I think there is a potion that can get rid of your zombie skin but it takes it off entirely so like if you started the skin it will remove it but that isnt exactly what your saying I dont think to hide it?

I've never tried to make a cold tomato soup XD But there definitely has to be some recipes we can use for like you know long term stuff....I want to learn canning but to be honest its a bit intimidating LOL! But I think tomato stuff is probably one of the "safer" ones to can? I think? lol XD so like salsas and stuff....and I think shelf life is what like 5 years instead of well freeze dried stuff which is like 20 LOL but I totally need a bigger house and a dedicated area/shelves for like food dried stuff and canned stuff :P don't want to get into canning till I have the space for it because moving with a bunch of canned stuff sounds like fun :P

fine... doing fine... that's always going to be the answer so you can assume it's the case even without asking... anything more specific? A definite lack of real life zombies and a lack of the more fun subeta type zombies too, alas. I'll ask you the same as Cassildra, with the zombie part broken out separately - what type of disaster is the most fun? If it's zombie apocalypse, do you have any recommendations for media? I've watched I, Zombie (I liked it because I enjoy procedurals especially the quirky ones) and Santa Clarita Diet (too graphic for me I guess) but I'm too wimpy to watch like, Walking Dead or Zombieland, I can't with the visible gore stuff unfortunately. Books are better, I've got one called Feed that I haven't read yet but maybe will some day (I like the author's other stuff).

Hmm more specific :) How's your weather? :P We've been in the 25 degrees and below category which has translated to like real feel negative 25 a LOT (which is sooooo much fun) and we have a ton of snow just hanging out on the ground from like a week ago LOL sure hope it doesn't snow for 24 hours again anytime soon :P I'm not into zombies as much in books or TV shows :P I do like the subeta zombie skins (which I feel I'll never ever catch up on?!) Cause then I'm always trying to get new skins AND old skins :P The only shows really is The Santa Clarita Diet which was quite funny but it can be a bit gross :P I know my son loves the Walking Dead but just watching some of the stuff he watched freaks me out a bit so I haven't watched that one LOL honestly I'm more into the Romances in books, mainly in Urban Fantasy and or Paranormal and or sometimes Fantasy or not as often Historical romances :) but for Urban Fantasy books I'd recommend anything by Ilona Andrews (her Kate Daniels series is awesome) well I shouldn't say her...cause its a hubby/wife writing team LOL but they've got some good world building in those :)

I read one of Ilona Andrews books once, I don't remember it well but I'm sure it was good; a lot of those kind of books blur together though in my mind and I think I got sick of them. Maybe will go back to it someday.

I am though reading books in that general vicinity right now, I was telling EvilRedDuckie about them. One is romance between scientists (by Courtney Milan) and the other two are vaguely in the arena of urban fantasy (Strange Practice by Vivian Shaw definitely since it's about a doctor who treats vampires & the like; The Philosopher's Flight is somewhere in the mix of science fiction & urban fantasy & alternate-historical fiction). My favorite genre is science fiction, and I read a fair amount of that, but just finished the one I was in. Rosewater Insurrection (locals vs Nigerian government vs aliens vs alien plants in future Nigeria).

My local weather is low 40s and sunny. It snowed last week here too but it's all gone now.

I love getting subeta zombie skins. I too feel like I'll never catch up, but even though I've only been here for I think 3 survivals, now, I got quite a few skins! I think 5-6 a year? I should count.

I think my favorite disaster before the now-times was a pandemic. Now I'm just angry all the time. But I still really love the Newsflesh Trilogy by Mira Grant, which is about zombies--nominally. If you haven't read it, you should.

I have not read Newsflesh series, but I've had it for years, since I like that writer (mostly her October Daye series but also some of her other recent things) just haven't been in quite the right mood. Soon perhaps!

wow. i think i caught everything that was aimed my way so forgive me if i leave anything out.

- yeah, i figure when the caps lock turns on by itself it's wanting attention since it takes too much time for me to type with proper capitalization.i figured y'all would understand. and me? cranky? yeah, nope. ;) lol

- i was looking around to see if i could dig up info on the item. i didn't find anything similar to the hex-stopper from morostide. eh, no worries, the event will start sometime between now and march and i'll figure it out. :D

- holy guacamole, batman! someone else that's read the first law trilogy! i was beginning to think i was the only one. i picked it up because of logan nine-fingers. i wanted to know why he only had nine fingers.i'm surprised you didn'tgo much further than the first 3 books. all his books are set in the same world using the same characters (i believe) as the trilogy. i enjoyed them because he showed that even when some characters move on there are always other characters around to get to know. i'm eagerly waiting his next installment.

terry pratchet is a god. his ability to take complex moral situations and turn them inside out with a bit of humor and tongue in cheek is his super-power. i loved "feet of clay" and the night watch, but his masterpiece was monster's regiment.

i'll just say this right off: i do not read romance novels. if romance is part of the plot, that's ok. but i don't read books that are solely romantically based. also, i read a lot and then re-read a lot. due to the illness that blinded me i have issues with long and short term memory. that means i frequently forget what i just read. this doesn't always happen but it's left me in the lurch many ,many times when talking of books (and other stuff, too). you seem to be one that disects books. i'm glad to find someone else who does the same. only problem is that i tend to do it to the book i'm currently reading, and then forget all about it.

so, the nigerians vs alien fungus sounds intresting. so does the doc treating vampires one.i also love zombie apocolypses. liked them better when i could see them on the screen. haven't read any zombie books yet. my fav zombie movies are resident evil. my fav zombie sceen is in 28 days later when the helicopter scythes through a horde of zombies . it was epic.

and now i'm going to run off leaving this huge post behind ...rofl

You could give up the short aged cheeses and try to only eat the long aged ones as they have less lactose. Whatever that means. lol I read that back when I first stopped eating cheese.

I couldn't quite figure it out even when I just Goggled it. I'm thinking it might say on it if it's aged but not if it's not aged. Truthfully, I'm not even sure what qualifies as aged. I just read that longer aged cheeses have less lactose and lactose is apparently what caused my acne. That probably didn't help one bit. :-P Ah! I just found this: Aged cheese is cheese that is left to ripen for several weeks to several years to develop more flavor and, in the case of many aged cheeses, a firmer and more crystalline texture. Still not sure that's very helpful.

Interesting..... Hmmmmmmm LOL! I will have to look at my packages of cheese to see. I feel like sharper cheddars are probably aged longer? I love me some sharp cheddar drools
