waves Our hot weather has taken off for other parts for a bit. Turned out to be a specific benefit to us as our ac stopped working Saturday night into Sunday, but the humidity had gone down and our overnight low last night was in the 50s so we could still sleep. If it had been a day or two sooner it would have been so hot and sticky. It's fixed now but we'll not run it at night probably almost the week as our lows will be in the 50s until the weekend when everything gets summer hot again.

will change it into a storm Zento and after that we will see not sure yet what next. Oh how nice your son got his dream car and you his old car. You now can drive away when you want and not depend on other. I know the feeling i don't have a car or a license so i depend on others to, not fun most of the time.

-waves back- Oh no the AC broke down, i hope it was not to hot. Glad it's fixed. We don't have AC's here in home, we can but have to buy them ourselfs. Darn things are pricey, so i have a fan. Summers are getting hotter and hotter though.

Yesterday was dry and a bit cloudy. My local kiddy farm called asking where i was as i was on the sheldue... eurm no next week.. Mix up on theire end, anyway i was home from work and i went and helped out with the alpaca's. I was suppose to get worked (new volunteer) in and get all the info next week but got an early start yesterday. Cleaned theire pen, fresh water, food and a little cuddle (they are young and still a bit scared).

Volunteering with the alpacas sounds like such fun!

Thankfully the ac broke when the heat and humidity was gone for a bit. Would have been difficult otherwise. High temps back to summer for the holiday weekend this weekend. Highs in the 90s. So looking forward to autumn. I hope we get some autumn and not just an extended summer right into winter.

Monthly weigh in was this morning. I decided when I started to try not to weigh myself too often as I want to focus more on how I feel than anything else. It's still one helpful bit of information though. I'm down another 10 lbs and just 2 lbs from having lost 50 lbs altogether. I literally cried. I couldn't believe it. I was expecting maybe another 4 or so pounds, not 10. happy dance

Congrats on the weight loss! That's amazing. <3 I've gained 10 pounds and really want to lose it and more if possible. :)

Thank you ❤ I got on and off the scale a couple times to make sure I wasn't seeing things. lol I was super shocked and I'm very happy. I knew that as this month progressed I felt like I could do more. Like more stairs, faster and often without holding on all the time, which I couldn't do really before. When I started I always had to hold on to the railing. Not progressed to exercises to help with my back and leg yet but I have added a nearly daily short treadmill walk. We are thinking of rejoining the zoo so I can walk there once the temperatures turn autumnal. Our membership was up back in winter and we didn't renew.

Dua (new cat) is coming this tuesday around 11 am! Tomorrow my alpaca trainig starts at the family farm. Today evening shift and the weather is very nice and a little heatwave is coming halfway this week. Can't wear shorts or skirts i have so many bruises on my legs.. what the heck did i do?

I'm here. Mom has been having vision issues so we had to make an unscheduled visit to her eye dr and now she needs to see another specialist. Like so many medical things we have to wait until the end of the month before that appointment. She's managing but she's worried it could be worse than he said it was. Waiting sucks. And yesterday it was announced that Jimmy Buffett died and I've been very sad since. I didn't start listening to him until college but his music became a big part of my traveling life. Every long car drive had JB playing. And his reruns of his concerts on youtube helped get me through the first year of covid. And he died similarly to my dad which hit me extra hard.

Sounds like a busy week for you. Hope you can share a pic or two of Dua once y'all are settled. We've got a heatwave now. Going to be all week but should hopefully be over by the start of next week.

We are having rain. My depression was way up as my meds were getting changed, but they might be better now. Not sure yet. Book club today. Going to get the ks games switched over today or tomorrow.

I'm sorry you have to wait for an apt. Esp with her eye. Oww. I have another MRI coming up. This time on my left shoulder. It's been hurting for months. I hope they find what is wrong. The xray was so clean I was shocked. No arthritis! How did I manage that? But of course that doesn't show soft tissue, so we'll see.

Well, its hard to write anything and hard to talk too. I am depressed and heartbroken. My mother was put on hospice today. She is in good spirits and eating some and keeping it down, and can go slowly from the dining table to the bathroom and her bedroom. So that's all wonderful. But she has liver cancer and according to her labs and ultrasound, her liver and kidneys are failing. Because the liver is so big it is blocking off its own in and out put and backing up fluids up into other organs, including the heart. Its also pressing into everything causing displacement. My father is doing pretty well with his bladder cancer, no bad signs, so that is great. But he also has prostate cancer and even if it isn't aggressive, it is still relentless. He is also having all the ordinary but also scary symptoms of old age. He's 95. But we are all afraid that when my mother passes he will decline fast and follow soon after.

So very sorry about your mom. hugs I feel like you're not wrong about your dad. It happens often especially with couples who have been together for a long long time. Hold them tight and enjoy every second, every conversation. hugs Cancer can fuck right off.

My 1st day with the alpaca's went good. Was nice to be outside, taking care of animals and just enjoying it all. Dua comes tomorrow a bit nervous.. still scared the breeder won't show up with her.. Being silly...

Dua is here! Loads of hissing from both side and giving both cuddles when i am alone with the boys or Dua. Made a room for her so the boys can't hurt her when i am asleep or not there as she is so tiny! And when the boys need space i can pu her in there. I hope they become friends soon
