hello and welcome.

So, I have been silent. Just living my life with nothing to say because feeling meh and exhausted. Went to see Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 by the local Shakespeare company. If you have a chance to see it do so. It was awesome. Been crocheting and drawing and seeing my nieces and nephews and sister and while being chronically ill. Too much but I want to do things.

That's awesome. :) One of my favorite things to do when I'm having a bad day is to watch funny bird videos on youtube hahaha. Something about a parakeet whistling the chorus to September over and over again resonates with my ADHD brain.

- It's good that you're learning what to do around them. I don't want you or them to get hurt. :) Have you asked the breeder for tips on how to assimilate her? :D

Hi all! My AC went out in the main part of the house and my roomie/best friend Rox had heat exhaustion. Almost a heat stroke. Even with two fans going it just sucked the life out of you walking in there. But many grateful thanks to my parents, who bought me a new and bigger window unit, and to my son, who installed it. It was seriously a life saving thing. It's been over a hundred every day for a long time, and it was nearly that in there too. Luckily my window units in my office and bedroom worked tho, so me and the cats were ok. Rox stayed with friends for the most part. (She sleeps on the couch. Long story don't ask.) Anyway, it's great now. So nice!

My knee is almost completely healed from surgery. So glad! Tho of course I'll always have trouble with it. Going to have the left done sometime in December, hopefully the early part. Don't want it to be too close to Christmas.

I'm doing well! Today's my Friday and I'm looking forward to 3 straight days of sleeping in. 😂 How are you?

lol yes got tips but i am going to wing it and well introduce her slowly. And with the alpaca's it's good for me for the first few times i am paired up with someone to know the lay of the land, etc.

Night shift here, my favorite shift (not!). These where mine in the first place but swapped them for another shift with a co-worker. She got sick and due vacation time there are not many people who do nights. So i said i will do them... pfff... tired, did not sleep well and i want to go to bed..

hiya! Nice to meet you, i am Leonie, living in the Netherlands and cat mom off almost 3 cats. Meez (tabby) & Mooz (tuxedo), boys (half as they are neutered are european short hairs and 3 years old. And Dua, girl, (birtish shorthair) is 2 months old but coming to live with me and the boys next month.

Birds are adorable like that :)

Having birds helps me have something to focus on when I'm feeling really depressed.

- Having a mentor is a good way to learn. Much better than reading a book and hoping you're doing things correctly. :) I grew up around cats and chickens. Sometimes the kittens would stalk the chickens. It was funny to watch. The kittens never caused anything worse than a few ruffled feathers and the older cats knew the chickens were their animal friends and didn't bother them. But every once in a while seeing a couple of kittens pounce on a chicken and the chicken squack and fly away put a smile on my face. :D

- Long weekends are so nice! :) I'm doing ok. Just waiting on my groceries to be deliveree. :D

Thanks! I am way beyond that now. I am at 92! I only have 8 more to go to reach my goal of 100 Spotlight wins. Holy crap! I am so excited to be this close but I also want to hold my breath because I don't want to jinx it somehow... lol

It's nice to meet you! Oh man tuxedo cats are the BEST. My cat Binny is a tuxedo and he's full of personality.

I'm getting ready to head to the pottery studio again for more market prep. I was there yesterday and threw mugs for almost 6 hours, my butt hurts from sitting on the little plastic IKEA stools for so long. 😭

lol those poor chickens! I hope the alpaca's, etc don't do that to the chickens lol!

I'd like to but there's no way I'd win since I would need someone else's help with the profile and I don't know if that's allowed. Which pet did you enter? :D

Thank you! OMG I'm so close. I think I might try and give away some of the pets that I can part with, get a lot lower in number, and take it easy for a while. I say that but I'm not sure I would do it. lol I still want to get inspired and make profiles and maybe win more if it happens. I do it for fun and because I enjoy it. My pets and dressing my HA are really the main things for me on this site. I wonder if anyone else has ever had 100 wins? I know Shantal had 50 wins. That was her goal and she gave away several pets then. I can't remember if I got any. It's been a long time.

Anyway, was exactly right. You can get anyone you want to help you with any part of a pet's profile, or user profile, and as long as they are credited it is absolutely permitted. There are several amazing coders out there that offer free profiles that you can edit. One is Lea, another is Fallen Samurai. And there are many that make beautiful profiles specifically for a certain pet for a cost. You also have to be careful using images and graphics. You have to use a free site, like Pixabay or have the artist's permission, and post it in the credits. Many people can recolor a pet to make it unique. I love dalice and Necolasa for this. I've had some success doing it myself, but it really varies. Or you can get original art for an overlay, of course. Hound and Maximoff have done gorgeous art for me lately. Hound is working on a cute pony unicorn for me right now. :) Prices for this range widely, or some will trade WL items. Then you submit it to Subeta for 500 csc and if they approve it, it will be your official overlay.

I would be glad to help with portions of a profile, but I can't do a full one. I mostly use pieced together code from various people that I have paid for, esp Ringo, and most of them absolutely deny their permission for using their code for anyone else. They aren't being paid for their work and I understand that.

Anyway, a lot of work goes into profiles. I've literally spent thousands - maybe tens of thousands - of hours over the years, not to mention sP and csc with quite a bit of blood sweat and tears thrown in. But I love it I have to say. So be ready. You are warned! lol

Most of the delight for me is seeing them. Mixing the colors and textures of images and fonts and layering everything together. I have to ask, and I DO NOT mean any offense... But because you are blind it will be really hard to put together images for profiles. How can you do it? Unless of course you have it made and tell them the mood and colors and your son or whoever describes it to you? That would still be awesome.

idid enter and got denied as my story was not good enough... pfff I got no pics on the profile just the normal layout. I do have a story.. And is right if you get help give credits.

Summer is back here, after 3 weeks of cold and rain it's warm and sunny now

- I didn't realize any of that. Chrysariel, it is impossible for you to offend me, my friend. :) You have hit on the biggest issue I think I have with using someone else to create images/layouts/etc. I simply can't see it so I will never really know what it looks like, no matter who describes it to me. :) I would just have to trust. Do you know if there is someone out there that would code/create the whole thing for me so all I'd have to do is copy and paste the code into the correct spot and, viola`, instant profile? I used to code profiles myself but I'm not sure I could do it now as I wouldn't be able to see if, say, something overlapped and and needed to be moved a few pixels over, I wouldn't know. lol How much do you charge, Chrysariel, for your images/backgrounds? You know I've been toying with this idea for a while but am unsure if I actually want to do it. I have a feeling you'll continue on after hitting 100. :D

-I read the lore on Draugen's page. I found it really interesting. :D I'm glad some summer has returned for the last couple weeks of August although I'm soooooo ready for autumn. ;)
