Would love to have these functions:
For all the pets that have finished training in the training center, just need to click one button to take them all out and show a list of all the stats gained so we no longer need to click "Done" for every single pet.
Instead of clicking "Train" for each pet, we just need to select the pets + stats to be trained and click one button to put them all in training.
are any of what op has written possible with coding?
Added the complete all to the op! Great addition!
lolol I feel you. There seems to be a lot going on atm so I'm hoping more pet-centric stuff is on the horizon. We'll see!
Welcome!
EDIT// This can be ignored, I realised I was being an idiot :')
Circling back on reading as it continues to be one of the biggest QOL issues for us pet people x.x
Is it possible on Kumos (I figure that's easier than legacy to try something new lol) for there to be some way to offer a "scheduled reading" type option that's similar to auto-training in the gym? The way I envision what I'm asking for is a page (maybe a "reading room" that you access via the library?) where you pay to read x # of selected books from your inventory to x pet over the next 24hrs.
While making it a GA / Sub perk would likely incentivize folks to get those, it's such a QOL thing that putting it behind an IRL paywall seems mean. So I was thinking it could be like autotraining, 25 CSC + X sP to use.
Not sure what the limit should be. I mean, realistically for it to be worth it I would think at least 25 books? weigh in here :D
For real though, please tell me there's something that can be done regarding reading :')
Some kind of auto-reading feature would be a massive QOL improvement and it would be one of my favorite things ever. Reading is absolutely tedious with all its repetitive clicking, and it's really frustrating that to read multiple copies of a single book to multiple pets, you have to reload your inventory between pets every time. It just feels like it takes forever to do much reading because of all the clicking and reloading. I'm not sure if there's a way to make mass-reading or auto-reading doable (I imagine it might be more complicated due to the fact that pets can only read a book once?) but it'd be so, so amazing if it was possible.
I also very very strongly +1 the idea mentioned earlier about more ways to reduce hunger. Even if we could just use the Cleansing Pool's appetite renewal more than once a day, I'd be stoked. It's hard to remember to regularly feed my gourmand pet and there are over 11,000 food items on site now, so aiming for higher achievements just seems... very daunting... I'd love to be able to work on this a little more on days where I have more time, and not have so many times where I grab a bunch of food items and then have to sit with them in my inventory while I wait for my pet to be hungry again, paranoid about accidentally putting them in my shop and selling them lol.

OMG I SOOOO agree with this! Please do this or something like it! Reading is an absolute chore and I do it often and have over the years with over 100 pets at a time that rotated as I adopted out and in over the last 13 years.
Oof Fauna lovely you organized this post amazingly and so detailed. Ok so! These are what caught my eye and it's my first response:
MASS / AUTO READ OPTION
-I like to give my pets jobs that have some relation to the character .///. Goofy maybe but I like the detail. For instance Half-Pint was a scientists anciently transformed into a squid working at Asmodeus Laboratory so I have their job as “part time test subject” there. Reading my pets up to some of the jobs is … well I’m working on Working Title becoming a journalist. 0-0;; I spent a good chunk of this morning just doing the repetitive click -> scroll-> read to pet-> select pet-> back to inventory. Scroll repeat.
Hey I know you’re reading your pets even more books than me. Do you have any thoughts on the number Faune was thinking?
TREASURE CHESTS
Ability to remove historical win and win again for a specific pet (lots of parameters to this, all discussed here)
-I recently adopted a couple of pets out to two different people who do amazing things with their pet profiles. The pets in question already won the spotlight with me and I know they’ll be redone from the ground up to work with the names given. New concept, new character new everything. It’s kind of a bummer that I know they can’t win the spotlight with whatever they’ll do with them tbh. If they’re doing the from the ground up work to make as spotlight ready pet I just kind of want them to have the chance if so inclined.
Increased types of jobs (ideas here)
-I did mention I assign jobs with correlation to there character of the pet. Variety is always welcome!
Also! Seconding (amazing HA btw)
They/ThemTREASURE CHESTS
ECHO. As I sit here and go through my pets' TCs, I need to be able to mass remove items I changed my mind on. xD
and we need more job variety again. I have a bear who loves fishing and a lion who would love to help out at the Training Center, if Jim is hiring.

I don't know what you posted but lol, been there!
tysm for the input and support! I know reading is something that impacts you a lot too and not having a gourmand pet I never thought about the challenges faced with no way to increase hunger x.x I wonder if there's a way for you to select the pet first, then the reading room will pull up what books are in your inventory and those that your pet has already read will be not selectable. I think if you select the pet first it wouldn't be horrible on the servers to pull up the info.
tysm for the support! omg the number of hours you've spent reading to pets over the years @.@
tysm for the input and support! I gotta keep things organized for my own sanity and in hopes that it makes it easier for staff! That's my primary reason too! I have a goal to have all my pets reach the top tier of their job (95% of them are on the gentech track). Just getting 75 pets to level 1 is 1,875 books x.x
Mass remove would change the world I swear lol
I've adopted pets who previously won and literally am shaping them from scratch, so I would love to be able to win. There are other things related to the spotlight that I feel are much more important and impact more people, but this would still be nice.
tysm for the input and support. omg some of the TCs I have seen / have would be a NIGHTMARE to remove each item one at a time. Clicking and reloading the page 300 times for no reason. @.@
THANK YOU SO MUCH for adding more voices to the conversation!
I have to come back and read all of these additional inputs and edit this message with my own input, but honestly - I've been sick with a sinus infection since early December, and the comment I left was just... Me not thinking correctly :'D I read it back on a later date and cringed myself silly xD
these are my biggest things!! not that the others AREN'T important to me, but these are the ones that personally affect me the most.
tc mass remove + allowing pets to play with toys when happiness full would be a GODSEND bc removing tcs bigger than like 10 items is a pain and i've had to forfeit tons of major drills quests bc he wanted me to play with a pet and all my pets were full happiness/in the resort
more jobs/job tiers would be INSANELY fun, both for flavor and, as people say, theming their pets!
and finally... pet spotlight. i'm in agreement that it ABSOLUTELY needs a revamp and more love/incentives. i'd love to see it go back to its previous frequency because once a week is just not enough tbh. i've had pets in the queues for over a year at this point (and i had more but most of them were when i was inactive and were denied bc of that :') ), and it's just frustrating to put time and work and possibly csc/irl money in the case of overlays into pets and then they just sit in the queue and go unnoticed.
banner by I'm not sure how the subscription perk could work, but I do like the idea of some kind of spotlight perk there, whether it's a review in a specific time, or a slightly higher chance of your pet being picked.
Can I also add in - increase the frequency of the spotlight seeing as it was more frequent than just once a week before.... I would've thought by now we would have enough pets in the queue to add in at least a second spotlight winner each week? After all, if the spotlight is only once a week, there's such a low chance of your pet being picked, it might actually be decreasing the number of people bothering to get their pets spotlight-eligible. I've certainly tailed off on working on my pets since the spotlight frequency decreased (I have 29 spotlight winners), as it feels like it's taken some of the fun & anticipation of 'will my pet be picked' away when it only happens once a week :(
I think I'd already commented on the spotlight historical wins being able to be removed on the other thread, but yep I'm in favour overall for that :)
I think there definitely needs to be something to encourage more people to be interested in the pet spotlight
And again, one button when all those pets have finished training (ok, I know some pets are on longer training sessions than others, but all the ones who have finished at that particular point), as again that saves a lot of extra page loads / time.
I do actually like the idea of being able to use the battle EXP from one pet to buy increased stats for other pets (I've got some pets that I'm happy with their current stats, but that would actually encourage me to battle with them so I could use that EXP on the pet I'm wanting to train!)
And yeah other ways of building intelligence would be great (and would also encourage me to play games too :P)
I don't see why pets can't play with toys if they're already full on happiness - I mean as youngsters, we still played with toys when we were 100% happy, right?
I like the idea of a paid option for the pet to forget it'd read books / eaten food (whether that was able to be a "100% forget" option, or if it would be a certain number of items) - that would also help when adopting a pet from someone else, and wanting to either only read certain themes of books, or feed certain categories of food to suit their new character.
I love the idea of a stat increase as a prize from some games, and again that would get me playing the games more often too :D
And I'm not an artist either, but I do like the idea of the poll to see which are the most popular 'missing' colour / species combinations, especially for those where one artist covers several different species

Thanks for the pings. I agree with the proposed quality-of-life improvements in the first post, but having started a new gourmand from scratch, I'd love to see a similar feature to the proposed auto-reader. I have a gallery full of food to be eaten, if there was a "pantry" we could stock our food into, and the pet would automatically eat from it when their hunger drops, that would be grand. ;)
And speaking of that "- Have a way to reduce hunger - special items, "pay (sp or very low level of CSC) to cleanse" option, or some kind of triggerable buff that keeps hunger at 0 for a set amount of time." You can already do this at the bathhouse cleansing room! 250k for an appetite renewal. And the Malerias Clawed Glove also can curse your pets to be hungry when used in battle. But I won't complain if there was more options.
So there seems to be a lot of lag and strain when visiting your pets overview page. https://subeta.net/pets.php It's loading so much info from all your pets. Unfortunately... This is the only place I can see my new gourmand's hunger level. I'd love to not have to load this page!
Ok, you know the dropdown when you hover on personal, then hover on pets? Then it says your pet's name and underneath "Pet - Profile"? When you click on pet and go to their individual options area, I would love if their info from the pets overview page would also be on that page. There are times when I'd like to see certain info about one pet, ONE- not all of them!!! The amount of times a day I have to strain to load the pets overview page while battling with the Malerias Clawed Glove to see if my pet's hunger went down yet. 🥲 Imagine if it was isolated somewhere else...
And finally, there's something I've been thinking about for a while, based on Keith's desire for the "homestead" feature (now scrapped I think?) and him mentioning that pets themselves don't take up much server space, but their actions do.
Since the "tag feature" on Kumos seems to be one of the points of interest (tagging items, tagging threads), I was thinking something like that could be used for pets, on the personal end only.
So what I mean is, you'd have tags like "Reader" "Eater" "Player" "Battler" & not sure what else, but you'd assign these tags to your own pets, and only those pets would show up in relevant areas. Only read to 3 pets? Now only those 3 pets will show up in the list. Not sure if it'll help a ton, but the pets who don't get these tags would have that feature of them "hibernating" like the homestead idea. So while I've read books to all my pets, most are only for their jobs and I don't plan to read more to them. They can have their knowledge hibernating for all I care lol.
I know there are people who do actions with all their pets, but I imagine most don't (? maybe?). I feel that something like this would help the site on the backend, and help users on the front end. Imagine having 100 pets and 1 gourmand. Instead of searching through the list, you can have only that pet show up on the food items.
I don't know how feasible it is to implement or if it's worth doing, but I thought I'd finally throw it out there!
From what I talked about with Keith re: mass reading, that an array function could potentially work. Where it recognizes the book item IDs in your inventory, collects each one into an array and then you select the pet to read them too. The only thing is that it has to detect and make sure your pet hasn’t already read a book in the array. Which, it probably run that check while it starts reading the books
The main thing is he wanted to know if there was enough interest in such a feature and how often it would be used by people

-will return to respond to all these amazing comments but stopping by just for now to say-
I have over 17k books to read to pets and this number will never really hit zero. I would use this EVERY DAY and, if the option exists, for multiple pets each day. I would buy CSC with IRL funds when possible to use this. Like, for real. And I hope there is enough current "pet people" - between battling and general pet development folks - that it's worth the site investing in. I think if this and the spotlight are addressed there would be MORE pet people, so this could gain even more use that way.
I'm always here for more pet related anything, especially quality of life upgrades!
1a. Treasure Chests. Hands down the only reason I can't let subeta go and keeps me coming back. As someone who has more than a few rather large (300+ items) TCs, and has decided to relocate the items to a different ID for one reason or another, I can absolutely one billion percent confirm a bulk removal of items would be a blessing.
Equally, having the remove option be a separate page (similar to the mass add page?) opposed to how it is now would be fantastic. I really can't count the number of times I've been organizing items only to accidentally the X and thus not only removed the item but lost my organization progress.
1b. Bonus Treasure Chests
This probably wouldn't appeal to the masses but I'ma toss it out anyway because maybe I'm not alone with my nonsense... multiple treasure chests per pet.
Sounds ridiculous but many times I have a set of items relevant to the actual character and a set of items relevant to a theme (ex: a cat hoarder who also does tech stuff). Right now I can organize set A then put set B but there's no visual break between the two which kind of annoys me. I could try and fiddle with code to add a margin below x items but I actively add/remove items and it would be a mess to keep up with.
I imagine it might be useful for inserting X set of items relevant toa specific part of a profile; like these items are relevant to this part of the story or the tabbed profiles specifically come to mind.
So while mass reading would be really cool, what I'd really love is if the unread books included the option to at least sort lowest userprice to highest userprice.
I think, if doable, that'd be great for foods eaten as well. Which, segue!
An sP sink means of forgetting foods eaten, definitely could see it being added to the bathhouse? Maybe cost is dependent on the number being removed (like a specific food is X, all is Y, so on). I think if the items aren't returned, I mean they're forgotten aren't they, then it shouldn't disrupt the economy and it's not like we can get the same achievement twice?
I usually just hide this with code but I still know it's there and it doesn't vibe with the character on the ID and if I could just make those foods go away I'd be thrilled.
