So it's been a hellish few weeks.

Here are the highlights:

My parakeet Ghost has been really sick. At first we thought that she was egg bound but now we find out it's this thing in her that's filling up with liquids and managed to get it drained a few days ago. Now we have to give her medications twice a day (and she's doing her best to tear our fingers apart). But the meds don't seem to fully be working (which we were warned of) and so we'll have to take her back to the vet again.

This year I'm just too stressed to get into the Christmas mood. No, I haven't slept well for weeks.

OMG! I'm so sorry about your back. That's horrible. Are you better now?

- Yes, it's still a bit touchy when I move wrong but it's much, much better now. You know, I have a bunch of things I could have done to pass the time that I was laid up but all I could think about was getting back to Subeta. Interesting how things work out like that. :) How have you been? :D

Been a semi dry day here after all the rain from the last weeks.. Some spots here are flooding.. watchfull eye and hoping it won't get worse. SO far i am good. My local farm where i voulenteer has high waters, we moved the animals to dry spots but not much left.

XD Isn't your whole country mainly claimed land? I mean, you have the dikes to keep the sea out so, I didn't think you had any high ground. Shows how much I know. XD

most of our land is below sea level. And as almost each city is near a river we have changes of flooding when there is so much water. We haven't had so much rain in years, been raining almost 2 weeks non stop and from the alps the water is comming to in our rivers so more water... So far we are good but water levels are extremely high and everyone is on high alert

Thank you everyone for the gifts. Late merry Christmas. Too much family over Christmas and I got burn out. Sigh. We did get snow but not too deep and the roads are good.

- Oh my! That's got to be scary. Get a boator make an exit routine that will get you and the kitties to safety. I don't want you to float away. :) I talked to my biological dad on the phone for the first time yesterday. The conversation went well and I'm really glad I did it. It was nice finally hearing his voice. :D
