I can then click on that button all I want. When I'm done kissing that person, I go back and edit that post in the forum and erase the code. (sometimes, like with Glitter, who is a Lair Bear and one of my best friends who is shy and doesn't get many kisses, I will leave the button for others to kiss her. )

so sorry you had a bad volunteer experience. We strive to help everyone at No Victims Left Behind, but so many of us lost our first strain at the final stage, that biters with the new ones are spread thin. Don't worry though, we'll find someone who can get you going!

Yes, I got warned. I was in the middle of fixing, I was trying to get coding for smaller pictures. I had help here, and I was talking to staff member. When I got a warning, its like seriously subeta programmers need to put coding in that alters other systems that user is in the middle of working on it. Plus look at ticket traffic, or comments in forum to the affect that user is working on issue. Its been maybe a year since I lost forum signature pictures privileges. I get following message "You've been banned from adding a signature." Plus they should have a rating level from activity of using forum signature, if the user is a beginner and making an honest uneducated on code rules. To observe and offer help, not just right off punish. I dont and didnt understand about picture size, I was learning. Now I dont even care to learn, why bother There are virtual tour websites that you can use, to see many places across the world. Believe it or not, I act like a tourist over there sometimes. I have been over there a lot. But there is so much to see and enjoy, from regular tourist activity to being able to observe Egyptian culture away from the tourist sites.

I actually looked at a couple of the links you posted this morning and watched a few video tours on YouTube. I really enjoy looking into historical sites and try to imagine what it must have been like for the people who actually experienced whatever happened in that era. I know a lot of what we look at as amazing history was really not so amazing in those times (at least not all of it). But the historical sites that I have seen are amazing to see how they have been preserved. They also have a vibe or aura to them, like the energy of past experiences still exist, although many years have passed and many people have lived or travelled through those areas. It has always been a dream of mine to be able to travel. Maybe one day I will get a chance.

I was talking to a dear friend here on Subeta about the snow storm here. This is what I said and think it is appropriate in a forum with people from all over America and around the globe (excuse the c&p): Texas was totally unprepared and had no resources or plans in place if this were to happen. Unequipped was an understatement. I know y'all and all the rest up north understand this is par for the course for all of you but Texas hasn't a clue how to deal with this sort of weather. Texans get an inch of snow and they let schools out because the adults have all forgotten how to drive in snow and have forgotten about black ice. But other than that one multicar pileup the weather wasnt' really the factor that gave us the most trouble. It was the blackouts and the loss of water. We were one of the lucky families in that we where in no danger of freezing to death because of our fireplace. BUt many Texans didn't have that luxury and unfortunately some of them did freeze to death. I don't look at Facebook any more but I understand people are being really ugly to Texans and making fun of us not being able to handle "a little snow". But it was the equivalent of a hurricane hitting the Eastern seaboard for us. We know how to weather hurricanes but we very rarely if ever have to deal with a winter storm like this one. Because of my age I can remember a similar one when I was a young child but nothing like it here since. I always worry and pray for those up North when they are slammed with winter storms and the west with their mudslides and forest fires. Any natural disaster that causes death and destruction is heart breaking no matter who it happens to.

I hope this explains it a little better . I know that my fellow Lair Bears will totally understand. Sorry I interrupted whatever is going on but I just wanted y'all to understand.

HUGS I am a transplant northern from Montana, snow and ice from October to March. I actually got out and shoveled my drive clear here in Texas. I had people driving by wondering why I bothered. There was 4 inches of snow on my car, I cleared that all off. Then cleared all the snow surrounding my car and then moved it. Because the rain gutter, when snow and ice melted during the day it was draining under my car. I knew when it froze at night, there was going to be slippery ice all around my car. So moving my car, gave the sun a chance to melt the ice.

I find that people here dont know about scrapping ice off the car windows or they dont have an ice scraper. I caught a guy about to toss boiling water on the windshield of his car, I pulled over. I told him STOP dont do that. I told him, go in the house and borrow your wife's plastic hamburger turner to scrap the ice off. That the boiling water would crack his windshield, he was so surprised I shouted at him, and then helped him.

You are so right about the windshield scrapers. Most Texans don't own one or ever heard of one. I used to have one in my car but it has since been sold. A credit card works good as a scraper as well.

I find gas stations on the interstate highways usually sell ice scrapers in texas, rare if you find them some others store.

: What galls me the most about the internet is the amount of criticism that takes place in these type of situations. People who make posts that criticize Texans for not being able to deal with a crippling snow storm that is completely out of the area's climate profile are simply mean-spirited, ignorant, and simply trying to earn notoriety (likes) for making outrageous statements on social media. It ouches my heart.

: We get quite a lot of snow here where I live and all the humans who live here have ice scrapers, chains, starting fluid, jumper cables, emergency blankets, emergency food and water stored in their vehicles. One day, after a particularly snowy evening, one of the guests of the Skunk and Stoat Inn in Glen Meadow came out to his car to find it heaped with snow and the windows coated in a thick layer of ice, like a half an inch of solid ice. His license plate read Florida. The human was dressed in Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. Needless to say, no ice scraper. He proceeded to bash the ice off the front windshield with a rock he found in one of the planters of the inn. He went all around the car smashing the ice until his father came out with their suitcases and the car keys. When he saw what his son had done, instead of thanking him for clearing away the ice, he chased him around the car yelling at him for breaking every single window of the vehicle. The argument ended when both humans slipped on a patch of ice, fell and twisted their ankles and had to take an ambulance down the mountain to the hospital for X-rays. One way or another, a credit card will get you cleared up windows after an ice storm......

Hiya peeps!!! I just want to say I love you all and I am so happy to have met so many wonderful people that have been here for me for the past 12 years! My heart is so full right now. I hope whoever "anonymous" is sees this, because I literally had to stop myself from crying. This is why I stay here, through all the frustration and crap on the site. Because, just when I feel fed up and have had enough, someone says something to pick you up, or someone does an unexpected gesture that lightens the load and makes it brighter.

I have just been trying not to think about it because it upsets me. I have been trying just to enjoy the event and when I start thinking too much about all the items I am missing, I log off and do something else. I will get over it (perhaps) in time, but I find comfort in the Lair. I will just have to come here (my hidey hole) and hunker down when I get upset.
