Thank you all for the birthday wishes for mom. We had a very nice day. Dinner was really good and she seemed to mostly like her gifts. lol She's generally pretty good at pretending but I know her fairly well.

Went to bug day at the botanical gardens. Touched bugs and watched my niece do crafts and learn stuff. Exhausted.

[edit] &lurkers! monday, starting nightshift tonight for 2 nights. Tonight i will be alone instead of 2, i made protest, etc but nothing helped... Been sleeping bad since i knew, nervous and not feeling to well. I wish it was tuesday 7 am and my shift is done...

thanks! And ofcourse i had a super busy night... always when you are alone... Ofcourse i could not sleep when i went to bed around 8am... people busy with a high pressure sprayer, construction workers and day noise. Woke up every hour and gave up at 11:30am.. and i already was awake for 24 hours as i slept crap the day before. Not getting any more sleep now.. wide awake. Hope to catch up on some sleep when my nights are over tomorrow at 7am...

Vidar- That would be very scary, to be sure. On 9/11 I was in Somerset, Pennsylvania,just waking up, when I felt the impact of the impact of Flight 93. We had no idea what had happened and, being out in the middle of nowhere, no one around us had a clue either. Until we turned on the tv. :))

Yesterday i was in bed around 8pm, i no longer could stay awake.. Today doing well.. so far just 8:34 am...

Oh sweetie nice to see you here, think of your health and don't stay up to long. LOL she was an intruder in there home... still a bit but doing great. Left her and the boys in the whole house while i was asleep for the 1st time. She did great, woke me up once. Now the next step is to leave her with the boys while i am away.. Going to my parents this afternoon for a little while... maybe going to try or not..

Dua sounds so cute! I'm glad she the boys are getting used to each other. :)

My knee is much better. I went for an MRI on my shoulder and got the results today. Half torn and thickened rotator cuff, degenerative stuff, a lot of arthritis... Ugh. I have to try therapy for awhile, and some of that did not sound pleasant. The regular range of motion I expected, but electrode needles??? I've had tests done with things like that and one was horrible (but that doctor was trying to hurt me, the bastard) and another was really uncomfortable and painful in spots, but was over quickly. Something about acupuncture, and ultrasound blasts. Anyway, if that doesn't help the pain and help the body repair itself, I will need surgery. So maybe it will help. I hope so but am cynical and a bit scared. After all this I go back to see my doctor for the rt knee I had surgery on, and he just added the shoulder to the same appt. So we will talk then about surgery on the left knee and possible surgery on my shoulder. Gah I might have to choose which I want to do first. My knee is doing pretty well but we will see.

- I'm so glad to be back to my usual shenanigans. I promise I won't tire myself out. :) I hate being sick. It is not only debilitating, sometimes it can be downright humiliating. It was so much easier to deal with when I was on the other side of the "bedpan." ;) Dua sounds like she is quickly becoming one of the family. Makes me want a kitten. How are the alpacas doing? Visited them lately?:D

- sleep can be such a slippery subject. It never seems to happen when you feel you need it the most. :D

- I'm so glad you're doing better. :) As far as the tests, you're talking about 2 distinctive tests. One is to test the nerve damage in the area and the other sounds like a proceedure I had done on my back. It's called radial nerve ablation( I think) and is used to test nerves in a certain area in order to make it easeier to oblate them with a focused electrical pulse that is guided by acupuncture needles to the effected area. I had amazing results from it when it was done on my back. It allowed me to stand for more than 5 minutes at a time. If they want to do that to help relieve some of the shoulder pain, I'd go for it as it helped me cut back on the pain killers and gave me a bit of my life back. I wish you luck for your doc appt, that it goes well. :D

Dua is doing great! Left then yesterday and today alone in the house with my boys and came to to peaceful cats. I so glad they are all doing fine. Dua likes Mooz (black and white cat) the best. He was the first to see her and they love each other’s company. I find them snuggled up together loads. Meez is warming up to her..

I just saw my alpaca boys this morning. We had neighbour day here, people do activities for their neighbors to join, like my local farm. Sadly hardly any showed up but good for me as I was able to pet and feed the boys. And had a cup of tea with the rest of the volunteers.

- now, that's a conversation I'd love to see! 😂 I'm doing well, now. Only dragging a little. Went to bed early last night and was up early this morning. I think the last of it is out of my system. That's wonderful, that the oys have taken to her so well and quickly. When I had cats, I had to be careful to introduce a kitten to them as some would have been less than happy to see it. Sometimes I even had to hide a litter so the male cats wouldn't find it. :( I'm glad you got extra time with the alpacas. If your neighbors don't want to see them, their loss!

Thank you! I have two foster brother cats that have been here nearly 9 years (Started out 3 days and kept getting extended. Oh well. lol) and when my tuxedo Domino (given to me by two little girls... who were crying and said pleeeeease... how do I say no to that?) was a kitten, they all loved each other. The bubbas always slept curled around each other, and Domino would just dive in and they made room. Both of them loved her to pieces. But when she got older (and so did they) they would start to hiss a bit and didn't want her around. But by then they didn't sleep together much either. I still find them together in a pile sometimes tho. :)

I'm so glad you are feeling better! That's awesome. I'm not sure they were talking about ablation (used to destroy tissue). He said to energize the tissue to grow. But thank you for explaining. I'm so glad those procedures worked for you. He might be talking about the same thing but used for different results. IDK I just want it painless and helpful. Found out yesterday my father has the same problem as I do and will be going thru much the same therapy with his shoulder. I hope it works for both of us. :)
