is! There are so many great contests going on in the threads :o I've put my university / Python knowledge to good use today - to save me updating a contest post after every kiss... I made a tally program so I can just click that and update the kiss count :'D Not sure what this says as me as a person, but.. XD

I'm a uni student (software design/website development) so put those skills to good use with Python coding! It was surprisingly easy to make a tally counter - easier than I thought it would be! <3 I hope you're feeling better soon, being sick with cold/flu/anything like that is the absolute worst ;-;

I need to work out how exactly I go about saving the file as a program and sharing - I'm not sure anyone else would get use out of it, but it's been very helpful for subeta contest use!

I'm glad to hear you're doing better! Hope you're drinking lots and keeping hydrated! I find honey and lemon juice made with boiling water is fantastic for kicking a cold, also really helps if you end up with the annoying tickly cough or anything!

So a little series of updates that I've been saving to post this all at once :)

It turns out the people just came over one day and we didn't need to spend all that effort to get the study bathroom clean. It's good that everything isn't there anymore BUT it would have been better to clean it more slowly. Brian was emotionally and physically tired by the strain of a supposed deadline.

The fic I'm working on was supposed to be one fic long but turned into a series. Because plot bunnies were holding me hostage. I was going to wait longer to outline Part 3 so as to get the most recent Remedy and Elder Scrolls lore as I could. Especially as it would concern the second war the Thalmor (think Elf Nazis) are going to wage. But as I came up with a title, the plot bunnies had their way with me. HERE is a link to the series on A03. Only Part 1 is currently out.

That meant I put a hold on editing the latest Kafka's Men book. Again.

Just had surgery yesterday and ay, today has been pain. I already can't wait for recovery to be done. I am actually somewhat comfortable right now though, which has been a rarity so now I don't want to move so I don't ruin it.

On the bright side, my friend ordered me food and my other friend got me some groceries and one of my favorite drinks. o3o

Still trying to figure out what strain I want to go for. Watching the virus progression threads to see what they all look like first.
