I called the yarn store. She said she will call them when they get some in stock. Should be early January. This type of Icelandic yarn is very popular, so they have trouble keeping up with demand. o-o

changes outfits again Apparently Niamh was tired of the winter, so she's gone for an unseasonal beach look instead :P Yeah, I'm hoping I won't have to stick with the soft food for too much longer, but I'm guessing it'll still be necessary for a while yet (I tried a bread roll today instead of a sandwich, but that wasn't such a wise idea)

I think it's down to how wide I had to open my mouth to even bite it (and that's with it cut into small pieces) as I managed chewing gum (the dentist told me I should be chewing sugar-free gum after meals) in the afternoon without any problems o.O

That seems pretty unseasonal for this time of year.... or are thunderstorms and potential tornadoes common for January there?? It's annoyingly mild and wet :P (12C today, so that's about 53F) - thankfully we don't have much risk of flooding (we're part way up the side of a hill), but I definitely wouldn't want to live near the river with the amount of rain we've had!

Yeah, I don't think it helped that the last couple of things I made were the hospital gown style nighties for Gran, and her birthday bear.... so of course it's all kind of got associations with her.... I did try a needle felting kit yesterday, so I thought maybe that was a kind of sideways route back into some sewing ;)

Erm it should be "up to 6 weeks" but I don't think Lene's has arrived yet, and that was meant to take 7 days. Royal Mail were on strike on numerous days last month, and judging by the delay on a Christmas card that was posted early December and got here yesterday, I have a feeling that the post that's been waiting the longest to be sorted, is on the bottom of the pile :K So I'd hope it could be before 6 weeks, but I honestly couldn't say, as it all depends on how quickly Royal Mail can clear their backlog!
