Maybe they're not even going to do free chellengers this year, maybe they're just going to have the Cash Shop challengers. I mean, they wouldn't want their servers to get too overloaded with challengers, would they? Or maybe as said, they'll go back to Throwbacks. It would be interesting to see another NPC with different varients like Blake had, though.

We just had the boppers so it's not like they didn't offer a "free" this month. The free challengers also have always run pretty late in the month.

I see what you are saying now. The way they do that now is with challengers like crithbolcan that have phase 1,2,3 weapons that get stronger with each phase or challengers like baen that have a lot of disposable weapons in the beginning they are most likely to use that do different icons than the permanent weapons. I think it could work if done right, but all opponent weapons would need to be restatted. It also doesn't necessarily mean having to bring in a full blocker or a third weapon when you could block with a scroll so it would give more advantages for blocking scrolls.

I noticed that, the problem is that in all but the most extreme cases of it (Baeun) its easier to just ignore the intricacies of it and just overpower it with stats. Since for the most part it's changing averages over time more than sharp phases.

Blockable curses let you create a threat that even fully capped pets would need to respond to with a weapon swap.

I don't think it matters if you respond to a threat with a weapon switch, a scroll, or a potion. The biggest problem with the BC is that there are very few decisions to be made once your in a battle. 95% of the battles outcome is decided by what you take into battle.

As long as 2-3 times per battle I need to make an actual decision based on the game state, it would be a improvement.

Yeah I think that's because most opponents aren't built for high T12/T13 so you could eventually overpower your opponent, but need more strategy when you are at lower tiers.

Not disagreeing, just saying that it does give you the option of things like scrolls or shards so you are not boxed into a set like you are now. You don't want to, for example, substitute mecha for shinwas temple shard as a "must" for every set. Then you are back to the same problem.
