Getting the right fit for a pair of jeans can't be easy, hopefully you will get it to work with some tweaking. :D I def. think I would have had to stick with buying mine. :P

Does the button controls work well you think? Curious about that. :)

yep. You actually move it with your thumb just like the motion control is supposed to be but way less painful and fairly easy. I say fairly as I haven't gotten spin attack down as well as I'd like

That sounds promising. :) Glad it is not causing you as much pain as the motion controls did. :)

Niamh hopes he still approves with this one :P

that's definitely true! At least with joggers (given that the fabric is stretchy) I can make it work a bit easier ;) If the joggers pattern works (that one is automatically made to fit the measurements you put in on the site), I might see if I can fudge it a little to turn the pattern into a jeans pattern ;)

What I really need for the jeans, is to ask someone who has a lot of skill and knowledge in fitting jeans (face-to-face rather than just sending a pic online) so I can find out exactly what bits I should be altering :P I found some guides, but none of the things I'd changed seemed to resolve the problems it had, and I was wary of changing too much!

What colour/pattern will the joggers be? :) It is very helpful to have someone there to help you in person, if you know anyone you would be comfortable asking. You can learn a lot of making mistakes as well, and trying to work out problems. :)

Just got a text, looks like I will be able to pick up the game or/and the amiibo tomorrow. :)

Niamh's now looking for a bikini outfit laughs And I've broken my New Year's resolution - they had 25% off jersey fabric, and I "need" to make more trousers for autumn, so I splurged 😇 that'll make two pairs of trousers and a t-shirt ;) However, I did remember to add in the buttons for those three shirts (plus interfacing because I have no idea what I did with it o.O, and some pj elastic which hopefully will be more comfy than the stiff elastic I have here at the moment) ;)

the fabric I'm going to use for the joggers is this one (link) in blue - I was after something that would look seasonal for autumn / winter, without looking Christmassy;) The actual pattern is from Apostrophe Patterns (link) which actually wasn't too pricey compared to some other patterns I've seen before!

That's very true, although so far my trouser-fit mistakes have just ended up being unresolved! :P

so I have to use shoes/sandals in the house. I have very high arches and that's part of why I have calluses and walking on the hardwood floors hurts. So I've been using shoes around the house. My old pair just fell apart (had them for like 10 years) and we bought me some new sandals on the first this month. Well, last night I discovered they were broken!!! So I've returned them on amazon and just bought a pair of slip on sneakers from sketchers for another $23. Well worth it for a better pair of shoes. Unfortunately, now I have two weeks without house shoes. I'm gonna use a pair of sandals with back straps, which I don't like doing as it's hard to take on and off if i need a pee LMAO

Lene- ooh exciting! <3 Paddy LMAO smart girl XD.
giggles. Excellent :D hehe. sounds like a great shopping online trip XD

sits and admires your HA

I have to do exactly the same with shoes / sandals (for the same reason - I can't go barefoot because my arches are stupidly high). But that stinks with the new ones being broken! Hopefully the Skechers ones will be much better (and more comfortable too) as it's never easy when you can't find anything that suits your feet ;)

Oddly enough, Mum didn't complain when I showed her the fabric, but I think it helps that she was telling me I needed to make more trousers (and that's not possible if I don't have the fabric!) :P

ROFL Niamh counts that as a successful outfit then :P

We're only getting post every other day this week apparently, so today a lot of things arrived at once - including the fabric for my joggers project, so that's now heading for a prewash :D It's not the weather to be making really thick warm joggers really, but at least it's suitable weather for the fabric to dry quickly ;)

That is a shame with the shoes, but 10 years is a long time for shoes to last. :) I love my two pair of skechers shoes, so comfy. IIt is mostly all I wear when I am out. Dont wear shoes indoors. am a bit confused about why you need to take your sandals of to go pee tho. LOL

Ohh, that is a very nice pattern and fabric you picked. :D I bet it will look great once it is made. :) I reckon it must be a lot of work to write a pattern, so it makes sense people want some money for it. :)

I am at my witts end of how to be able to knit with 3 colours and keep the right tension and have it look even and nice. o-o It can be frustrating when you dont get it to work like you want to. :)

nods some patterns can be free (or very cheap - there's one online pattern creator who sells 6 patterns for $1 each, with a different 6 on that offer each week), and some are really expensive in comparison, especially when you consider you still have to print the pattern off and stick all the pages together!

I'm no help on that - I can't keep an even tension with one colour, let alone three! 😊 I can imagine it's even harder when you've set it aside to come back to another day, then realise you're knitting ant an entirely different tension that day ;)

Ooh awesome :D lol. I imagine you'll wait till its a shade cooler to make? IT sucks having high arches doesnt it. I'm sure the new ones will last much better XD. Should hopefully be here by the end of the week. I have ortho trainers but I cant wear them sitting in the recliner comfortably so it makes it challanging, which is why i like the slip on types but you're very right its so hard to find comfy shoes.

Oh my word, it's been such a long, long day. I made a custom ordered notebook cover and pencil case, I also finished the second panel of the monster purse, appliqued the smile on and teeth on, made a purse strap for it and Ruth's purse, sewed a lining together, sewed both panels together as well. I've only got the lining to figure out since it's being weird and its all done. I also made some sales from family friends today (one of them the custom order, so I have packaged those up and ready for the post office tomorrow.

Right, I love sketchers. No not off on. I can't wear shoes all day so they are beside my chair. I slip them on when I get up to do something and if you've gotta pee suddenly that can make it hard to you know, do that before addressing the issue lmao. I could in our old home but these hardwood floors are VERY painful to walk on.

yeah, I'm not too keen at sewing with sweatshirt fleece at the moment! The heat alert thing ends tomorrow night, so hopefully maybe either Saturday or next week (depending on when Mum & Dad are out, as I have to use the dining table to cut the fabric out) I can get started on cutting out the fabric and sewing :D .... I do have to rummage for some thread as well (didn't dawn on me that I should order that when I got the other fabric and buttons 😊)

I keep my trainers / sandals on all day, as I don't have the patience to keep putting them back on each time, and I can't wear slip ons as they always slip back off again! :P I've got three pairs of sandals (almost identical to each other - I try to nab them when they have a £29 sale!) and also those two pairs of Skechers that work for autumn / winter ;) Some of the trainers I had bought in recent years no longer fit because of my bunion though, so I had to give those to Mum (we've got the same size feet but she doesn't have high arches or a bunion to contend with), which was pretty annoying as I really liked those ones!

addy That is true, printing can get expensive too, as ink is not cheap (depending on your printer of course). I try to stick with free patterns as much as possible, but sometimes you just fall in love with something you just have to make. ;)

It is the same for me, it is not always the same when I knit the next day. Tension is the bane of my knitting existance! It is a shame, since there are many sweaters I would love to make for myself. :)

@ Raven That does sound like a long day, produtive tho. :D Mum has been here for dinner and a walk. Got some new plants for my balcony as well. :)

Haha. that makes sense for when you need the bathroom in a hurry. lol Understandable that you need shoes if it is painful to walk without them. :)

EDIT: Picked up my game last night, so might have to test it later. :O

I print everything on draft - it might be paler ink, but it's still readable ;) And any large bits of paper that aren't needed for the pattern, get reused as shopping lists ;) I'm trying to be a bit more particular about the patterns I'm buying, which helps that I have more of an idea what kind of pattern shapes work best for me :)

I still think you're incredible to be able to knit an adult-sized sweater in the first place! I struggled with the patience for the one I made K when he was little laughs

That sounds like a good way to keep the cost down for a bit. Often when you buy cheap printers, you are stuck with expensive ink instead. :P I dont print often, when I do there always seem to be a problem. lol

Thanks! I am impressed at how much you manage to make with your fabrics. :) I would not have the patience for that, but it is a good thing we are all different. ;)
