I spent about an hour and a half splitting stumps, these are easier being a different tree than I'm used to working with. The time today is a dent on the pile, and will continue as a project for summer. That and wrench out the engine of an old Ford camper truck to tinker with.
Also comes the test of my connection when it comes to my online class tonight. I paid the due earlier in hopes that it will allow a trouble free session, I'd not want a repeat of last week's absence.
I may as well cook up an outfit for ARM, but I'll hide it behind the next background montage. I look forward to mopping the floor with Mr Gossip's head.
[edit] And the HA is called "Oh, look who's home". The outfit is still a WIP...
AND I adopted [pet not found] to make Nostalgic Hikei. I like the version of Rainbow Dash that says "Darling" every sentence.
Thank you :) I'm doing well ;)
Nah, the trouble is with the campus' network, which didn't allow neither students or faculty to access. My end of a slower connection just made the process worse, like last night. I managed to connect, but that took forty minutes and only a few other students came in. After the hour struck, it was just dropped.
My own connection kicked in earlier today, I will have to take steps to conserve my modest data allowance. Tonight though, I can indulge in a few rounds of Tetris 99.
Great HA.

Bloody holidays...
No shop tonight, so I spent the day with my siblings and their children. Though we plan on a cookout this weekend. And except for a memorial service for an aunt, is pretty much just another three days off.
"When are you having children?" They ask... When a southpaw'd woman strong enough to handle a adult schizophrenic shows up I answered. So basically never...
wave always good to see ya!
Weather supposed to be nice there, this weekend? I see we have 80's in our future here.....ugh....too hot for this gal.
I wish folks would come up with another question....the one about children is a painful one, for many folks, and for many different reasons. ❤
There are precisely zero now, the only one who could died a few months ago. I'm not wasting time asking for stupid things, I have important priorities to attend.
I'll care for the ones already here, thank you.
Were it not for the events queued this weekend, I'd be making some rounds on the quasi wreck of a car me and my friends are working on. I know that if certain parts cannot be acquired, the project is called off. As I mentioned this car is a mashup of several models and years, so locating specific components is a challenge. But if this is deemed beyond saving, I hope to be paid for my efforts. It's a crapshoot really.
Do you have any plans for working on the car, after this weekend? I love reading about that car! It's like I am reading a book, and I am excited to see how it pans out! :D
At this time the biggest obstacles are some suspension and brake issues, to then be followed by engine mounts, and a belt tensioner. The main issue, really is a common lack of funds compounded by the age and rarity of feasible parts. In my case, the whole experience has very much been a taste of what's to come in this profession. The first project I worked on involved a car just as old, but rarer still. A beautiful 1988 Pontiac Fiero, which me and my friend stripped to the bare frame.
I bet it would be really difficult to find some of those parts! Could ya fab some up on a lathe, or something? I know my husband has done that occasionally, when parts were truly obsolete. He just did that, in fact, on a generator that someone dropped off last weekend. Of course, if you are wanting a true replica, that would not work, I guess. Would you need the official part, from a manufacturer?
That's where a lack of funds can hinder the project. Some manufacturers, whether original or a suitable replacement is discouragingly expensive. And machining parts is impractical, none of us know or any machine shop who could.
Well, that does put a damper on things.. Is there a rush to get it completed tho? Or are you able to take as much time as you would like?
