I am sure you can find places to sign up for focus groups etc online. :) Its pretty easy mollah really. I do surveys online too, for giftcards and money to my paypal acct.

I actually met a gal from Wales today, a neofriend that was visiting Norway. I basically stared blankly when she spoke welsh. lol I even tried making some of the sounds they have in their language, was not easy. lol Then again, she has a hard time with norwegian. lol I dont know what the accent sounds like where you live, but I bet it sounds neat. :)

sounds like you had a great time :D I've only ever met one person I knew online face-to-face, and that was several years ago now (actually I think it was more like 18 years ago!) ;) Some of the Duolingo phrases are a bit odd (the Welsh one keeps getting me to translate things like "the Dragon drinks a cup of tea" o.O), but it's an interesting way to try and get it into your head ;)

You know I said Sparky was scared of the toy I bought him? Yesterday he started chewing through one of the wood blocks on there, so although he refused to sleep next to it, I think he's discovered the toy is fun to destroy at least :P

hehe well he had started eating part of the toy Raven got him, and apparently budgies like to chew on things (much like a hamster does).... Sid never got into that, as his beak was quite delicate so we'd not really come across budgies liking to chew their toys before :P

Italian doesnt seem like the easiest language either to learn. lol Even tho I like the way it sounds. Would not mind knowing french, as its the most beautiful language to me.

I know my sister didn't realize this one skirt of hers was hand wash only so she machine washed it and nothing bad happened. Usually I like the item too much to try it out though. I only ever buy something hand wash if I truly adore it and cannot live without it (like my one fox dress - it has foxes all over it! lol).

so far it's not been too bad - I tried learning from a book before, but it does help to hear how the words are meant to sound laughs I learnt French in school, although I was hopeless at the accent (and can't remember most of it :P)

They were pretty well behaved then :D Sid undid the plastic tie on one of his toys so it all fell apart, and was really distressed that he'd 'killed' the toy 😇 but Sparky doesn't have the same interest in untying knots :P
