I saw bits of it - when it went to penalties, Mum was actually watching it (almost unheard of for her to follow football), but that was mainly so she could let Dad know the score (he was in the bath at the time :P) ;) On the previous match I didn't need to watch any of it to know who'd won - there was this really loud "singing" (think blokes all singing slightly out of tune to each other) of 'Football's Coming Home' from gardens around here, so I knew England had won that match :P This time there was just silence (so it was pretty clear we'd lost!)

Glad its not just me that hoards them mostly just because. xD A couple of nights with very little sleep here, so I feel like a zombie. :P

I am pretty sure she feels like its taking for ages. ;) But it has not been a problem for me to help out a little bit. :) I ended up watching the match last night as well, felt bad for the last bloke taking the pentalty kick for England!

it was boring if you ask me. Stalemate kind of games where nothing is really happening :/

I am printing off a pattern to make for my youngest nephew for his birthday. Apparently river otters are his fav animal. This pattern has 15 pages so lol it's gonna take awhile. o.0

yeah, that must be an immense amount of pressure on any of the players when it comes to a penalty shootout! England did better than I thought they would though (I certainly didn't expect them to get to the final!) ;)

hehe that's like most football games I've seen on tv - looks quite like a lads' kickaround in the park at times :P But then that's probably why I just check to see the score then go back to watching something else :P

Some of the artwork/sets are pretty nice. I am just lazy with changing my HA as you know. lol :noms brains:

I know I could never have dealt with that kinda pressure, that is for sure. Especially since he was so young, only 19 that got sent to do the last one. Still quite an achievement to make it that far!

The questing is going well, done all but Sarah all days. :) Have you been doing them? :)

I hadn't realised the last one was that young - that's definitely a shed load of pressure, especially when you know that some "fans" will be complaining about him not scoring that last one! The world cup is only next year, so hopefully they can build on the Euros for that ;)

Now that is impressive! :D I've not been able to do all the quests every day, but I've made sure to at least do the Wizards ones daily ;)

There have been talk about it not being fair putting that much pressure on such a young player, at least the penalty kicks made it an entertaining match to watch. :D I think we def. have to look out for England next year.

Aww, sorry the monster purse gave you trouble. You know how I have struggled with the cursed sweater, Fun indeed. lol I always feel that boys/men are harder to shop for or find something to make them.

I can imagine "the curse" can mess with their mind as well. :) No matter which player you pick, you cant know for sure they will be able to score after all.

I have not knitted in a while now, it is very warm wool and not really great for summer knitting. :)

that's very true - a player could be really great at penalities in training, but the pressure of taking that shot at the end of a match could just get to them completely! ;)

I've finished the two bears (just need to get the photos done for them), and I've also found an old school friend who wants both bears for her son, so once I've got the pics done, they can be boxed up and posted to her :D :D I've got a couple of shirts lined up to sew (two for me that I haven't even cut the fabric for yet, and one for Dad that is half sewn :P), and also a pair of joggers ready for the winter (I've printed off the pattern, but still waiting for the fabric on that) laughs
