I don’t really watch movies. And by “not really” I mean almost never. I think the last movie I watched was A Quiet Place. That was good.
I’d say my top recommendation would be The Princess Bride, if anyone hasn’t seen it. It’s a classic and so, so quotable.
i recommend the new addam's family animated movie its so friggin good!! i watched it last week
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I will give you 2. 1. The Steven Universe movie, because we have talked about it already and I love it.
2. Eddie and the Cruisers. It was my favorite movie ever growing up. I'm a product of the 80s so makes sense lol. But my original screen name was Stardustinthenight which I obviously shortened to Starrdustt it is a line from a song in this movie. It is a movie about a 50s rock group and what they go through its fun!I made the banana bread I shared last post, this time I put in molasses and ginger too. I look forward to eating a big chunk tomorrow afternoon watching Donnie Darko with lots of blankets.
i hope it doesnt have to be halloween themed cause the movie im really feeling right now is Princess Mononoke. It's ghibli, its good, its got complex moral questions and its just gorgeous. Warning for blood and graphic violence though.
Demiboy (He/They) ALWAYS LOOKING FOR: | or similar | any magpie-looking wings | Cool Ears
Gintama movie 2
what can i say im a sucker for physical humor
The Matrix is a must if you have not seen it.
Going Fishing!!! 🐟
, The movie is recommend is 'Girl; Interrupted'. It always gets me because of personal reasons, but it's a beautiful, hardcore movie about mental health, and how it used to be treated. And sometimes still is.

Thanks for hosting! I loved the jokes from last round! (Though I'm not eager to try to come up with more! Guess I should've written things down. 😬 )
But movies. Ohhh movies I can do! I love movies. I don't have nearly enough time nowadays to actually watch many, but I do love them. I've included a longer list below*, but for right now, a movie that most likely hasn't been seen by many... Jodorowsky's Dune
It's the documentary of the director Alejandro Jodorowsky's ambitious (and doomed) film adaptation of the novel Dune. It's absolutely fascinating. It was back in the 70's that this all went down, and oh how I wish I could've seen this almost-movie. It would've been Pink Floyd's music. HR Giger for set/character design (he's known for Alien.) Actors would've included Orson Welles, Salvador Dali, Mick Jagger, Gloria Swanson, David Carradine, and Udo Kier.
The movie is incredibly interesting, and even if you haven't read/seen/heard of the source material book, you can enjoy this film.
. .
And if you aren't interested in that...
I've always loved Sci-fi with a large dose of silly - so I'd recommend The Fifth Element and Moon. ^^
ahahahha im glad u liked that joke lol!!

My favorite movie is probably Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire. It's not a "typical" Disney movie (no musicals, singsongs) but the score is still incredible and it's beautifully traditionally animated. Good story and visuals. It's just a really good movie, I watched it all the time when I was a kid and still try to watch it often. It didn't deserve that box-office fail. But uh, never ever watch the direct-to-video stitched-together tv episodic sequel. It takes everything good I listed about the original and spits on its grave.
Thank you for my previous participation prize.
I always recommend The Princess Bride to everyone - my favorite movie ever and just so much fun to watch.
Some underrated movies that I enjoy but don't seem to be super popular are Brother Bear and Meet the Robinsons (both Disney movies because I'm a big kid at heart).

All my recs are horror right now as that's what I've been binging all month lol. I rediscovered From Dusk till Dawn the other night on netflix, but it is probably way too graphic for some people's taste. For something still in the horror genre with less graphic stuff and way more camp, Critters is a fun one. :D

I could go on for HOURS about movies.. I won't though.
We went to see Abominable last week and I really enjoyed it!
xe/they/she
lol, Thank you XD
I had a hard time picking a movie, but I think the one I'd recommend the most right now, is Loving Vincent. It was absolutely stunning, each frame being a painting in the style of Vincent van Gogh
(I might as well also mention the following films, all about scientists/mathematicians, while I'm at it: The Imitation Game, The Theory of Everything, Hidden Figures and A Beautiful Mind)
With the 5th of November approaching, I'd also second V for Vendetta
And I think the trivia link is pointing to the previous one. Isn't the current one Trade Lot ?
It's difficult to recommend just one... so I"ll go with two.
Nightmare Before Christmas: Great stop-motion, storyline, music, etc. It's become a classic for those in their 40s and under... some also older generations appreciate it but it's less well known. I did an almost life-size Jack Skellington decoration for the common room of my residence. The majority of the seniors don't know the character whereas most of those my generation & younger know. When we get a tv for the common room that's a movie they'll definitely have to show :D
La Vie est Belle (Life is Beautiful): Based on the Holocaust, how one's perspective and psychological outlook can make a huge impact on how one views things. Great humour, ups & downs, story development, etc.
Hmmm, this is difficult. So many movies
My favorite funny disney movie is "The Emperor's New Groove" it is sooo good! If I need a good cry I used to turn to "Titanic" and something really sappy but fun are the "Twilight" franchise movies (don't judge lol) I don't do scary movies Drama may be my favorite types
