I really liked the story, but I preferred Bly Manor. The time jumping was a bit confusing at the start and I thought that it was a bit heavier on the horror compared to Bly Manor.

Also, Abigail was a legit surprise to me. I could not get over that hahaha. By the end of the season, I was still like OMG ABIGAIL.
yay fellow Newby! So far my Halloween plans are likely to be pigging out on candy and or knitting while watching tv or movies.
I'll likely have to unearth the sign of last year Got no treats, need no tricks. Knock or ring the bell? I'll unleash the dog from hell for those lone trick or treaters - my dog sounds like Cujo when the doorbell rings, the mailman delivers, or someone knocks on the door. While befitting of Halloween, not my idea of fun (he takes a long while before he shushes).
if the weather is nice on Friday (Vancouver fall is never sunny when you want it) I'll likely dress up; if weather is fair - I plan to wear my dragon onesie; if raining - I'm still pondering. I did buy a new skull mask that would be cool... so many ideas, so little time ;)

Accepted your request! I'm so close to the end I can taste it, but dang if I'm not carving all repeats all day
cue sobbing I'm working on halloween and just also found out it's when the whole daylight savings time goes back so technically I'll be at work for 13 hours on Halloween since I work night shift D: D:
me and my SO will be having a halloween movie marathon as well the day before though! probably try to make a halloween cocktail and dish which is always disastrous at least I can say I tried lol
Thanks :)
Meant to get on yesterday but preparing for my small b-day party (me, my husband, and our friend) and the party (watching The Color Out of Space, the one with Nic Cage, which was so weird that I was the only one to enjoy it) sapped all of my energy. I played some Pokemon before I fell to sleep :)
My mother-in-law got me a plant that is hard to kill so I'll be setting that up later :)
Thanks and, yeah, it is a little scary =D
I was on around midnight of the 24th but not during the day :)
Just wanted to pop in and say hi.
Hope all are having a good time hunting those new wave items :)
Raining here and might turn to ice this evening. sent hubby on to the grocery store just in case. lol

Doing well, just can't make myself leave this house for anything and I have to get my quarterly meds and grocery shop. I have great self defeats to keep me in that I have to overcome.
wish I lived by you, I would help you out.
hubby just got back from getting us some groceries so I'll be out for a bit.

I seem to mostly be getting older stuff lol But it's fun to try!! I never end up getting everything anyway.
I have surgery tomorrow so I'll likely not be on for a few weeks after today sadly. I have to stay one night though and am bringing my tablet so it'll depend on how much pain I'm in etc. That and I've never played on a mobile device just my computer.
It's cold and rainy here but has been snowing for about a week and half up in the higher elevations. I'm up north (10 minute drive to the Canadian border) and I HATE it. I'm ALWAYS cold and this surgery is going to make it even worse. We've toyed around with the idea of leaving but haven't decided on a place yet. It's difficult to think about moving out of state and starting completely over especially with my parents having health problems.
I hope you are staying safe and warm and I don't blame you one bit for sending your husband to the store. If I could trust mine to get the right stuff and NOT forget anything I would do the same. I'm worried he has to go himself this week as it is lol

Thank you, sweetie.
I'm actually getting weight loss surgery! I've been in the program for about a year and I finally get the surgery tomorrow. I'm getting the gastric sleeve done where they cut off 2/3 of your stomach and then stitch it up to create a new, smaller stomach. I'm super excited but terrified at the same time. A lot of what if's for after but long term it'll be a blessing for me. It takes A LOT of SUPER hard work though especially afterwards since I'll be "re-learning" my stomach and what it can and can't handle etc.
- I wish you luck overcoming everything! I'm not sure your story but I have a couple of diagnosed mental illnesses and know how challenging it is to change your state of mind. It is just as difficult, if not more so, as trying to overcome something physical. For now are you able to request your meds be delivered? Around where I live the pharmacies do delivery (I believe only one did it before but with COVID most offer the service). Although that doesn't help with the groceries aspect and the grocery shopping services cost too much for my liking. What about curbside pick up? Sorry if I'm on the complete wrong track with my thinking!

Thank you for even spending the time even thinking about it. To be transparent, I have a heart aneurysm, kidney issues, lower back pain, peripheral arterial disease, and arteriosclerosis. Being a senior in a state that is in the red for covid again with my health issues is not helping plus the left leg pain when walking is very hard. My pharmacy will not deliver Medicare prescriptions and I also need a flu shot from them. Can't afford my chiropractor now as she doesn't take my insurance. So, put all that together and going out is near impossible but tomorrow I will and have to go out and take care of these things. Not to mention that I have positional vertigo that comes and goes which caused me to break my left wrist in two places a couple of years ago and having my best friend of 50 years die from covid factor into this as well. Very sorry for the medical rant.
That is my life atm. Having a hard time making myself do anything right now. I have a couple things I've been putting off for months, getting to the point of not being able to postpone anymore and I still don't want to go out. Bad head space. I'm very sorry about your friend. hugs
Best wishes for a good surgery and recovery!
“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin
"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the orphan." - Isaiah 10:1-2
best of luck on the surgery. You can raid my extras shop when you get back for anything you miss.
sorry you habe to work.
I love making HA contests so much I worry I do too many.
I would love to see one of your knitted lovelies, but no pressure.
seeing a councillor really helped me with those feelings, that and meds.
keep on keeping on. Maybe you can find someone to help locally, but I find it really hard to find resources even when they exist. It is like they want to make it hard to find help.
You aren't alone, my best friend and I spoke yesterday and he too and friends of his just can't bring themselves to leave the house. Speaking of non working folks. It's a bad head space shared by more people than we can know I now realize. There is a group I could contact but who knows who they might have been in contact with. A few months ago they stopped having home health aides come and help with the chores so I am not feeling encouraged in light of this. But I now have a laundry service and I love it since I can't do the wrought iron stairs down to the basement nor can I carry the laundry. And I too wish you all the best with this surgery. Plus a speedy recovery.
