I dunno. I might get some "end of year" treats from the kids/parents, but not too much most likely :) Nope I do not go to games, not to mention elementary schools do not have sports anyway LOL
Well Ryan came over and played with the pipes in the attic and the pipe outside by the air conditioning - so hopefully fingers crossed my drainage issue will be fixed. If not I don't know what else to do. The ac in the attic keeps not draining correctly out the side pipe, and the drain pan fills and drains out the emergency drain in front on my porch. Its VERY annnoying. Has happened EVERY year since we got the new AC. This year its kept doing it. Every other year it did it once or twice once it got really hot....this started in FEB! ARGH. So he played with the direction/angles of the drain pipes. I realllllly hope it fixes it.
He also says he'll come help me tear down the fence too, tho I told him I might want to save the panels and just MOVE the fence, it will really depend on what type of neighbors I get in once they rent out that house again....also depends on how much of OUR property is actually ON the other side of the fence - i measured like 10ft at the widest, IF I found the right marker post. But we'll know Wed :)
Edit: Just got another BHH purchase!
Purchase items from the Blackheart Hollow. 6 / 10 (of 300!!!!) :o Dang. I got a long way to go lol
AND Is the Oracle insane? She wants a [item2=Omen Islands Pet Bed] NO!
Why is that not new, normal rarity item 2m?!
But oh gosh, two days in a row of BHH?! Congrats!!!!!
Ugh, hopefully that fixes the problems for you!
We got the dumpster filled today.. and didn't get all the stuff haha. BUT, we definitely made a big dent, and everything looks so much better already!
... now to mow. But maybe not today :P
Yea I was completely wowed by that item being that price. I hate to give up on an oracle quest, but that was not worth it! And yea!! I was shocked I saw another item so soon!
Yay for dumpster filling!! I seriously need to get looking at prices for one. Even if I end up not getting it til later on after I figure out mortgage crap. I had to hunt down the pipe cutting tool (lovely teenager is all "i dunno where it is" so I hunted instead of being annoyed by him NOT hunting right.....) and anyway, the back house is a disaster zone of crap. And just now I emptied the laundry room of everything that is NOT laundry (except for some spare weather stripping) related, and that is all sitting on my table...and well I do not have a working pool so I do not need pool cleaning chemicals for instance, so gotta figure out where to put that and other random crap that was in there. Tired of everywhere being just "storage" for random stuff. Like there is also two giant straps, like trucks use, there is an air pump that probably doesn't work (needs new batteries I think), random hoses, and other weird bits and pieces I have no clue what they belong to. Going to all go get tossed in the back house honestly hahahah and then eventually into a dumpster if I ever get one. Plan to do the same to my bedroom/closet AND the attic this summer. I want NOTHING left in the attic, even tho the boys will probably think I'm insane, but I want to have no reason to have to go up there for anything later in my life.
And I think I am feeling a bit grumpish/reclusive because i've been thinking about how could I close off my bedroom/closet/bathroom and make it a tiny apartment for myself and close up the rest of the house - and I cannot really do that until Nathan no longer lives here and/or Shane too :P Like, get a full size bed instead of my queen, put the electric fireplace back there, move out all the shelves with stuff that doesn't belong to ME, put my dressers in the closet instead of those shelves (or just get rid of the dressers entirely and hang up all my clothes), put my bookshelves in the closet (maybe), get a recliner for the corner of the room, move my lamp back there, move my desk and internet etc back there, could I get (would I have room for...) a mini fridge/microwave and cart for food storage, put the dog cage somewhere in there with me, and her bowl near that, ummmm yea. Reclusive feeling much? LOL
Honestly, a lot of that you can probably get rid of on a buy nothing page or something. Like the pool chemicals, they're expensive!
Dumpsters are SO expensive, but honestly.. I'm so glad to be able to maybe get some useable space? We're still getting rid of my grandparents stuff but.. we're getting closer to being done with that!
We may end up with another one later this summer, because.. we still haven't gotten to the garage at all, let alone all of the sheds! Annoying but.. it's fine! :P
We're really blowing through our list of chores to do though.. pool down, swingset down. Next is to get rid of all the flowerboxes that are just.. falling apart and have been for years, and then evening out the driveway and the lawn, from said flowerboxes, etc.
And we need to do SOMETHING about the garden if we're planning on having one this year because.. we can't do it like this!
We have an attic but I don't think anyone has been up there for at least 30 years, if not more. I don't think there's much stored in there but.. who knows, honestly. Whatever is up there can stay up there for another 30-50 years, until someone decides to take off the closet shelves and crawl through the hole haha.
That is quite reclusive :P
heh. I didn't even think about that, but I have no idea how old the chemicals are. at least a year, maybe two or more. I looked up dumpsters. The only one willing to put a price out there had a $500 one for the cheapest/smallest. Sheesh. Others I have to call to get a quote. I didn't call yet. Am debating WHEN I want to. Maybe later this summer, depending on how the mortgage goes. Maybe next summer, when I KNOW I will be getting a $1500 retention bonus from work. ($500 this June, $1000 in Dec and $1500 next June!!! I was so excited to hear that!)
Flowers - yes - I want to transplant the roses I have over by the fence> I don't think they are getting enough sunshine. I am going to move them over by the other roses or by the swing in the yard.
And are you freaking kidding me? But I went out to get my yard wagon and move some piles of raked up crap, and the wagon is GONE!!! I walked the whole property, even the neighbors, and its gone> i remember it being by the fence. And the lawnmower the neighbors left (which was also by the fence), the rocker that was on their porch and all that stuff in the yard they left is gone too. So I think the people renovating took it by mistake. I am going to call the company (its the property owners company) that was out here last anyway, and see if they can figure out where my wagon is!!! partly my fault i guess as it was by the fenceline, but still!! you should check on that before taking things that are borderline!! Edit: Crap they are closed til monday and i even did try to call anyway but it rang and rang and never went to voicemail even? It ended up with a dialtone? WEIRD!
Mmm hahaha yea. My attic has christmas stuff, stuff like my barbies and baby dolls and stuffed animals from when I was a kid, paperwork that can probably be burned by now, random things like old bedframes, skates, empty boxes, etc :P I think there is Ryans old car race track up there, you remember those? You set them up, put the car on them, then had these handle/trigger type controllers that you pulled and the cars raced around? Some old kids books, I know those are up there - like princess stories I just couldn't get rid of but Katie outgrew type of thing.... i just want it all out of there. And eventually yep, almost all of it will be gone somewhere. And honestly, nothing should really be in my attic. Its not set up to be a storage space really. We tossed some plywood up there and set some boxes on that, and then it just....expanded from there. I'd like to get it all out....and maybe get some new insulation put in too. One day.
I did put three pitchers/teapot type things on facebook marketplace, but not even a nibble yet. I just don't know about selling that way. I almost am just lazy enough to just trash it all or donate it. But those china things I thought I'd at least TRY to get some $ since my dad sent them to me as early inheritance type of thing hahahah :P (like, hey no one wants these, we chose YOU to give them to, here you go, sell them if you want to)
hahaha. Yeah, unless they're really popular or rare, they're unlikely to sell. But you never know!
You can also try a consignment store or antique store, depending on what they are!
Oof, that would suck. Hopefully they can find your wagon and bring it back for you!
Our flowerbeds don't even have flowers in them, and haven't in.. I don't even know how long! Never, maybe? They're just awful looking and full of weeds haha. It's time for the beds to go. so we can mow! :P
Oh, I didn't even mention but.. it's prom night tonight!
I tried an antique store in town, they said (w/o even looking at anything) that if it was old dishes they didn't want it, it doesn't sell. :( They said try facebook marketplace or other selling sites. I might see if I can find a consignment store....that's worth a try at least.
Flowerbeds sounds like my pots. I have three by the fence, I did have flowers last year, they died. Now its weeds. Going to use the soil when I transplant the roses. Need to decide if I am going to do that in fall, or wait til spring. Was going to do it this spring, but cleaning up after tornado took precedence on all other work.
Oooh yay for prom :) It was a few weeks ago here. Nathan not remotely interested, not that I dunno if I would have let him go, nor had the $ anyway. I hate that here they have prom in Atlanta instead usually. Or some other place away from town. And its always expensive. (like $100 tickets). I remember others complaining about how they were checking all the girls dresses to make sure they were dress code compliant, but dates of the boys that did NOT go to our school did NOT get dress coded.... Um no. Thats wrong. All or nothing to me. Whatever tho. My kid didn't go so I guess I can't complain, but I feel that is still wrong to do.
Wow, that really is wrong! Elly is dressed like Dorothy from the Golden Girls :P
The tickets here were $50, but the guidance office gave them to Elly and Jax. IDK why, and I don't want to know :P She had the money in her wallet and eeverything, but they were offered so.. whatever, just take them haha.
Heck yea, free tickets? Why not! :)
I saw the pictures, she is just sooo pretty. Dorothy clothes or not ;) lol
Nathan went over to a friends house, she came and picked him up. She will bring him back. I think this is the only friend I've never had to drive him for hahaha :P She's been here a few times, and he went to her house a couple times before now too, and out to dinner for her birthday with her family and a few other friends, so I feel ok with him going. However he is now in trouble because I asked him to get all the trash out of his room before going and he did not. I took his switch and his extra phone (he uses it to play music/read graphic anime on, it does not have a phone number associated with it, he uses wifi to access apps). I might take his actual phone when he comes home with it :P He still does not have the game room back, excepting when he has company (which is very rare, so that is why I allow it) - from when he got in trouble at school the 2nd time.
Yeah, Lilys going to be grounded once she's over being sick.
Which.. doesn't look like it'll be tomorrow.
Poor girl, she's got some kind of bug, massive headache, she had a fever the other day, IDK if she still does, and she's been throwing up. :(
When he got home, he ran off to his room before I could say anything and came out saying "where is my stuff?". Well. Then he tried to argue with me (he claims we were just having a "talk") that he told me he would do it after he got back home. I SAID BEFORE YOU LEFT. He argued that it didn't make sense, because he would put trash in it again after he got home. I said that didn't matter. I SAID BEFORE YOU LEFT. (more was said than just this, obvs) He said I was being like dad...taking away his stuff over little things. eye roll HIS ROOM IS A DISASTER ZONE. All I asked for was trash removal. I told him that taking those things away was literally the ONLY consequence I had to use for him, and if he had any other consequence to please let me know. Then I made him give me his other phone since he was arguing with me. If he cleaned up his room last night, I may give it back. I decided last night that the consequence going forward for him not cleaning up the trash in his room when I ask will be that I will go clean his room. He HATES me moving his stuff, says I am invading his personal space. I will tell him first. so he has the chance to actually CLEAN it himself. Maybe that will work.
Poor Lily, hope she feels better soon. And well....ugh. Grounding sucks. But if it works for her/you.... I hate to ground Nathan because he rarely goes anywhere. If he asks today tho, it will be a NO.
EDIT 845am The Oracle wants: Twilight Tutani Plushie Thank you, much more reasonable :P
Also, I have done dishes, laundry (switched washer/dryer, started new load, folded some), made tea and koolaid, cleaned the litter box (easy since I use that new pretty litter! lol), fed and watered the animals, cleaned off my school stuff area and my desk, And made more ice cubes because the ice machine in the fridge still isnt working even tho I replaced the filter, which I thought MIGHT be the problem, but I guess its something else. I know the water line is working, I can get water from the fridge. Spoke to a friend in text, Shane in text and Ryan called. So I've had a few Mothers Day wishes :)
Happy Mothers Day to those of you celebrating today!! 🌹
Happy Mothers Day, ladies!
Thanks for the flowers <3
Kat.. teenagers. Ugh. I'm just over them!
Iz has been super super helpful and kind today, which is.. weird, to say the least :P But very nice!
We've spent the last two hours getting ready for dinner, we made the hash brown casserole, smoked asparagus and red onions, and cut up lotsssss of fruit. And we made yogurt dip before we went to church this morning :P
Now it's almost time to go over the in-laws and actually finish cooking everything :P
I hope everyone is relaxing!
I feel you. I'm so done with teenagers too. Just a few more years...but I dunno if he'll be any more mature in his 20s :P Shanes not....not completely anyway. Slightly more I guess.
Fruit sounds good. I don't have any, except some mandarin orange cups. I looked at it yesterday when I went shopping, but I had to buy a $60 fridge filter so I didn't get any fruit.
I've been mostly relaxing this afternoon? Reading...folding a bit more laundry. Walked around the property to go warm up because I got cold in the AC LOL My fingers always feel like they are freezing in the AC and in the winter when its cold too.
Yay for Iz being nice to you :) None of mine are, not more than normal. Nathan still hasn't said ANYTHING about Mothers Day (big surprise there eh?) ... Katie sent me a text and an I love you.
Nathan is a jerk. Like, I'm just gonna say it. He's a jerk.
NOW. Odds are good that that's because he's the age he is but. He's a jerk. :P
Lily has been sick since Thursday, but she wrote up a longggggggg facebook post. And then texted me 7 times while I was at church to look at it :P
Iz and Alex picked out a picture frame, and she took it to school and they wrapped it and put a picture of her in it. And it's really a perfect frame, Alex did a good job!
Elly made me a little.. easel thing? That they painted. Cute!
And D sent a text first thing this morning, and Akira gave me a little plant. Super sweet!
We had uhhh.. strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, honeydew, cantelope, watermelon, and kiwis with a yogurt dip. And cold smoked asparagus and red onions with a balsamic glaze drizzle. And then egg benis, but with different options. Like, sausage patties OR canadian bacon. Fried eggs OR poached. Etc. :P It was really really good though! And hash brown casserole.
Yeah, he could have said something, at least! I'm sure they talked about it at school, to remind them, you know. They do here!
I don't much care for eggs GENERALLY, but I'll eat them when Alex cooks them! haha.
Isabelle woke up this morning and goes "My tummy feels weird, but I don't think it's because of Lily". I think her tummy just isn't used to eating much, she was ENJOYING herself haha. She even ate some fried egg whites, and she normally hates eggs! That's the same way I eat them though, I don't like the yolk all mixed in or um.. at all :P Though Isabelle loves devilled eggs and hard boiled eggs so. Who knows. She's just odd :P
yes, especially in high school lol.
Actually, I just looked in Lilys google classroom to see how much she needs to make up, and three of her classes have homework to "be nice to the adult women in your life" LOL.
The rapid strep test came back negative, but they're sending it out to the lab to double check. But she had a 101.8 fever 45 minutes after tylenol so. we'll see, IDK. Poor kid.
