awww hug that lil one every chance you get. i know you have heard it ove3r n over as they grow up SOOOO fast..once they are in school OMG they grow faster and faster. When there is something that went wrong..i tried to tell them..on one knoee with arms wide open..and they knew to come to me for the hug n long hold..healing any yelling etc,

I hug and attempt at cuddling as much as possible. He seems to not want to cuddle much nowadays, but will when he is not feeling well. He is almsot 2 1/2 yrs old and I am not ready for him to be 3 yet. Can I just keep him small for awhile longer hehe. It's my hope he will know he can come to myself or his dad with whatever as he grows up.

I am not doing a list but just hope those that can use the forum signature can make a list that is permanent until masquerade is over. My migraines are connect to my allergies, believe it or not weather change or flying from one climate to another can give me a migraine. Because of my allergies. I also found looking at my laptop was impossible, actually any form of light. Hugs Hello! Well I read that you hope your children can always come to you whatever is troubling them. I have 3 sons, and part of them coming to chat about problems comes easier if they dont think they will get in trouble for misbehaving every time. Like ask them why they did something wrong, why they thinks it wrong and how they can do better. My hubby was always in the mode of judge, jury and punisher. He would get mad, and not really listen or offer solutions. So my sons came to me more welling. Oh sure they got in trouble with me, too. But if they learn young they can come to you with their problems, it sets the feeling of that they can come to you as they get older. Plus as they got older, when they were ready to talk about anything I dropped everything to listen. Oh Hubby, thought I would tell him everything they said, but I didnt. Sure somethings of course I did, that were important and their Dad must now. My older son and I had a marathon chat once when he was in college that lasted from 10 pm to 8am. I could tell he needed to talk, but badgering him with are you okay would help. So when I could tell something was bothering him, or his brothers I let them know they could always come talk to me day or night. VERY IMPORTANT, knowing they need to talk can be when you noticed a mood change or their super quiet. If you ask and they say "nothing'" may mean nothing or their not ready to talk just yet. But let them come on their terms, and tell them I sense something is bothering you, feel free to talk with me when your ready. That tells them, you are aware of something bothering them and you are there to listening and help. Like a silent gate left open for them to walk through when they are ready. so glad to see you here in the Lair more, HUGS! That is really good advice and my parents were somewhat like your hubs, but there were times where they knew my brother and I needed our space before we came to talk with them. Of course it is a lot easier now thag we are older and have families of our own. I know right now my kiddo is learning about his emotions and I have to remember that and to get down on his level and to let him cry until he feels better. My husband has been working on that for awhile and it better at listening to what our son needs. Every day is such and adventure and learning experience for all of us!

His at the age, his isnt sure what he wants or if he doesnt want it all. LOL Sometimes its okay to let them cry it out, or if they are on the floor throwing a fit. Just make sure his in a safe place on the floor and let him go for it until his tired. He will want a nap possibly afterwards, and you get a break or take a nap with him. You could put on a kids video, and distract him while your have a second to catch your breath. Good night and sweet dreams!

- that you want him to come to you means you are already ahead of the game :) He will know. When my daughter was born another mom told me that I will be surprised at some things she tells me after school...even when she is little. Antics of her friends and what they say...this other mom just said let them talk...not to over react but ask questions calmly...she said this keeps them coming to tell you things if you aren't too shocked at what they say. Well I took that advice and my daughter told me everything haha and later when she was in High School she told me everything. Sometimes things I didn't want to know but I was glad...and always remembered not to let it show too much if I was shocked. Well now I've rambled on...you are doing great ❤

yes..tell them when they are babes that when they feel like running from you.that is the time they should run TO you!! my girls never had melt downs or tantrums..ever...they never threw fits in the stores or anything like that either..i always encouraged kneel down holding each other when you are upset or angery..that soothes us both..then we can get to whats up easily thereafter. BBUUTTTT they never did nap much at all yikers was i tired. i would get home from work at like 0100 and then they would wake me at the latest 0600 hahah..damn was i exhausted.

. yes once they learn you are a listener and really HEAR them..they will(well mine did) come to you with everything in lifes path and i appreciate it so much that hubby and i were able to switch off days and hours to raise them ourselvesand not in dya care setting.

I got the achievement, I am hooked. I actually seen another item tonight, but didnt get it. Not worth the tokens. Its became a habit, it took so long to get achievement.

I didn't mean to "Poof" like that. My "Lurking Device" decided to .... um I want to use the proper computerist term, but I am an anatomist and a healer...so I will use medicaleese...had a myocardial infarction,

had projectile emesis,

passed a kidney stone,

developed a gastric hemorrhage,

had a cerebrovascular accident

pooped its drawers.

didn't know where 1TB of data went!

I had to back up 1 terabyte of data onto a rescue disk, which took 16 hours, then run disk repair, which took the last two hours and then run diagnostics to make sure its working. In the process, I had to stop Dropbox and Creative Cloud, because it seems that those two programs, that are supposed to run in the background, demand 90% of all computing power ALL THE TIME.

It may be time to beg Mr. Wold, our music producer friend, to get me new 'Lurking Device' I heard that Apple is coming out with a new iPad Pro with the M1 chip...I would like that, with salsa.

As for the door, ^^" It Might be able to be fixed with a wood plane (my sister actually has a couple. she's had an on/off woodworking phase), but the thing is the house seems to shift Yearly. Like every time it shifts from the winter to summer, or vise versa. I just manage to actually forget about it. Every Year. =_=" There's cracks in the edges of our ceiling from it too. frustrating... there's been times i might want to paint, but then I'm like, it's just gonna crack. :P We need to go ahead and move already.. Hmm, maybe I should try a migraine tracker... Here's where I go on a tangent about what I do personally for my migraines. You don't have to read it. lol

I don't know about you, but I know it's hard to think straight when it's full blown migraine, so I keep a ...kit? next to my bed of saltines and unsweetened applesauce, bottled water, extra strength tylen0l (because nothing else seems to work, I gotta use the stronger stuff), and a small trashcan. Then, on my way back before I crash, I'll start the hot water in our coffee maker (so I don't have to get up to turn it off if I don't feel up to it), and I have a Large selection of teas next to that. Also, dunno 'bout you, but there's something about squishing my face into something super soft when I'm like that. I invested (ha! i call it an investment now. lol) of a couple large Squishmallows (super soft and suishy animal-like ...pillows? That's what I use them for.) Just stuffing my head on one and trying to block all the noise is really nice, and/or having a super soft blanket to wrap around me. ooh! and blackout curtains! I don't think I could have survived without blackout curtains. o.o' Anyway, hope this helps (or it might not because you know all this..). But I hope your next one goes better. ^_^'

As you can see I either talk a lot or disappear for random amounts of time... lol Oh goodness! :D A two year old sounds like fun! You mentioned in another post about learning about emotions. I worked with pre-k (4yr olds) and when it came out we started using the Inside Out movie and some of those books to help them figure out what it was they were feeling. Now that might be much for a two yr old, but I thought I'd throw it out there. The books about emotions were always a hit with the kids, even my little grumpy ones. ^_^
