On the other side of the apartment complex they're building a different apartment complex. I am unsure what happened to make the water unsafe to drink for the moment. But I'm pretty sure it isn't weather related.
Last night around midnight there was no running water in the house for an hour or two.
Sounds like something went wrong, I'd be on the phone to the landlord and then City Hall, at least that is the route we take here.
My apartment complex is housing for the physically and mentally disabled (everyone is on either SSI or SSDI). Which makes the housing cheaper as it's under Section 8. Well...except for the house I'm in (that's a story) but the price is still reduced.
So we just have to wait for the moment and hope we get gossip about what's going on. People like talking to Brian so he usually knows important things that are going on.
Anyone who is competent should be able to call those that deal with their personal living situation and report what is happening. No one likes to hear that there is no water. Water pressure can be lower for construction purposes but not entirely cut off. As a last resort I would call my doctor's office and report this and ask for help in who can fix this situation.
EDIT: Sorry, this just really bothers me. Water is vital, maybe the agency that placed you or worse case call NBC and ask them for help.
Me and Brian are upset so no need to apologize.
Water is on but it needs to be tested if it's safe to drink. They just had to turn it off for an hour or two one night.
Someone from the city needs to come over to test the water. That's what we're currently waiting for.
Thank God that someone not living there knows, glad to hear that someone is coming to test the water. But in the mean time is any one donating water?
We haven't heard anything about that. So I don't think so.
I'm sure the owner/ceo/whatever his position is would make a big email about water donations if that was the case.
Do you have a local Red Cross or human services agency that you can call and explain the circumstances and setting this is taking place in that at the very least will point you in the right direction?
I'm not sure.
Me and Brian are stocked up on water. Some water was leftover from Hurricane season.
We took another person to Publix to stock up.
The lady that cuts our hair has a daughter at the place. She apparently wasn't aware of the water situation. Which is understandable as said daughter is going to have an operation soon.
An e-mail did go out giving everyone enough time to get water.
Glad to know that you are stocked up on water - to know everyone knew to get water and had time to do so.
Good afternoon all! Such a lovey, sunny and warm day here i could not stay inside. Went for a walk, and boy it was hot with my coat on but soaked up some vitamine D and sun! Needed it been home for 3 days after night shift and needed time to adjust back to normal routine.
And boy neighbours can be load when you trying to sleep during the day time and the neighbour who was drilling has been quiet all week since tuesday... sheesh!
Had a call from my landlord about He Who Must Not Be Named (lol) They set up a time and date (next week) for us tenants to talk to him with out him. And they are busy with their layer trying to remove the camera and maybe evict him (bit to early for that). Also the community police officer is going to talk to him to tell him he has to leave us alone.
how is the water situation now?
did you get the heat pump and is everything fixed?
did you tell your dad or not? If you feel ok about it you can tell hime slowly. And i do hope that one of your bio mom sister can fill in the blancs.
Ok! Who is ready for Vesnali?! I am -goes to wardrobe to change HA-
The heat pump system is what is going to be installed to replace the electrical system that came with the unit when it was rehabbed in about 1980 and I have lived here since 1988. As you can see my heating system is old and does not have much longer so I am grateful that they want to install this as the cost of $10 K is prohibitive and will leave this unit in better shape to be sold after I pass.
The water was confirmed drinkable today :)
- what was wrong with your water? :O
- I'm glad there's progress being made regarding your neighbor. I hope the meetings go well and this is quickly resolved. :) I told my Dad and he was happy for me. He had no further info, though. So, I'll have to wait until my sister contacts my (new-found) aunt for more details. I spoke further with my sister and she doesn't know anything more than that I existed. I really wish my mom had told her, or someone at least, what happened . I understand why she didn't, though. I was a scandal and she was still embarrassed by the event. If only this could be like in the movies where the mom left a letter explaining everything. lol :D
Something with construction made the water unsafe to drink for a day or two.
Exciting news: Ghost laid an egg!
Turns out Freyja is actually a guy and Ghost is a cougar XD
-waits for vesnali to start-
1980… year I was born.. wow that’s old and good you get new one.
lol drinkable is good.
well still waiting for an answer and still nothing and it’s this Thursday. Will call tomorrow if I haven’t heard anything yet before I go to work.
Glad your dad reaction was nice. I do hope someone has info for you
Just found out today that we are getting a management company for the condos and was guaranteed that it would not change anything regarding the installation. Thank God.
Happy Vesnali!
- Go Ghost! So, will you rename Freya? Is ghost keeping the egg warm or will you have to hide it like before?
- I hope it goes well. I hope the guy is able to get the help he needs. :) I'm pretty much reconciled with the fact I will never know. I'll give it some time, though. I'm still getting used to the fact that I've found both sides of my family. That is way more than I ever hoped to find. :D
[flower=ravenhart] [flower=emory]
We didn't rename Jorah when he turned out to be a female, so we'll do the same with Freyja. I plan to still refer to her as a girl.
Jorah tends to sit on his eggs and only occasionally leave his cage. Ghost and Freyja are ignoring the egg for the most part unless you walk near their cage.
Vet called back and said it wasn't necessary to hard boil the egg if the pair aren't sitting on it.
Parakeets also lay eggs every 24 hours so we still have to wait to see if there are more.
- Then Freya she will be! :D Wait, what? There's no baby bird in the egg? :O Do pet birds often ignore their eggs? I know nothing of bird instincts. XD
