It's infinite use now. I'll add that to my post :)

Got it, thank you again for the testing!:) But I still think that 37 AP is way too much for an infinite scroll like this The strength of the para only costs 21 and it attacks more on the mid-tier while it heals more on the upper tier So I wonder if Purge is gonna change some of the old scrolls too?

There's the Maniacal Slappy Hand. It's more obtainable for a T11 earth blocking weapon.

The Strength of the Para is a new scroll! Not an old one for Shinwas sakes! No touch! No give Purge stupid ideas! :P

But I agree 37 AP is quite a lot of AP compared to what you get with other infinite scrolls.

Para scrolls are a lot harder to win than Rouland's scroll. And Para don't get reset once a year for a holiday. People with large pet armies can flood the market in not much time from holiday loot but Para should stay less common. Guessing at why AP is cheaper for one than the other .

Thanks you for making Shinwas Quill infinite use again. Any chance it can go to Tier 8? That's about when it got out shined before the revamp.

Oh that's true:P But the hand itself is not a pure earth blocker so I guess it doesn't count?:P It might be better to have at least 90 earth blocked like the OHS does against some of the tough earth hitter Also, it is a bit unobtainable now considering the fact that you need the hand and the core to get one when compared to OHS

I'm guessing that the Maniacal Slappy Hand will probably be bumped up to at least 100 earth block. The healing cap, who knows? Anyone who missed past jelly wars will have to wait until the next one after the reset likely.

(And back to the revamped weapons topic.)

I mentioned in previous post that the Blackmoons War Plate revamp is underwhelming. There's still not enough defense. Is there any way for more shields to get some major improvements so they are worth considering? (This also applies to Chancellors War Shield and Mirroring Shield of Brilliance, and others shields I might not mentioned)

There's the Flayed Lord Breastplate at T6. Its average defense icons is better than 15 from the Warplate. It also boosts defense each turn. There's also the Item Defenders Shield at T8. It blocks 14 each, and have 5 mod slots. Or greatly increase the heal for the Warplate, and reclassify it as healer?

Some ideas are that the shields either:

  1. Sparse use and blocks a lot of attack or heals a decent amount, possibly giving the pet a chance to recover.
  2. Repeated use but still can do some damage (like the Charged Tower Shield)
  3. Repeated use and boost stats more than other types of weapons, so you don't fully lose out half your attack for using this shield, and you try to keep up with your opponent who is also boosting and healing as they go.

Thank you for changing the Shinwas Quill so it can be used with the Shinwas HeartPendant again. Is there any chance of it getting its other two mod slots again because two were taken away leaving it with one?

That's a good idea, although I think the Warplate will need to block more than that. Min defense of 30 each or more. It might need to be scaled to 40 or 50.

The MSoB and CWS already defends 2 x 125 = 250 icons and that's just for T7. (BTW, Subetalodge needs to be updated. Those stats are really old, the MSoB and CWS longer blocks all) If the Warplate has 25 x 9 = 225 icons, it is all spread out and chances are its defense is never fully utitlised.

Another thing is that opponents have strong weapon disabling curses now, and can do it often. For example, if your pet is low on hp and has a weapon disabled, and the shield's has good defense stats, then it might be worth using in that case. Of course there's also the scroll option, but those take a lot of AP.

Wasn't the old heal cap bad enough? Why lower it even more? Why are T12 and T13 no longer allowed to heal? I don't get it...

Eternal still only has 1 Mod Slot, while the others have 2 or 3 ! ?

Look way back to the initial announcement. Defense kind of sucked before. The middle tiers were especially bad - you basically had to rely entirely on defense mods and healing to beat an opponent or wait until your pet grew bigger, which isn’t very fun. He’s improving the defenses on weapons so we can be less reliant on healing.

The only downside I’ve seen so far is that more diverse armories are probably going to become a necessity. Instead of having a random healer or two to get through every tier, you’ll need a dedicated physical blocker, a dark blocker, a fire blocker, etc. But most of us are already used to this for the impossible opponents.

T12 and T13 are still allowed to heal, they’ll just have a lower heal cap than before. Again, their defenses are being raised to make up for it. For example, if we look at Malhuili, it scaled from 30/30 defense in T9 to 50/50 defense in T13. Now it scales from 45/45 defense in T9 to 80/80 defense in T13. It’s a big increase.

I suggest playing around with the revamped weapons before getting worried. It’s not as bad as you may think. And if anything is actually a struggle, has said he’s willing to modify the opponents afterward. I know change can be hard, but I firmly believe everything will work out okay <3

That's part of what I was thinking. I have to spend forever and a day to search high and low to find the right weapons, when the big ones could mostly mow through the majority with a so-so set. I'm an idiot and can never remember, what which weapon does (esp. scaling and CC ones). I know, strategizing should be part of the fun, yet sadly I for the most part don't have that kind of time (that's why I never really get to fight the intimidating army of challengers we have in the BC by now, not for a single reset, rofl), but still want to earn the loot and quickly farm for the smaller pets.

I believe, if we have capped pets, we have worked hard for many years to get them and that should finally (continue to) pay off. I've been there, when Duliaz was juuuust not strong enough and not well enough equipped to get the 10th win and earn those big weapons, that I'm still after, even though we tried many hours up to the last minute of the event.

It is a lot to remember! I’m trying to make a weapon guide with this spreadsheet, but I don’t know if everyone will be interested in having one in that format.

I’ve always been kind of hesitant to give people exact weapon advice for opponents because 1. not everyone owns the same things or has the same budget and 2. like you said, I believe strategizing is part of the fun of battling :P It’s difficult to find a compromise between helping too little and too much. But hopefully the spreadsheet will help a bit? It’s helped me find things more quickly for the smaller pets anyway.

I’m not entirely sure what the point of the lower healing caps is, but has been battling far longer than me and I trust his experience :P If he thinks this is the right move, then we just have to trust the process. If something does happen to go horribly wrong, I know he’ll do his best to fix it. But I think he really just wants to make things more standardized and balanced.

Yeah, thanks, I've followed your link to your spreadsheet before.

I have a HUGE ages old word document with most of the challengers, copies from other people's strategy helps on the forums, my own used weapons then and now, etc.

Plus, as stated before, your challenger guide of course is a priceless and exceptional help and speeds things up.

I also agree on this, in addition with my own take. It gets repetitive with every pet having similar builds, and having reduced viabillity for other builds isn't as enjoyable. It's like you only can choose warrior, or every betamon has similar builds and moves. With the old heal cap in place, there's already tradeoffs for different builds. Also it's already not practical doing highly unbalanced builds for every pet.

The defense improvement for the weapons is beneficial. But the scaling need lookup (before the percent heal was easy to calculate how it scales), and any weapons that didn't scale enough quickly loses its usefulness. Also the lowered heal caps instead of a reduced percentage heal is pulling pets towards similar builds.

Maybe there could be a cap raise in the future? I heard suggestions of a trainers cap. (5000 level x 4 stat types x 2.5 stats per level = 50k stats) Also, why would stats be capped if intel has no limitations?
