I don't know if I've been around here since little Luke came along! We've got a 5 week old now <3 So I'm not sleeping. And I'm struggling a bit with PPD and PPA. I do love to read! I didn't meet my goal for this year, unfortuantely. But I've actually been reading in the middle of the night while nursing now xD

CONGRATS <3 that is amazing, i'm so happy for you. yea i had a hard time too with the first one at least.. the second was a dream. hopefully you have family around to help you, you can do it.. once they sleep through the night things start to get better. i went over my goal, LOL oops. i have 3 books to read but am waiting for the new year to start them.

I wasn't around here much during my pregnancy, so you may have not known! He came 2.5 weeks early so I was NOT prepared. I had just finished work 3 days before he decided to come -facepalm- My parents have been up a bit to help us out.. my in-laws live in town, but I really don't like my mother-in-law so having her come over actually increases my anxiety.. so I'm kind of just going at it on my own and having friends pop by from time to time. What was your goal this year? I tried for 35 I think? I'll probably only finish this last one I'm on so I'll hit 25.

yea i'm about the same with my mil but we also live 10 hours away so i sadly had no one but hubby when he was home. wow early.. was he all alright coming so soon? mine was late, the first, by a week. i didn't start till July so i put mine at 35 and read 50, so next year i am going for 100

- That's funny. That's how my hubby and I act. If anyone who didn't know us saw us teasing each other they'd think we couldn't stand each other. lmao 😂 That sounds like a cute series. When it comes to horror I love Stephen King. For mysteries, I love Elizabeth George and her Inspector Lynly series. I'm a huge sucker for any British mystery, though. I love Midsomer Murders series from the BBC. I usually catch it on Amazon Prime or Netflix these days. :D

- If you love a good story then the new Battlestar Galactica is amazing. The characters and plot are so diverse, deep, and rich that it completely caught me off guard. Of course, if you love over-acting and sci-fi kitch then Star Trek is full of it. I love it because I grew up with it and nothing else compares. :D

- it was but I'm channeling it towards a constructive conclusion. Besides, it's Christmas and I don't want to be a scrooge. ;) <3

- The best invention for wrapping pressies was the little holder with the pre-cut tape pieces in it. I almost wept with joy when I found that contraption. :D <3 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I guessed you might get one but that's good you took the preemptive migraine pill!! How are your joints doing? I slept horrible last night but ended up not feeling bad today so that was nice. I was stressing about our storm but it ended up not being bad at our house but it also hasn't cleared/warmed up as fast as they said it would.

Yeah kids always were mean to me growing up but it's okay. I was the new autistic kid so I get it I was an easy target. I didn't get much painting done Alex wanted to watch the lord of the rings movies since I've never seen them but I had fun watching them

I'm not a big fan of British mystery (or really anything british especially humor) honestly (I do like Agatha Christie) I suppose I just don't understand British slang/dry sense of humor when they do have humor in their shows, it just doesn't make sense to me. My fiance loves British television and books though! I'm more of a cozy murder mystery person like Murder She Wrote lol I do like Stephen King but I also prefer horror movies over books right now and usually the only ones that really scare me is foreign films (like Asian horror)

He was tiiiiiny. 5lb, 5oz. So they had some concerns for him.. they took his blood sugars every hour for the first 24 hours, but he turned out to be just fine. Just a wee little thing is all! He's probably over 8lb now. He's packing it on. Wow 100 books! I'm going to try for 35 again next year. I'm on maternity leave basically all of 2023 so I should be able to get it, actually! What do you like to read, mostly?

Thank you! We had another name picked for the longest time, but Luke was on our shortlist the entire time. Top 4 for me, at least. When we saw him we tried out all our names and Luke was the one we thought stuck best! What's new? What are you watching nowadays?

We actually had to stuff some cloth in one of our windows last night with how cold it got! The inside of the window had frost on it. It's mostly because the window lining stuff was old and then the cats made it worse, lol. But our makeshift solution seems to be working. Thank you so much! I was trying to figure out a way to make it look different than my last rainbow tree, so the stars made sense to me.

That makes a lot of sense! A summertime bash would be nice, too, because summer seems a lot more quiet event-wise.

Gah! You got a headache anyway? :-( I feel you on the freezing - however - it's frickin 55 degrees here today!! 😳 We tried to take the pups for a walk this morning and everything was just starting to thaw and the road and sidewalk were still slippery, but now it's completely thawed. 👏

Glad you were able to stuff something in the window! Years ago I got some fabric that is kind of like quilted and with foil in the inside and I've been using those pieces for the windows on and off for years. lol With our new windows I might not need to anymore, although once the sun starts shining again I may need to use it to darken the bedroom window. Hopefully, I can get new shades before then. On your tree, I love that you think outside of the box and I thought I might try something totally different too but I didn't get there. LOL
