Yeah, I am seriously pissed about how this whole situation was handled.

I first noticed my item count decreasing Monday afternoon and created a ticket on Monday night. Then on Tuesday, the new wardrobe gets pretty much forced upon everyone. I posted in the news comments about some of my items disappearing and was given a response that it probably wasn't related to the new wardrobe. Even though I was pretty sure it had to be, since the items only started disappearing after I had visited the new wardrobe page.

Then it turns out a couple days later that Oh! Items actually were being deleted after all, we just didn't notice even after being told about it. And on top of that, we don't have any backups of the items that went missing because we didn't notice that our backup system had stopped working either.

Honestly, I've never considered quitting Subeta before, but this situation is seriously making me think about it. I've been feeling over the past few months that staff's attitude about certain things has been shifting, and now this happens. Something that SHOULD NOT have happened in the first place.

I mean, come on guys. I'm not even a programmer and even I know that having backups (and even having backups of the backups) is like rule number one for anything to do with making sure your digital data is safe and secure. I recognize that you guys are small team, but you should still be able to make sure that the site's data is being saved properly. This is extremely incompetent.

At least I was able to figure out what 34 out of my 44 missing items are from other people posting lists in this thread.

You might not like this but if you want this to all go away nicely you will compile a list to publish of ALL the known CW's AND sP wearables that got deleted for users to check against. I think this is the only truly fair thing to do.

I seriously doubt you will do this but I do believe that this will make peace with the people who are now too scared to put Money/CSC into the site now.

Both of my Roza crowns are missing, and I've only just begun to look. I am so upset I don't even know if I have the strength to confront all that Ive lost.

edit: Upon further inspection and cross examination that seems to be all the CWs I'm missing

Here's my list of missing items so far:

Sun (Hikei or Harvester) Bouncy Ball (not sure which, replaced it with a spare from my shop) Miscellaneous Beach Chairs (didn't keep track, replaced immediately)

Oddly, while I'm missing most of the same items other users are reporting, I'm not missing all of them. I kind of wish that wasn't the case because it would seem to make things simpler...

The wardrobe is not even loading. How are we supposed to find out which items are missing lmao.

I am missing the same things, except of a few items i know i never had, but a lot from that list.

Oh man, I'm so sorry this happened to you. I think staff saw this new shiny wardrobe as an easy fix to the lag but didn't really consider the potential consequences of releasing it too early...

During Survival staff ticked off some users with the kinky items. Now, they've ticked a potentially even LARGER chunk of the userbase with this slipup. I know that CWs are a BIG part of what kept the site afloat for so long, so angering that group of users is VERY DANGEROUS.

Going threw enough IRL stress as is and my wardrobe is too huge >_<, I guess if I am missing something then it's just gone until I get it again or have it on the WL for christmas time.

Has anyone had anything EXTRA added to their wardrobes? I looked through my CWs in hopes I'd notice something and the stuff I actually really cared about all seems to be there, but I don't know if anything is missing. However I don't recall ever buying the following two items and can't see myself ever having done so since I don't really care of either of these.

I guess its possible I picked them up during a CW pawn shop sale or something but yeah don't know why I would have.

At least in my case, I didn't really lose that much since, after filing my ticket, I refused to use the new wardrobe again until the issue was addressed. It seems like people who used the new wardrobe more may have lost more items.

And I don't have any CWs myself, nor did I really care about the kink items.

I mostly care about the fact that this issue was brought to their attention and dismissed, until more people started noticing it and they had to finally address it.

Hopefully this will be a lesson that unfinished site features shouldn't just be forced out when they're not ready. But based on some of the other decisions and statements made by staff recently, I'm not sure. :/

I will NOT be buying any CWs in the future because of this BS!!!!

I do wanna genuinely say thank you to the users notifying everyone about a site-wide issue, as well as those of you making lists/scouring your huge wardrobes to figure out what's gone, since staff won't.

Just in case you missed their post, created a spreadsheet and users are compiling a list of missing CW and SP items here.

Normally I'm the one saying how good things are, and how well Subeta is run, but I do struggle to see how something like this can happen, then we suddenly realise that backups haven't happened for 'we don't know how long' because we don't need them.... I do feel sorry for staff in needing to sort this out, but I can't help but feel we maybe need a point where say once a week someone on staff can check the system to make sure that backups are happening as they should be.

This is one of those times I really wish I'd kept my SL list up to date :( But assuming my memory serves me right and I haven't sold all the items I'm 'missing', it would appear there's certainly a few that have been affected by this (according to the last listing I made on SL.... however long ago that was - it certainly doesn't cover any more recent items).

Can anyone help? I just made a Subetalodge account (better late than never), and I flat-out don't get how to import my collections (beanbags, books, wardrobe, etc) into Subetalodge. Can anyone link me to instructions?
