today was a good day! i had an echocardiogram (sonogram of the heart) and it went very well. the tech said there is no trace of the congestive heart failurethat i was diagnosed with 2 years ago. i'm very happy with this result. 😀

- my dad was a cop so (unfortunately) i got to hear it at a police funeral when i was very young. it was haunting and it's stuck with me ever since.:)

- i'm definitely not trying to convince anyone not to go to college. quite the reverse, in fact. my youngest is still trying to decide what he wants to do in life. i've explained each point you brought up to him and he's still waffling. it doesn't help that his older brother dropped out of college nor does it help that his oldest sister is a college grad while his middle and youngest sister are currently in the middle of their college experience. personally, i want him to go for the reasons you listed. but he sees his brother getting along fine with no college education and wants to emulate him. it's so frustrating. have any pointers i could use to nudge him in the direction of a secondary education? 😔

I told you I had a ton of candy to do but only having one machine makes it hard to get to it all :D I'm going to do SO much taffy once we get the table/electrician out here to do the other outlet lol XD its going to be awesome :D and sometimes i don't want to be busy...I piggy backed skittles for like 4 days the other day because I kept selling out of skittles/then new orders/goodbye new skittles I just made haha :P but I want to get a BIG chunk done and have "extras" for all the flavors so that way I'm not immediately out so I might have to do a bit of extra work here and there but hopefully over time I'll have less to do cause I'll have done so much :P Ugh do not tell me about B&B LOL! I still have a stash from last year :D I do love my B&B soaps but I wonder how cheap they'll really be this year with all this rampaging inflation going on ya know?

Update: So I went to my doctor appointment today and was told that my doctor left that morning for Africa for a family emergency. So they did hydrotherapy and put the cast back on. I have another apt on the 22nd but they've already said it's likely they'll do the same thing, replace the padding and put the cast back on. So it's nearly a guarantee that I'll have the cast for another month since he doesn't return until after the 4th. I'm hurting a good bit since moving it about does bother it.

oh man I've always wanted to visit a castle XD I bet they are amazing :D and thank you! I imagine we'll be stuck for another almost year here...BUT we'll save/hope for the best in the meantime :D

well most things are done in like 12 hours or so...but then I'm sleeping etc :P so by the time I get to it/bag it/then add more trays of skittles (which don't need the full dry time) but that's still 4 hours so by the time I bag candy/add skittles I have to bag those the next day LOL :P but two machines should help me at least keep UP on skittles LOL! and potentially get a LOT of taffy done :P Some days I'm lazy haha cause it takes foreverrrrrrrr :P I just sold out of my 12 oz of sour skittles again....like for the life of me I can't keep up LOL XD it seems everytime I do something then something else sells out...Oy Vey :P

no, I don't really have any more arguments. If he's heard all these arguments and still waffling, maybe he's got one of the situations (like Colorful did) where for him it's better to wait? Or not go at all. My own son tried for about 5 years and didn't get that far, he was too disorganized and passed only about half the classes he took, then remote classes took over and he can't manage them at all. So he's planning to go back at some point, but he's already 25.

Kind of sucks you can't plant everything this year but having a jump on next year will be nice!
