I tried listening to K-pop, but I wanted to listen while I was cleaning my rat cage and it felt weird not understanding the lyrics so I switched to Musicals instead.

My last.fm shows what I usually listen to, and the musical songs I listened to for the hour it took me to clean the cage. I enjoyed most of them, especially the more upbeat ones. Most were familiar, I especially liked You Give a Little Love from Bugsy Malone.

Whoa, those are some excellent recommendations, thank you! I loved Youssoupha's and MC Solaar's voices, so soft and soothing. And Gaël Faye has a really beautiful, melancholic sound. That song by Black M reminded me a bit of Stromae, and ... euro house? Or some similar, familiar genre. Amazing, none the less n___n

I have a varied music taste, so I listen to a lot of different things. I don't usually listen to Kpop though, so I picked Fake Love by BTS. It wasn't too bad, but I don't know if it's a genre I would listen to frequently. It's not too different from American pop, but it's not quite my style. Fun to listen to and experience, though!

You are entirely correct about english and I will not defend it. My personal defense is that i already know it, unlike french. Thank you SO much for hosting this event by the way! For music, I typically stay in the realm of alternative / indie rock. Mix in some dance / techno when I want to focus on work or exercise. As such... I listened to "nuevo flamenco"! Or, as wikipedia describes it, rock and heavy metal mixed with flamenco. Specifically Rodrigo y Gabriela.

Hanuman Mettavolution My reaction? I loved it. :D I have this friend who's been recommending them for ages, and I've been quite quite lazy. I know it's terrible of me, but I don't get exposed to much music overall. I really loved Rodrigo y Gabriela - they were incredibly upbeat with amazing tunes.

I think I spent way too much time at work today listening to much of their discography. My friend will be so excited when I tell her.

Hey, I hope it's okay to enter this midway through. If not, feel free to ignore this. So, for the prompt, I tried the 70's art-pop; Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush and... oof; talk about making a video with the budget of a crisp packet. The song wasn't offensive at all though her voice failed to grab me; seeming very squeaky for someone her age and the dance choreography seemed non-existent. It's a shame, it's an okay song but I don't think the visuals match the tone (a problem with music videos as a whole, I find.) Not the worst experience I've had but definitely not one I'll be returning too. Apologies for the negativity all the same.

I (partially) watched the kpop video. Since I didn't understand what they were saying I only watched about half way through. It was a catchy toon and I enjoyed watching the dancing/video.

I just finished watching Hush, the horror movie, and it was surprisingly good!

what a cool giveaway! idk if you want the movie to be halloween related? but my top favourite movie is probably into the spiderverse. i love the animation style and artistry, not to mention the story is really good and satisfying, and all the characters are super great. a little less mainstream movie i like is run lola run. it's got some really cool time travel/multiple timelines stuff, just of a girl trying to get money to save her boyfriend & the different things she tries in different redos. also, pretty.
