Sorry for the delay! I've updated the first post, I don't think I've missed any of the description changes but please ping me and let me know if I did!
As for the zombie skin, I'd added it to the post, I'm not sure if it would be better to make a new post about it or not? (Or if someone already has)
Thanks to Amber and Bug for all of your hard work!! :)

[/box]love this idea ! people charge literally a fortune for the smallest amount of food. it's still commenting on a real-life issue, but not a shaming one ^_^
also wanted to say that it's very nice seeing a lot of "item not found" in this thread. thank you to everyone who's changing and updated these items !!! i kind of wish we had archived the old ones in some way to see the improvement, but those aspects are probably better left in the past ;^_^
[item2=hobo paper bag] Just took note of this one today and the name is not great, but the description in particular is incredibly cruel and heartless. Especially considering the rise in houselessness in the wake of the pandemic, it would be nice to see this updated. Could be renamed to something like "Forgotten Lunch" and the image would still make sense.
I added it to the post, thank you!!!

[/box]I like that suggestion a lot! Any opportunity to change that stereotype is a good one.
I wanted to add, in case anyone's interested at all, that the word/concept of a 'hobo' has a fascinating history as it's own subculture who fully embraced the name. I've got a podcast for that! I'm a wild episode from my fav (R-rated with progressive hosts) american history podcast. Or for an at-a-glance, I have this article to suggest.

The following items all follow a common theme that is highly insensitive and offensive to individuals who are homeless. I personally feel that the first two should simply be removed and the latter two could be renamed and given new descriptions.
Thanks! I've added them :)
I've added a new sub-category under 'Change Item Name and Description', it's for items to potentially get rid of. I'll reiterate that putting items in there is only an idea and that staff can change things or get rid of things (or leave things alone) as they see fit

[/box]Thank you, sounds perfect. :)
i may be reading too much into it, but it felt icky to receive this item as a quest reward today. bothered me enough that i thought i should bring it up here at least. "cabana boy" specifically feels like it's playing on race fetishes and the sex tourism industry, which shouldn't be taken lightly.
yeah! I've added it to the list

[/box]Just found this little cutie and giggled at the name. When my brain reads two words smushed together like that, it reads really fast and kinda shouts the first word—REDpepper!
Not sure if this thread is still active or not but the description of this item needs to be changed, specifically the last word.
I just came across this item for the first time its not as bad as some of these other things but like its just so weirdly rude? and even acknowledged in the description And def has some of those edgy and misogyny vibes. it could easily be changed to something like Seamaid, seamaiden, sealady etc and given a different caption to match
A sea cow is another name for a manatee (also a related extinct animal called Steller's sea cow) and the item plays on the idea that they were thought to be the inspiration for mermaids. But, still, I wouldn't see anything wrong with the name being changed because I feel like that's something a lot of people wouldn't know.
Anyway I came here to suggest for the description.
Looks like the description for has been changed. Also, unless I'm missing something, I can't figure out anything wrong with the descriptions for and , so they may have been changed? But I'm not sure.
I've added these items to the list!
I've added that item to the list! Also the Seacow thing is because the picture isn't of the animal, it's of a mermaid, which is essentially calling her a misogynist insult.
The others haven't been changed yet, the Grasshopper one is kind of obscure (explained to me by the person who suggested it, it's a reference to a TV show and ends up being questionable). The book's title contains a racial slur (though not as well known as certain ones, it's a very bad one), and the cardigan is giving shame for eating basically. It's definitely more subtle than the others, but it's still worth having the staff look at it : ) Thanks for keeping an eye out though!

I understand the concern with the Seacow item. I was just explaining why I think it was called that. Though I guess it doesn't actually matter.
Personally I think it should have a name relating to The Little Mermaid somehow.
And I could have sworn the Grasshopper description used to be different... I seem to remember it using a phrase that isn't there now. Maybe I'm thinking of something else...
I know this wig is a tribute item for Amy Winehouse but I feel like the word "loser" at the end is unnecessary. The Subeta items that insult you in the description really irk me.
I saw that in the TS as well and thought it should be changed too. Mean :(
Right? It's a lovely wig but from what I've seen the past few years, Subeta is trying to move away from the unnecessary mean spirited type of stuff. I'm not sure if Amy was known for using the word loser a lot or not but if so I feel like they could incorporate the word without actually insulting the reader.
