Does subeta work on ubnutu & Linux okay?

Hell of a start to the week, I need to speak to my bank about a balance from my mother's credit card. I cannot afford to pay any amount, especially on a fixed income. This was something better addressed last week, before the holiday. This was brought to my attention just today...

I asked my sister to address this, and she told me the issue can be disregarded. The balance was closed along with the account it was tied to.

Running on low is better than on deficit, in light of the current situation I may have to drop attending the fall semester. Just like what I went through growing up. What a drag...

Oh I am glad to hear that. We went through some threats after my mother's passing, and had to get an attorney involved. We are NOT responsible for our relative's debts...no matter what the threats may be. Those debt collectors will make you think you are, but an attorney assured us this was not the case. I think we all need a lawyer in the family....lol

I am sorry to hear you might have to drop part of your course! :( I sure hope some things can change for you. Are there scholarships available? Or grants, for which you could apply?

Dropping the next semester is only a small delay, but my understanding of grants or scholarships is limited. I'm not certain I would qualify, or if I do if the number of hours per semester would put more strain. My friend who studied under scholarship had taken four classes, which was very stressful when he took several automotive courses at a time.

It's a waiting game to hear about my status. Its a test of my resolve, just a grain.

Perhaps the registrar at the campus could help, and answer some questions. Couldn't hurt to ask....sure would hate to see ya have to drop it, just because of finances. :'( Or could you take the next part at another time, without losing out on anything?

I'm fairly certain the requirements for grants of scholarships include a quota of hours per semester, something I'm not able to wring out anymore. The plan is to iron out my finances to allow attendance in spring of '22.

I'm studying an Associate in Automotive Technology, on cue to all the weekends I spent with my friend making his dream car.

I have to try those. I have already switched to duck duck go instead of google... next big move (I left facebook and whatsapp) is to leave google/chrome/gmail. Baby steps though.

I do hope you can work out the finances. I had grants and loans to take classes too.

I quit Facebook (and whatsapp) and am thinking about adding google/gmail to that list. said she quit Windos altogether and is using Linux /Ubuntu operating system. The only thing stopping me from using those was worry that I couldn't get to subeta! Now all I need is time and energy so I can switch. I am using a dual boot, I did keep Windows, but I have been using Linux for the most part, doing my best to learn it, and Ubuntu. I am pretty sure that Subeta runs, or at least used to run, on a Linux platform. I wonder if they still do.....

hmm ya got me stumped there i recognoze the name Linux and it is like a different..server???...than whatever hahahha...i am totally useless with that stuff is why i use a simple chromebook now :):)

Ohhh!! How do you like your Chromebook?? Hubby says he is going to get me one, but I told him to hold off, while I am learning Linux. Linux/Ubuntu is an operating system, like the Chrome OS, or Windows OS, except it is free, open source.

pretty much like the chromebook for ease of use..but i have never learned enough about it like making a desktop..and it can't run many bid things i dont think...like officethings..BUT i really don't know hahaha. I think because of this conversation i will follow the leads to learning how to set this one up..it does ask me all the time.

..are you just trying to decrease your "computer footprint"so to speak or internet??why did you get off face book and such. i have an accountthere but i never use it..i like using messenger to talk with people i actually communicate with.

Well, I wonder if having a Chromebook would be better for travel. I hate taking my lappy. I am in the hospital quite often, and it would be nice to have something a bit more portable. Do you like the size?
