I just finished reading Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I'm also reading Nona the Ninth, third in the Locked Tomb series, by Tamsyn Muir. (I really liked the audiobook reader for both Gideon the Ninth, the first book, and Harrow the Ninth, the second. If you're of a certain age you'll remember Nickelodeon GUTS--Mo was the referee lady? That's the audiobooks' reader, Moira Quirk. I haven't seen if she's contracted for Nona or the last book, Alecto the Ninth.)

- XD That's true. The cruft really hasn't changed from then to now. The change is how it's written and the reactions it illicits. Then again, the latest (besides the Matt Helm books I'm currently reading) spy thriller I've read was the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child, if they can be considered "spy." ;) Before that was theBourne Identity by Robert Ludlum. It was published later then the Matt Helm books, though. :D Got any recommendations?

my alltime favorite spy novel series is the Quiller series by Elleston Trevor writing as Adam Hall. There's just an amazing level of cool writing, story structure, and exciting incident in them along with characterization I really enjoyed (especially for Ferris, one of Quiller's handlers). It was published from the 60s to the 90s. The 70s and early 80s ones are the ones I think are best.

Honestly having a much older sibling had it's pros and cons, I think my brother and I are closer because we had that age gap as odd as it sounds. I looked up to him because he was this cool adult most of my teenage life so of course I looked up to him lol Yeah we did survive, I'm still growing from it all but it makes us strong :)

My girlfriend got one from her family for Christmas one year. I don't think she found anything too exciting/that she didn't know, but her family is into like family history and genealogy so it was kinda for them, haha.

Well, both Biting Cake and Meatslab the Furious are really hard to beat. However, I think I did 5 wins against The Furious when my Dieric was tier 13. My Dieric is tier 13 + 1200 points and sometimes I still lose with Biting Cake ahah It is really annoying!

- I looked Quiller up on audible and they have the first book free. So I grabbed it only to find the next 13 books weren't available. I really don't want to skip from book 1 to 15 so I'll just read the first book as soon as I'm done with the Helm series. I think the best spy thrillers were written in the 80s. That's when Ludlum published the Bourne books and they were good. :D
