Oh good idea! I used to always forget about that, and ended up scrambling.....it was tough for me to get used to! Last time I did it was about 3 months ago, and wow what a difference it makes! It felt like I was moving at a snail's pace, compared to my norm....lol That one lasted about a week, before the data reset. Glad it was just my phone, because I think I would end up throwing my laptop across the room, if I had to deal with slow speed on it.....lol

I'm not so certain, it's been half an hour and its still loading. I'll press on, but it looks bad. I think the connection whittles out if any number of separations exist from signal to device. Also the Blackboard is accessed through the college's portal. The process has three logins before I can get through the collaborate page

Security measures I guess. This should take ten minutes under normal circumstances. I may resort to using my phone alone now.

Is there a deadline for this to be completed? I forget if it is reading, or actual worksheets/questions that need to be answered.

My assignments from before spring break are completed, but I'm unable to redo any. This week's are due Sunday, so I'll complete what I can.

Well, after the struggle I gave up. My attempt on my phone didn't work out, it's browser need an update as well. And I can't even load the app to find out. So this week and the next I'm forced to sit out.

I'll be glad if and when the online portion is just the homework, and not the lectures too. Part of me does miss the little exposure from going on campus to whittle time at the student union or staying to do my homework. Wasn't so long ago, huh?

Aww....I am sorry it didn't work out. That is a bummer, for sure. :( Is there a way to contact the instructor for some other way to complete the work, perhaps?

Really was not that long ago when we were able to commune with others, and feel human. This is definitely wearing thin. I mean, I am an introvert to the max, and even am missing the little bit I was able to do with others.

My last resort is to leave a message by phone, give my explanation. There are details that will have to be included to justify my predicament.

Oh yes, the small but consistent time out from home was a welcomed supplement to weekend with friends. Most of which were met at college or from interactions there. It won't be the same if and when its re-established.

Oh I hope something can be done. I know the instructor knows you are a serious student, and I would hope he would be accommodating.

I often wonder how it will be in the future. So many things we need to work out, and I feel so bad for the little ones, who have been out of touch with their pals, and that all so important social factor when growing up. Makes me wonder about their mental health, and how they are coping. And what about those without loved ones, who take a true interest in them. Hurts my heart.

Funny thing was, I went to my friend's house for another brake job. The same thing occurred this time, there was no apparent problem with this car's front brakes... I told him about my online woes, and he responded with his own tale with the college's network. It seems that all students and faculty had issues logging in and couldn't interact.

And... I spent the afternoon out of the house before going to my friend's house. I had gone to a Savers to whittle time, I happened upon some Lego figure elements and a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird. I spied inside one of the Lego bags a Transformer, not just any a near complete Jazz from Transformers: The Animated series. Which I gave to my friend, who turns out didn't have this one.

Shop is tomorrow, and I want to mention the suspension job I want to perform on-site. I need to first buy the tie rod ends to make the replacement, and I believe an alignment comes after.

[Edit] Which had good results as well. The group I worked with was struggling to perform an alignment, and after two hours they asked I take a stab at it. Something I noticed immediately was an eccentric bolt was loosened too much, which hampered the process. Our instructor stepped in to check on us and suggested on what to do. With that in mind I was able to get the angles within specifications. The next step was to correct the tie rod ends, this would be useful experience when I need to do the same on my car. I find the process of adjustment to not be all that difficult, I know also this always differs with every vehicle. I make sure to offer myself to attempt.

I have several pending tasks on my table, a few calls and the ton or so of stumps and branches to become firewood.

I believe the issue was resolved before last Friday's shop, it was business as usual then.

My friend told me my laptop took four additional hours to install and shut down this morning. To think the download and install took a total of six, I assured him that would be the last time I ask for help with an update.

:O WHOA!! That is a long time for an update! :O :O I get antsy when it takes more than 10 minutes.... 😆 Of course, Windows is on my crapola list, and I cannot wait to get rid of it. WAY too many updates, and WAY too much control. I am loving Ubuntu and Linux so far, just need to have some more time to learn.
