That's way cool on the romance book and the Urban fantasy one :D And that sounds like a really eclectic mix for Vivian's Philosopher's flight book! Sci-fi, urban fantasy and alternate historical fiction? Wowser :P the only Sci-fi one I really know off the top of my head is Craig Martelle and Kevin Anderson I think? I just know them in author groups online lol but pretty sure they both have a ton of sci-fi :) And that sounds like an interesting mix for Rosewater! especially all the competing characters against each other....I do like some sci-fi ones or used to but maybe more in the space category lol

And yeah subeta skins is like impossible to ever have them all! Especially if each year there are new skins LOL! My guess is harder cheeses are aged longer. Like I do think cream cheese is one of the worst for lactose. Or at least when I was trying to find out a few years ago that's all I could figure out.

WTH? 😳 They're sending me a new one on the old account with the money but will take 2 years. Lol I made that last part up. They said 10 days. :-)

Logan Nine-fingers is sure an interesting character. On the outside he's a typical barbarian archetype, berserker, rough northerner; on the inside he's terrified and clinging to life and sanity by the barest inch every time something goes wrong and can only accept love when it is feral and temporary. He's racked with guilt and self-hatred and a huge helping of impostor syndrome. Perfect specimen of what First Law trilogy did that the follow-on books didn't seem as good at, to me, is him. But I admit I didn't give them much of a re-try; the books were a little tiring even if they were worth it, so I wasn't keen on pushing myself past the initial "oh this isn't as good" reaction. I have so much more to read than I have time to read, that's why.

As for romance novels -- It's up to you what you want to read, of course, but romances have subplots that aren't romance the same way non romance books have romance subplots. I have found good luck depending on friends' recommendations across genres, just had to find friends with the same taste in books as me. 😁

I read very little about zombies, but I enjoyed "Raising Stony Mayhall" by Daryl Gregory, and Cassildra just mentioned a series by Mira Grant (one of Seanan McGuire's pseudonyms) that starts with "Feed" and is a trilogy plus extras.

and (keep reading) suggested I give Ilona Daniels' books another try.

The Philosopher's Flight book is by Tom Miller; the Strange Practice one is by Vivian Shaw. Sorry if I wrote that confusingly before.

I didn't eat as much as I normally do but then like after I went to bed I woke up to pee and was hungry so ate a few forkfuls of lo mein LOL! We always order extra so that we have another meal or two out of it and that works GREAT! :D I kind of want to try freeze drying some chinese food...it won't last as long because all the oils they use but imagine the possibilities LOL!

haha! Yeah I mean folks must think we're pigs but its not uncommon to order like 6 different things XD one main thing for me, hubs, daughter XD and the other three with fried rice get eaten over a few days :) I'm a total House Lo Mein kind of girl...I love all the meats yum! That's actually my main dish I pick LOL! And yeah I know some people have done Panda Express before to eat later (brilliant) lol and I'm sure long term wise it wouldn't work...but it should work for a few years XD Just need extra cash to blow like 500 dollars and freeze dry a bunch :P that would make epic meal times for the apocalypse haha!
