If you celebrate Christmas, are you getting organised for it? I've been fairly good at buying presents this year rather than the last minute panic, but I still haven't put the Christmas tree up. Not feeling too Christmasy this year, but hoping to get more enthused this week sometime (hopefully!!)

did you end up getting a staff response on that shop name issue? I changed mine to include CwF. I seem to remember seeing you post on the forums wondering if that was okay.

How is everyone doing ? What are your holiday plans

Im doing so-so... My body letting me know that it finds me being too stressed though. Even though I have absolutely nothing to be stressed about. Plans for the hoidays got changed the other day as my dad once again called me, and once again asked wher eI wanted to have christmas despite I earlier had told him I wanted to have christmas by myself.. instead its now to be in a smokefilled apartment with him, where he as the alcoholi he is will be sitting from early morning till 5 pm and be drinking his redwine, then make the dinner, give me 14USD ( or 100 dkkr ) and wish me merry christmas. we haent had a tree or singng or risalamande for the past 10-something years.
at new years I have plans to go to a acquaintance or my best friends place somewere outside of copenhagen, and spend time there so I wont be suck eating smørrerbrød with my family once again.. im so sick and tired of that tradition of my father: " lets have smørrebrød.. oh and let the bread be super dry and non tasty... and lets not have the food on cool storage for 48 hours, but still eat of it for 2 days. "

I told my mom that if they all smoke i rather stay home, if you dont wanna go, than dont go :) or make your own traditions and call your father you invite him at your place :)

MY father is 1. alcoholic. 2. chainsmoker( same is my mother ) 3. stubborn as h*ll, 4. refuses to leave the island he lives on unless ones life is in danger/he have to drive to a hospital. he is also very weak, and having cataracts. and needing hearing aid as well. as asthma and some still unknown disease that the hospitals have been looking at the past 2 years without finding out what is causing him to not be able to control his bladder. ( My sister and I suspect it to be cancer... He has had cancer before but was told they couldnt give him chemo because of his health already being so weak ) Without joking or lying; he looking like something that could have been in a concentrationcamp. More skin and bones than muscles and fat. If he falls he is not able to get up on his own, it eve is a struggle for him to get out of the couch ( yep he sleeps on the couch.. last I know he used the bed was 11-12 years ago ) And the traveling to me is all in all a 4 hour ride.

MY mother lives in a facility for elder people with mental issues. she got her 'joyus' epilepsy, rarely ever leaves her home for other than being at a place for mentally ill people. just got on some nervecalming meds, shows signs of dementia and yea divorced my father when she had a serious case of ( some mental illness I in my tiredness forgot the name of now but involves paranoia and sevrveral tries on committing suicide )

But yes I was planning on making my own traditions this year but guess those traditions never will be untill my parents die.. Or well at least my father, My mother I barely ever hear from other than her messages on messenger where she links to articles about her 'job' aka the place for mentally ill, or spams with christmas " send this on " or " merry christmas " stuff been going like that the since October.

I'm sorry for your situation! As a former smoker, who quit 24 years ago, I know how you feel. Even when I smoked, I didn't like being in a room that was filled with cigarette smoke! Your father should understand that you don't like it, and, respect your wishes!!

Thank you . Our family is all doing pretty well and coping. I haven't been on much as there is always lots of activities to keep me busy where I live, which is good but I'm always exhausted. Probably has something to do with the big change I'm having to make though I don't think I'm stressed. I'm so thankful that my daughter who lives near and my best friend are keeping in close touch and making sure I'm getting out to the activities I use to do before Bruce got sick. Also thankful to my family here. If I've missed answering any messages from anyone please forgive me. Hugs for everyone one and especially for . I'm so sorry you have the problems you do dear, especially during the holidays which should be a happy time.

Can't even find time to start my computer. Why do much to do :( oh, maybe because we were I'll for a week. Horrible flu. Anyways, hope you are all right.

Got a question: you guys have a favourite gingerbread men recipe? My boyfriend's dad loves them and want to make some for Christmas and don't want to use the pre-mare mix.
