well, I can read Doctor-ese very well. Did it for many years, so am well versed! 😆 So, if you ever write back, it will be read, and responded to. ❤ I became a very neat hand writer after so many years of having to chart on paper - well before EMR's.
: A Healers Hall, when I was an young apprentice healer, we were commanded by our Master to scribe all notes and records with quill in iron-gall ink on parchment. Her paw-craft with a pen was mighty and forceful, but gorgeous, flowing and legible. Everybody who was literate scribed in quill, some had better paw-craft then she did, some worse.
Alas, I cannot correctly hold a quill. I cannot write with a pen to save me. I am like Charlie Brown of the cartoon strips, I am an utter failure using quill and ink. I am the only healer in Healer's Hall who leaves illegible blobs of errant ink spattered everywhere but in a straight line. I am also the only creature at Healer's Hall who either utilizes a scribe- beast, or it's done in graphite pencil by my paw. As the Master Healer now, this is an embarrassment for me. My pencil script is beautiful, but it's quite underwhelming.
So, if a human Dr. cannot write legibly, utilizing something as amazing as a quality fountain pen or a ballpoint pen, why do they bother writing at all? Don't all human physicians now carry lurking devices? I have one. I use my iPad lurking device for all writing and communicating with the human world. Surely human Dr.s, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Chemists, and Al Gore do the same?
And the less I talk about my writing mirrored, the better. Only my signature has gotten any level of practice. I just don't want it to be an exact mirrored duplicate, I'm not Leonardo DaVinci...
Help me out here. I can't find you.

I'll want to keep practicing, somewhere along the way I decided to make a watermark from it. Let'em wonder what it means.
Another fine Thorsday after splitting a trunk outside. Nothing to do but burn the sickly and infested old wood. Just wonder where I left my fat wedge...

There are still physicians here in the US who do not use a computer, especially in rural areas. We have a physician near where I live, who refuses to use one, and refuses to learn, so all his nurses have to do his work, and theirs. I would not put up with this. Pay is not worth it, nor is losing your license. In the hospital where I used to work as a nurse practitioner, we had no choice. You learned it, or you found other employment. But when I first began in the field of nursing, we did not have computers. Everything was written by hand. Then, when EMR's came into play, we were the first hospital to go entirely electronic. I loved it, but some of the others did not. We saw a lot of retirements back then....lol One thing is for sure, in the medical field - if you cannot change with the times, you will be left behind. Moving forward is a must, if we are to expand our knowledge, and productivity.
These sickly trunks and logs split almost without effort, yet burn all the same. Mine finished the hour, and I stink of smoke and sweat. Its a good a time as any to wash off...cut this thinning rug first.
I may not have much experience when it comes to prior methods of automotive repair and maintenance. I do know it's the same there, there may not be much demand for retro knowledge unless you want to work on classic and antique cars. I'm still in the shallow end, computerized systems and equipment are critical for modern technicians.
Hi all!
and I'm a letter writer, myself. I have several friends that I keep in touch with almost solely by letters. It's such a pleasure to have one in the mailbox!
Your red peppers, tomatoes and rib patties sound great!
I've been lurking a bit, myself. It's nice to have more time on Subeta, but being gone for a few months has put me out of the loop, and I have no idea what's going on with most of you! (I feel a bit persona non grata, too.)
You look adorable!
Oh yes! I love to see a letter in the mailbox! What a lost art it is, letter writing.
I still laugh sometimes, remembering how exciting it was to get an email twenty years ago -- especially those silly animated birthday cards. 😆 Now, it's just the opposite: I'd way rather have a little card with a scribble than anything!
OH!!! I still get little gifts from my little sis. Last one was little honeybee stickers. My business name is, The BumbleBee Hive, (my nickname is Bumblebee) and so she keeps sending little bee themed things. I love that too! Little things, that let you know the other person is thinking of you, specifically. That is what letter writing means to me. Letting that other person know that I am sitting there, thinking of only them, while writing that letter, card, or what have you.
Mash up by PezMAN Been on repeat all afternoon. Mine like the sampling of oldies.
Hopefully I can eat the majority before it goes to the chickens and geese. I may run out of dressing...
Couldn't agree more! One of my friends is thoughtful, like that, and it's always such a treat to get something from her.
I didn't realize that fowl would eat things with such strong taste, such as pepper or tomato. I always had them pictured needing a bland diet.
