Some mattresses does retain more heath. Which I suppose is a good thing during the winter. :P It was about 18c when I got up today. a bit chilly I think when I was only in my pjs. :P

For the first time, the postman was wearing a mask when he delivered our mail today (they weren't even wearing masks during lockdowns), which was quite surprising! The dentist and his assistants have been wearing masks since the start of the pandemic, but Dad said the optician didn't have a mask on at all (and they're still pretty close to your face), so it seems quite random which places still want to keep the masks, and which have decided we should all be 'back to normal' o.O

nods my mattress has a summer side and a winter side.... but if it's this warm on the summer side, I dread to think what the winter one would be like!!

That is almost a big concerning that he all of a sudden felt the need to wear a mask! I am glad the dentit office is using them. Mine did too when I went for the check out. Granted they wore them even before the pandemic. ;)

It would be nice if the summer side actually were cooler. o-o I guess it will be all year thing for you. ;)

All I can think is that he really didn't want to catch anything given that Christmas is so close ;) I still don't open the door to any couriers / the postman - I just call out of the window and ask them to leave anything in the porch 😇

My dentist always used to wear a 'surgical mask' but he's upgraded to a white mask (looks more like the kind of mask you'd use for woodwork) since the pandemic ;)

I sure have. It's massive so that doesn't help. -giggles- well in truth some larger ones can be intimidating. Yeah the inspection must've missed it I'm sad to say. :( OH Annie's fine. She was running amok shortly after I got her out from under my bed :D that is definately not warm :/ has it been fixed now? Lovely ha :D

I can't remember if my dentist had upgraded her mask since the pandemic or not? My mattress is super heavy as well, so no way I could flip it without help! I even struggle with the thinner mattress I have on top. Whatever you call those in England? :P

At least Annie is back to her usual self ;) How old is she? (I've lost track of how old each of the cats are)

Yep, after a very cold night, he came back on Friday late afternoon and got it working again (and that was a very expensive repair, considering it was "just" replacing the fan!). Iironically on Sunday the weather warmed up again, so we've not really needed the heating on this week so far :P

nods a few times the couriers have been really confused, wondering where this voice is coming from(!) but once they've been a couple of times, they get used to it, and seem quite happy that I'm not answering the door to them ;)

I don't understand why mattresses have to be so hefty.... yet they still don't stay on the bed without moving slightly so the edge of the bed is visible o.O We're really original with names - that'd be a mattress topper :P

How's the present-making going? I've finally got Mum & Dad's stuff wrapped (that took a lot of cupboard rummaging to find the things I bought in the sale in January!) but I haven't even started on their cards yet 😊

My mattress stays in place. I have a bed big enough for two, and the mattress is in one piece and very thick. I am so going to need help when the day comes where I need to replace it. :P Here we call them overmadrass, which just translates to over mattress. Not very original either. :P

He was very excited, especially since his new basketball matched his new air jordan shoes. LOL

That's an advantage then :d Maybe when it does need replacing, there'd be a nice young man who could deliver it and take the old one away as well? ;) hehe well that's good to know it's not just us with really non-creative names for that! ;)

Well I've got some things I bought before Christmas this year, that I'm stashing for Dad's presents for next Christmas 😇 (I would save it for Father's Day, but seeing as it's shaped like a Christmas cracker, that wouldn't really work in June :P).... but I'm going to write is all down this year, so I know what I've got, and where I've hidden it :P
