I have never done anything for anniversaries. :P PJs and nightie sounds like a good choice. :D My mum asked for pjs for christmas, but I will be buying them obviously. ;)

For the washclothes it doesn't matter if I get a bit distracted, so perfect for when I watch tv. It is the same stitch over and over again. If I have to count etc, it is more tricky tho!

I still stand by my choice of word. LOL! Relaxing a bit before I meet mum in town for lunch and errands/shopping. Will see if I can find some new clothes maybe.

I usually make an IOU voucher to say that I'll pay for them to have a cup of coffee & slice of cake somewhere when they go out.... but with the pandemic, they've not been eating out anywhere hence the PJs idea :P laughs

Even people that has knitted for 40 years makes mistakes like that. I have seen people ended up knitting two heels on a sock etc fb. Sometimes you can't help but laugh.

Mum's come to the realisation that if she doesn't get on and have a coffee somewhere soon, she might never feel comfortable with it again, so I think she's aiming for some point before Christmas just to have a coffee without the cake ;)

ROFL now a double heeled sock would definitely be an interesting make! ;) I cant imagine knitting a single decent heel on a sock, but to do it twice because they weren't paying attention?! :P

I find socks difficult. While I can knit them, they never end up looking that good. :P I need more practice probably. :) I have seen some really nice sock patterns, so it would be nice to master it. :)

And I heard back from the pet shop (the one that's 40 minutes away) - they recommend no longer than an hour to transport a budgie in a cardboard travel box.... although Mum's wondering now if a proper travel cage might be more suitable ;)

To be honest it took them a while over here to actually get sorted on who qualified for a booster!

oooo I've never come across that kind of needle before, but that looks like it'd be much more user friendly than trying to knit with regular dpns!!

Day six of migraine that's getting way too old. We've had a massive shift in the weather which I'm sure isn't helping. Nor is the fact that my Zyrtec isn't helping. I'm so congested that I've been literally gasping for breath at night time. I know allergies trigger my migraines too. So in an effort to calm them I've washed my ceiling fan down, then hoovered the floor and pulled off all my bedding and am currently washing it. Then showered and changed into fresh pjs in case any dust got on those as well. if this doesn't work, then on Tuesday (dad's payday) we'll see if the new air filter works. If not, looks like we'll have little choice but to buy me a hepa filter because I can't continue like this. Been a zombie nearly all week with only moments of not being completely miserable.

Ooh that's great news. Those little travel cages aren't terribly expensive either so you could probably order one online and get it home before the fridge is sorted. Then your mum would feel more confident :D and she could just cover the cage to reduce stress :D
