You're getting wiz tokens because only 7 items to choose from and they are way out of my price range. If you're going to join in on this stuff, you should probably make sure you have a variety of items in different price ranges.

thanks for taking on the secret Santa this year. I wasn't sure if anyone was up to doing it, to be honest. I usually just made a list of participants and had the person below them be the SS. That way if you get an odd number of participants, you don't have to worry about an odd person out.

I usually do a rotation of people; however, sometimes people join late & I have a big heart ;) 3 years ago, the one that ran ETs & my other forum Secret Santa went on hiatus (never came back). It was the middle of Dec. & a friend that has health issues that really looked forward to these events was saddened at the possibility they wouldn't occur. That's how I winded up taking over. I was raised to not just complain, but help be part of the solution. I know it's been rough... I think everyone this year has had challenges they never foresaw coming. It's why I thought you deserved a break :) Squishy hug ❤ & you can participate if you want... ;)

And I've been glad that Tom's restaurant is takeout only for now. They had a big outdoor patio, and we were lucky that it stayed warm well into November and Tom got to work outside. I didn't like him working inside though, and have been keeping my distance from my parents just in case either way.

In a similarly transitional type situation here having just officially spent half our savings on a home in Kansas and likely needing to spend the other half moving away from everyone/thing we know and turning the place into a comfortable home. sending good vibes back your way. Tom was stationed in Kansas for a bit when he came back from overseas and really loved it there. He's a city boy at heart, lol (we're both from Philly) but Kansas still holds a special place for him. He lived off-base and took some classes at Kansas State too.

It was a while ago, so I'm not sure he'd have any tips ... but still wishing you lots of luck!

- was he at Fort Riley? That's where my daughter & son in law were for the last 3-5 years! They're now at Fort Carson in Colorado after a brief hiatus from the Army before her hubby realized that he made a mistake leaving the Army.. now he's back in and they're loving the new placement! Fort Riley is in such a beautiful area <3 and it's only like 30 minutes to Manhattan, KS which is a full on large city with the college - stayed in Manhattan two years ago when the girl had her surgery, last year I stayed at Fort Riley when she had the baby.. this will be the first time in like 4 years that I haven't gone to Kansas!
