I agree! IT really was. I am trying to find a way to turn it all off in my head. I can imagine how scary those trips were for you -hugs- She has indeed promised to stop taking it completely which I am very relieved about. If she didn't I would've gone through her medication and thrown it out myself.

hehe glad it's not just me then. I told her I was thinking of waking her at 4 am and checking sugar levels and she was oh Sarah, come on. LOL to which I replied, well I am not comfortable with you going from midnight to 8 or 9 am. Point in fact, yesterday her sugar was 101 at 7 pm and that's after dinner. So they gave her a second supper at 10 and when they checked her sugar at 8, it was 71. If they hadn't given her the second meal, then she would have been much lower, potentially even back to the 40's. So, you know, its a reasonable thing to be checking it before it gets to dangerous levels. Oh my, yes, this medicine has made a big difference. He'd had me on it before but told me to stop taking it when he changed medicine. So when I was at the last appointment he said, well let's put you back on the anti inflamitory meds. I'm very glad because even only taking it twice a day, it's made an impact for sure sure.

me too. No. Thursday morning it was 48 when they checked her sugar so they kept her overnight. Now we aren't sure if they'll keep her tonight because even with second supper, she had a blood sugar reading of 71 in the morning. 0.o. Apparently, NOW they are checking it more often. Er, HELLOOOO she's in there because she's getting to low, why now are you finally checking it more than 3 times in 24 hours?! I mean if it's controlled then once a day is totally fine, but she obviously isn't controlled at the moment.

I feel like drs jsut don't understand diabeties right x.x when I had my baby they told me I wasn't allowed to take any insulin till my dr approved it but my dr wasn't answering the phone which caused my numbers to keep going higher and higher and we ended up having complications, everything turned out fine but like diabetes is a big deal and gotta treat it properly. hope they are watching her more closely now
