XD I'm awesome :D
hehe. How about a duck, guinea pig, Fwooper, mini horse and a mini lion XD
[no, it's totally not a costume ;) )
ROFL there's nothing I can say to that!
....although I could actually see her with a mini lion at least :P

That is a good idea for bday and christmas gifts. :D Hmmmm :)
A shame it took them that long to get your the lenses you actually needed. A guess the teacher wanted to be helpful, but its really not to a teenager. I was told the same by some teachers, since I was so nearsighted. They did not know that glasses will never give me perfect vision. People will assume you see great if you just have the right glasses. :P
That makes sense for plastic frames I guess. Optician of course would like to sell you expensive lenses and frames if they can. :P It is good then at its changing for the better now. :D Going to be interesting to see when I have my next appointment if I actually need new lenses or not.

It doesn't seem too difficult to do? :)

o.O I was sure I replied to this (I must have dreamt it!)
:P
I've never understood why they underprescribed glasses for children, as it didn't do anything other than make me frustrated that I couldn't see things in the distance on holiday that Mum could! 😊 I'm fortunate that with my glasses on, my eyesight is pretty much 'normal' - it must be even more annoying when people assume your eyesight is great when you've got your glasses on!
That's very true, especially when they only stock designer frames! o.O Do you need glasses for reading as well as distance?

I'm pretty sure I've got that one lurking in the wardrobe somewhere already 😇

That is good to know! :)
:nods: it is not like seeing properly is important is it? :P In school and everyday life. o_O That is great that your eyesight is more or less normal with glasses. :D Sure is annoying, since people assume since I can't see perfectly I must have the wrong prescription.
I use the same glasses all day and only got one pair. :) How about you?

Same here - one pair, and I use them all day! They did start checking how I'm getting on with reading with my glasses on, at my last eye test.... apparently when you get to 40 (or thereabouts) you're more likely to need slightly a different strength for reading. And that's the age when my parents both needed varifocals (distance lenses in the top bit, then the lower section is for reading).
I'm not looking forward to that though, as I tend to move my head when I read (so I'm looking through the centre of the lens), rather than looking out of the lower section of my glasses! :P

I couldn't resist using one of those new backgrounds, and Niamh wanted to see if she could watch the critters without being too obvious.... hence her disguise as a tree :P

That is true about getting older, so it will be interesting to see what they say once I have my next eye exam. I noticed I tend to look over my glasses when I use my cellphone etc. :P Those varifocals seems to be something it takes time to get used to, never had that myself. :) I am sure it does get better wearing them over time. :)
My mum picked up Pusur today. I am staying with my friend at a hotel for a few days, since she is coming home for a funeral. Excited to see her, but wish it was under better circumstances of course.
You? :)

My dad looks over the top of his glasses to read, even when he had new varifocals o.O I don't know if that's because his lenses don't help, or if he just prefers to look over the top of them
I tried reading something the other day without my glasses on, and just failed completely laughs 😊

well it looked fantastic as does this one :D
hope she can enjoy some time though and of course you :)
Grocery shopping and other chores today.
@ Paddy I am not sure either, maybe it is just a bad habit for me. I can read with the glasses too. lol
I can read okay without glasses as long as the text is near me, not a sign for ahead or something like that. :)
I hope so too. Trying to be there for her as best I can.
