I am sorry about your shop. :( I hope sales picks up soon for you. hugs Just relaxing a bit here before I head out for a walk. Need to stop by the post office too to send something.
Was it a large school? :) My first school wasn't. Just one class for each grade with about 25-30 kids (from 1st to 6th grade) Our schoolground just had a couple of swings etc and not much else. lol . About 5 different classes for the same grade for 6-9th. :P Again 25- 30 kids. Which is not that small.
:nods: That is what gave me trouble in Berlin as well! Man, they seem to talk a lot faster than we do. lol I would try to order food etc in German for the practice still tho, and it went okay. Have not been to Germany in very long, so I don't think I would even do a good job anymore doing something simple like ordering a meal. :P

me too. I'm rather concerned at the lack of activity enjoy the walk and post office.
thanks :D I wanted the bear to look like it was on part of the ship, but it lying on the sail was the best I could manage :P Not in a good frame of mind today, so I can't work on the sewing like I'd planned :K
I can't remember on the first two schools (they were pretty small though) but the senior school was the smallest in the area - 30 in the class, and three classes for each year group.... but that ended up more like 25 in each class by the fifth year after some had left and gone to different schools or moved away from the area. There was about 350 - 400 in the entire school ;) For A-levels, because that was optional and our year group was the last one doing A-level study at that school, we ended up with a year group of just 9 :P
But your first school sounds really small! Did that seem really weird going to the bigger school after that?
When I'd been in town before and there were a lot of foreign tourists, I did try listening to the German or French ones talking to see if I could pick up anything, but it all was so fast I just couldn't keep up! I reckon though that they'd feel we spoke too fast for them as well (or at least Id hope so, just so I didn't feel so slow on the uptake!) - maybe it just takes our brains a bit longer to take in a foreign language as opposed to our first one, so it all just feels too fast? :P
I wouldn't even know where to start on ordering a meal in a different language!

Niamh wants to start October with a Morostide outfit, so I'm making the most of another Keel Hauliday look for today :P I don't think I'll manage an entire month of Morostide-y outfits though!

I am not even sure why we don't have anything like A-levels for students here. o-o All I know is that students that are struggling are suppose to get more help, even that doesn't always work like is should either. I think it makes sense to let good students take more advanced classes. If classes are too easy it can get very boring and why should you hold students back from learning more? ;)
Most of the kids from the old class started at the same new school as me. But it was a bit of a adjustment having a bunch of brand new faces in the class, more so that the size itself. :)
I don't generally feel like English speaking people talk to fast, but that might just be me being very used to hearing English everyday I turn on my telly. :P Most of the shows I watch are american after all. lol I don't speak any French, except for a few words, but I agree. It seems really fast for my ears to pick up on!
Thankfully in places they get a lot of tourists, their menu is often translated to English as well. ;)
Thanks, I did. Not many plans today, so I guess I can do some gaming and continue knitting. xD

I can almost guarantee I won't be able to do an entire month for Morostide outfits if Niamh insists on changing every day :P But here's day one at least ;)
you might have a similar thing - for us, GCSEs are studied between age 15 and 16 with exams taken at the end, then either you can take A-levels (another two years, with exams at the end) or go to college and study more of a vocational subject. You can then go on to University (although I didn't, and got a job instead) ;)
I do find some strong American accents quite hard to follow, mostly because it's not something I hear all that often (other than on tv), so I've really got to pay attention to follow the plot of the programme! :P

sounds good :) haha well we can try ;) ooh pretty ha today :D
blame Niamh for spotting the outfit was released yesterday - but at least it didn't cost as much as your one the other day ;)

haha I would truly feel bad for you if it did cost as much :P
even so, I've told Niamh she'll have to wear the individual items more than a handful of times, to justify me spending out on them 😇

Nope, nothing like that here. lol A few university studies (like medicine etc) requires you to take advanced match, psysics etc during 10-13th grade), that is about it. :)
Other than southern accents, I can't usually not tell where American people are from. :) I usually have subtitles on as well, so that makes it easy to follow regardless. :)
:yawns: Just chilling before doing some cleaning and going to a soccermatch with my dad later. :D

haha nice. or should I say mean :P Today's bubbling brew looks great.
hope your team wins :D
That's completely different to us then! Even for the more 'basic' university studies, you have to have done A-levels (well, they're now called AS levels which are half the size of an A-level, but you do twice as many).
hehe same here on the southern accents! I usually have the subtitles on too (apart from on the tv channels that annoyingly don't have them :P) - that comes in handy when you're watching a film where the speech is so quiet then the next monute (just when you turn the volume up) there's a really loud scene / loud background music ;)
:P Thanks :d I see you couldn't resist using that one too ;) it works really well with that background and the fish! :D
wonders how many of the October collection items Niamh will insist on having

I wouldn't have thought of layering anything over the smoke / fumes coming from the cauldron - I might have to play in the wardrobe with that! ;)
Shush, don't encourage her! Certainly the book and food are essentials, but I'm hoping the actual wearables aren't Niamh's style (then I can save up for the December one which no doubt she'll say is "vital" :P)

I thought the fish just went so perfectly over it that I had to go with it. hehe Idk... I mean that wig for starters is pretty great :D and those birds... and...
and speaking of perfect, I love your HA-less look today too! :D :D
:P I worked out I'll need 7 of this month's collection just to satisfy Kosmo (both soft serves are edible as well as wearable) and Niamh!
