I'm so happy that everyone had a lovely time ❤

Now, remember... you'll never know who's your S-PS-S

For those of us that have grown up with Santa traditions... remember how magical it was to discover gifts from Santa? It was also a lot of fun for those that took up the challenge of filling his boots. When I was a child, I even lived in China for 3 years... I still remember that first Christmas whereby I was worried Santa wouldn't find me in a country that doesn't celebrate Christmas. He did & it was a very comforting as well as a magical moment.

This is my ultimate gift to you... to bring back a little magic in a year where it often seemed forgotten. ❤

Thank you SS <3 I love all my presents hugs

I really love gifting people. I've been randomly gifting users all over Subeta, not just on forum threads. Next year, I want to try to find an IRL family that needs some xmas gifts. I'd like to sponsor a family or something. I think that would be fun. I've always enjoyed giving people presents. I always go over budged, whoops.

Well, we have to cancel our holiday plans. We went to my parents' last weekend with my sister and her boyfriend. We've all been careful, wearing masks and everything. But turns out Sun after my sister got home, she got a call from a contact tracer that her boyfriend's sister tested positive,. My sister wasn't feeling well yesterday, so she got tested and turns out she has covid. So we've all likely been exposed. I was going to make some fun cupcakes for our xmas party with my dad's family, and I have my gift for our crazy fun gift exchange game. We aren't going now. We are getting tested Sat morning. Hopefully we don't have covid, but it's better to be safe and not expose people. I feel bad because I've been going to work all week too. Crossing fingers I don't have it.

I hope you all have some fun plans that you can keep and have a good holiday. Bryant and I are stuck at home, obviously, so we're making duck. We have a few presents to open from out of town gifters. Otherwise, I'll probably read or play WoW. Have a good holiday everyone!

Damn Manda, that sucks. I truly hope you test negative. My son texted me the other day saying he wasn't feeling well and neither was his girlfriend. They went and got tested yesterday and they are both positive. The good news, they seem to be okay right now. My son is stuffy and has a little bit of a cough, but feels better today than he did yesterday. He was supposed to arrive here this morning, but since testing positive, he's now on lockdown for 14 days. So yeah, I'm sad I won't see him, but I'm glad he got tested before coming. Otherwise, he could've infected the rest of us.

I've been stuffing trees on and off all evening. If I missed you, I'll catch you on the flip-side. Happy Lumi. Stay safe everyone.

hugs Sorry you had to cut family plans :-( Many people look at me funny when I say this, but the 25th is just a day and if you all pick another day the fun can be had :-)

That stinks but in his age group he has a lot of chances of it not being horrid. ❤

It's so true. I recall one year my parents and I were quite ill from the flu that we stayed home. We went up and saw the family at a later time and it was still a special time that we spent :)

My cousin was going to postpone the party for a few months, but then my grandma died and I think she just wanted everyone to be together, but now 6 of us won't be there because of covid. It sucks, but it is what it is. I'm not a big fan of xmas anyway, but I do like giving people gifts, and I do like the food lol.

I prefer the food over the people. I like quality time with people, not being bombarded by them... the only thing that makes it worthwhile for me is the food :P

My mom was the same way... now she has to be more careful due to diabetes. I never was a big dessert person in the first place. I'd rather have more of a main meal. A special traditional meatball stew = ragout (each family is different but many in Quebec have one), tourtiere (meat pie), mash potatoes, turkey, cranberry sauce, appetizers, soup, somewhere in there we also get veggies :D

Merry Christmas all!

I hope you and your families are all alright . For those with covid, I hope it's mild.

I saw my parents for about 5 minutes yesterday, socially distanced. I went to pick up a few things for our Christmas Eve meal, which is our main celebration. My mom said she was making a prime rib roast for her and my dad, and I made filet mignon for Tom and I. (I made it in our air fry oven for the first time and omg, so good.)

We may go today and drop off some gifts to my parents and to Tom's. But, we had crazy weather overnight and lots of localized flooding and roads are supposed to freeze up this afternoon, so we may just wait a day or two.

And, sorry, I did not get the chance to stuff any trees this year. I hope to have some time over the next week to catch up!

Stress. Too many people. Too much noise, too loud. It starts way too soon. Xmas stuff should not be going out in August. It gives me anxiety. Plus, growing up, even now, some of my relatives like to remind me of my weight, or give me a hard time because I don't want kids, and before I was married, I was given a hard time for being single. And I don't really think Xmas should be a reminder to people to be kind to each other. That should be a year-long thing. I don't know, it's just not my favorite holiday.

That makes sense.

And people should stop with the kids pressure. They make you feel bad for not having them, and then when you have them you get criticized if folks don't think you're raising them properly. Some people aren't ready for raising kids yet.....

I also get the Xmas stuff in August. Maybe if there were more Halloween/Thanksgiving movies stores would get more incentive to market those holidays?
