A picture I found on google of Aswan, Egypt. 💙
I'm sorry this is not an award winning photo, however, I wanted to share a picture of the "city deer" who allow us to cut their grass. They are lying 1.22 meters from our deck. They're very artistic. Last summer they trimmed our last burning bush into the shape of a strawberry. 😆

I took this (unedited) photo of my sister off of lake Michigan last month. I thought the fog coming off the lake in the morning was absolutely stunning. The freighter looks like it's sailing on clouds.

Happy unbirthday!
I love watching storms. They make me feel excited and at peace all at once. We've had a lot lately.

Nature! Oh how I love it! SO many things qualify.....today however, I am totally indecisive, so will share a few of my recent pics portraying the CRAP weather we are having here at the moment:
A cool one, showing the ice over the crick near one of the barns.

Another showing one of the cars flipping the bird to the weather....using the weather to do it! LOL

And the final one is a pic of last Summer's corn - with a few water droplets just hangin' out on the husk.

For nature I just want to post this cute bear chasing a balloon 🐻💕

I'm grateful to live in a city that is so filled with flora and fauna. Sometimes I take it for granted, especially when I'm annoyed with the deer and rabbits - it's really hard to keep them out of gardens. Deer can jump pretty much any fence. But my life has been shaped by the terrain around me. Even though I am not an outdoorsy person at all, it's an unavoidable reality that I have spent so many childhood hours 4x4ing in the mountains, hiking, fishing, camping, picking berries, playing with clay in river banks, pretending to be adventurers in lush forests and building structures out of branches and leaves, finding sand dollars and other treasures on the beach. I went to the prairies a few times as a kid and it was downright eerie for me. Beautiful in its own right, of course, but I had never seen flat land stretching to the horizon on every side, and it made me feel strangely vulnerable. I have a particularly distinct memory of my father taking me 4x4ing, and near the top of the mountain, holding me out so I could touch the top of a veeery tall evergreen. Promising not to tell mom, of course.

Happy Unbirthday!!
Here's a pic I took this past fall of a cardinal outside my back door :)

I would love to take a stroll through cherry blossom trees one day!
Nature
Technically I live in a city but I consider it the country. In my backyard I've seen a couple of fox, possum, rabbits, a white skunk with a black stripe, a chayote, deer, wild turkey, turkey vultures, and many species of birds. Don't even get me started on all the insects I've seen! In the summer the crickets sing really loudly at night and it lulls me to sleep.
I find it really peaceful where I live. :)

One of my goals in life is to witness this breathtaking scenery in person ✨
